How happy are you for these guys?
I couldn't be more thrilled.
It's a euphoric feeling for all of us.
Obviously, I'm a Brewer fan just like everyone else is.
This was so much fun to watch, so much fun to be a part of.
I couldn't be more proud to have been a Milwaukee Brewer.
And it is a surreal experience to have the opportunity
to celebrate the National League pennant.
And to come into a stadium where they got
swept last year and to sweep these guys,
it's never been done in the history of baseball before.
They've never had that happen.
What does it say about this team that we don't already know?
It's a unique belief in each other.
It's a unique ability to compete pitch to pitch.
It's a unique ability to play for each other, not just with each other.
And even tonight, they're down 4-0.
Shohei has a big moment.
Hits a three-run home run.
This place is rocking.
And I can look down here, and you can see it.
You can see the belief that they have.
They still believe that they would find a way.
You know, this group is really special.
They've earned everything that they've accomplished to this point.
I know that there's more ahead, but what an incredible moment.
You guys came so close in 2018.
Is there any part that just says,
I wish we could have got to that next level?
Of course, yeah.
I mean, like, we're all so proud of the 1982 team.
Those guys deserve all the love that they get.
All of us were determined to be a group that they could celebrate
in the same way that that team is celebrated.
And this team now will be that group, right?
They deserve it.
I couldn't be more proud of the group
and just honored to have played for this organization.
A lot of Southern California kids like yourself getting the job done.
Final question, who do they match up
better against, Tampa or Cleveland?
I don't think they care. I really don't think they care.
I think that this group believes they're going to find a way,
regardless of who they're playing against.
They proved that time in and time out.
They just beat an all-time great team with what I would consider
to be maybe the greatest starting pitching staff ever assembled.
And those guys threw the ball well.
And our guys just continued to compete, continued to believe
in each other, played great defense, ran the bases really well.
The bullpen was lights out. Everybody was contributing.
So I don't think they care who they play
against, and they'll be ready to go.
I love how happy you are for them.
I couldn't be happier.
That's awesome.
Ryan Braun, thanks very much.
Thanks for having me.
Thanks for the time.
Ryan Braun joining us, a Southern California kid
who came to the stadium probably countless times as a kid, guys.
We're just trying to get more reaction,
but I thought we'd want to hear from Ryan Braun,
who's genuinely happy for these guys.
And it's got to be a little bittersweet for an athlete
who came so close, right, so close,
and then to see another group get it.
But he seems genuinely happy for the guys
who are going on to the first World Series since 1982.
too. It's still fun to say. He's so close to Christian Yelich,
Ryan Braun, and the ties, obviously, with Christian being
the MVP for as long as he's played on the team. But Ryan Braun really
represents a lot of what the Brewers are trying to do,
and a guy who stayed here
when other people have left. Yeah, he was obviously a one-team
guy through his career,
and the Brewers won an awful lot of regular season
games when he was here, and so it had some playoff success,
but you could hear in his voice
They didn't do this, and that's one thing
that just got away in his career
and does for so many players.
This Brewers team has a chance to go to the next step.
