North Paulding Wolfpack celebrates being team of the week

Welcome back, 837, it's your time. It's now time to head back out to Dallas GA to our High Five Sports Team of the Week pep rally. Yeah, we're honoring the North Paulding Wolfpack this morning who will take on region opponent the Etowah Eagles tomorrow night. Good day, Paul Milliken is live in Dallas this morning. Paul, how about that overtime win last Friday for the Wolfpack? Right, no kidding, huge overtime win for the Wolfpack. Gentlemen, how you feeling back there? How are your High Five Sports Team of the Week? Can we give it up again? For your reigning state champion cheerleaders who are so strong. Look, I felt more stable in that stunt than I usually do on the ground. So I am very happy to be here. And we are so excited. We are flipping out. Literally. Show me what you got. School Wolfpack pride is feeling pretty good right now. And we, again, are celebrating the Wolfpack of North Paulding High School. Hanging out right now with Dr. Dyer, who is the athletic director. It's good to see you, man. How are you? Oh, awesome. You guys have been amazing. This place is rocking. Fox 5 is always first class. Thanks for being here. Hey, we are so happy to be here. And you've got real community support out here, North Paulding County, Dallas. How does that feel? This is the best community in the state. There's no doubt about it. So it doesn't surprise me. We're just blessed beyond belief. Okay, now, gentlemen, we've got to talk a minute about that overtime win. That was epic, incredible over the Warriors. How was it from your perspective? Well, we have the best coach and coaching staff in the state, so it doesn't surprise me a bit. But, yeah, very excited. Yes, sir. Absolutely. What does it mean for the entire school when you've got a football team that is succeeding the way these guys are succeeding? It sets the tone for the entire year. So, like, the football season, if it goes well. I love football because it highlights so many different kids and student-athletes. That said, can we just mention athletics across the board in North Paulding? Incredible. Yeah, incredible. Two state champions last year, competition cheer, girls basketball. We had a golf state champion in Luke Frim. Just killing it. Amazing. All right. Well, we are so happy to be here. Gentlemen, how are you feeling right now? You feeling good? You excited to be our High Five Sports Team of the Week? All right. Well, don't worry. We've got a trophy for you guys. But before you get it, look, I've been hearing good things about this Wolfpack Pride marching band. Drum majors, take it away. It's done already, and I've been a cheerleader. I might as well be a dancer, too. I told them I was coming up here with them. Come on. You know, they seemed okay with that. Yeah, get on beat. There you go. I'm not doing it right. Hold on. Alex, I'm trying to do you proud. I want you to look at me and say, Paul Milliken, you've been practicing. Yeah. Alex is actually doing better in studio than you're doing out there. I love when Paul gets out there. I love the faces. Showmanship. Congratulations to the Wolfpack. It doesn't look as good with mics instead of pom-poms, does it? I think that's the problem. Oh, yeah. Oh, now we're getting it. We're getting it, baby. Thank you, Paul. And our High Five Sports Game of the Week is the Wildcats taking on the Tigers. A catfight up north. Commerce High School will host Rabun County. That's tomorrow. Kickoff is at 7.30 p.m. And we'll have game day highlights right here on Fox 5.
