Fall is in full swing at Tomachoff Farms in Glendale.
That's where the pumpkin patch is packed
with seasonal fun for the whole family.
And in today's Drone Zone Spooktacular,
drone pilot Levi Pettigrew takes us
for a fresh look at a fall favorite.
Today we're at Tomachoff Farms, our family pumpkin patch.
Hello, this is Michael Tomachoff, manager at Tomachoff Farms.
We've been farming here for a really long time,
to the point where, yeah, the city grew around us.
I'll be the fourth generation.
What's unique about this farm is the people that come in,
the year after year generations of people coming in.
Parents bring their kids, they grow up,
they have kids, and they bring their kids,
teach them all about the vegetables and corn and how things grow,
how things don't grow in the stores.
So this is a great place for them to learn about it.
A lot of kids now, they don't know where their vegetables come from.
We have our petting zoo play areas,
three different corn mazes, bounce houses.
All of our front barn is full of pumpkins.
You could even go out into our pumpkin patch,
pick a pumpkin from our pumpkin patch.
We have pumpkins from any sizes,
soccer balls size and bigger to the size of your hand.
Lots of great picture opportunities with all of our fall leaves,
pumpkins, canned goods, and all other stuff for sale.
We just got our new highland cow.
That's kind of the star of our season this year.
We have goats, pigs, sheeps, and then our other cows.
We've got three different types of corn mazes.
A mini maze is a one-path walkthrough.
Our family maze is a 30-minute to an hour walkthrough.
Finding your way through,
you'll find QR codes this year that you'll scan and put on your
phone and if you get all four,
it'll show the big bird's eye view of the maze.
Then on Friday and Saturday nights of October,
we'll have our haunted corn maze from 7 to
11 p.m.
That one's a one-path walkthrough, just get scared walking through.
That one's a lot of fun.
our field trips we invite the kids
in we take them out into the field to pick vegetables
they'll be able to take some vegetables home we'll take them through
our corn maze teach them about
corn we have a couple of corn classrooms
in there like just like at school they sit down we teach
them about corn they do the rest
of the corn maze bring them back out we take them for their train
ride they eat lunch and after that they have the rest
of their time here to play around play on all
all the pedal cards, slides, bounce houses.
Not so much unique, but just tasty.
You know, we don't use any pesticides or GMOs,
so everything that comes,
maybe our vegetables might not look the prettiest,
but they taste really well.
People always get a kick out of the greens we grow,
collard greens, mustard greens, they're just huge.
We put them in huge bunches, size of like
almost two handfuls.
Tomatoes are a big one, so everyone comes from,
I've heard all over Arizona to get our tomatoes.
Persian carrots, those ones are pretty cool.
They're little balled up carrots,
So they're shorter and kind of like a little bouncy ball size,
but they're packed full of nutrients, very sweet.
That one's a cool one.
Easier for the kids to pull out of the ground, too.
Yeah, I guess what people can take away
from coming here is just the memories of being here,
memories of having fun, playing around, being with your family.
I got nervous just thinking about being in that haunted corn maze.
I know, me too.
That would freak me out.
Me too.
I'll be over at the coffee stand waiting for everyone.
Yes.
