And as we continue to monitor what's happening for us this morning,
we are waking up with some light shower activity,
but we have multiple rounds for today that are going
to be bringing some wind driven storms for us across Brooklyn.
So a few things to break down for us. We have two separate timelines.
We have the 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., which is going to be our first round
of potentially seeing some heavier downpours. But my most big concern
is going to be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for tonight.
So think your evening commute is going to be impacted for us to see not
only strong, potentially seeing severe storms for us across Brooklyn.
Now mainly going to see not only heavy downpours
but winds that could be
gusting not only between 20 to 30 miles
per hour but that's just what we're
going to be seeing earlier for today
is the 50 miles per hour from some of these
thunderstorms. Let's take a look over
towards Sunset Park so we can see early
for the morning hours between 7
and 8 o'clock is where we can see our first
round of those storms rolling their way through
and then getting closer to that
10-11 o'clock hour a couple of showers
are possible but we do have that dry
period that I've been talking about
coming up for us later into the morning
hours so walk through our future cast we can start
to see this drying out closer to that noon hour
throughout much of the afternoon we'll even see
a bit of an opening in our skies now you may be
fooled as sunshine returning temperatures rolling up
but that's actually going to be leading into
some instability that could create some storms developing
for us that are going to be strong
and potentially even severe
so definitely be prepared for today to have the rain gear ready
to go and your alerts on as well as we continue
to monitor not only these temperatures rising but
the storms that are going to be impacted
this on and on but we'll have updates
