Welcome to the TMZ podcast. Devin here with Courtney. Hello. What's going on? I thought it was Thursday this morning, so super sad about that. That's pretty unfortunate because it is Wednesday, I believe, right? Okay, cool. So we're here on a Wednesday. So this is, in my opinion, the most ridiculous story of 2026. And I don't get why people care so much about this. But we will kind of break down the newly released surveillance footage from the Kelly Clarkson incident at this toy shop in Brooklyn. And we also got the owner out. Yeah, we'll talk about two arguments about this today. And I can't believe it. Why do people care? I don't know. Explain that to me. No. Anyways, I don't have it in me. And on a more serious story, I don't know if we've talked about it on the podcast yet. We've obviously covered it along the website. This tragedy that happened over the weekend at Six Flags where the guy fell off the roller coaster and unfortunately passed away. We got some new information on that and some new stories about the man was identified yesterday. And also they're opening the park on Friday, which is kind of crazy. Okay, so Kelly Clarkson. Oh my goodness. You don't have to get into the background. She's beefing with this toy shop in Brooklyn. Is it a toy shop or a magic store? i i everyone's describing as a toy shop i don't know what the hell i know that they that this bird is their opening act to like their shows okay molly yes and there's been that whole dispute over that it had a fifteen thousand dollar price tag kelly wanted it it was they're saying it wasn't for sale there was clearly uh there was clearly a miscommunication uh between her and whoever was helping her at the store so last night um for people who don't know Pablo Torre is a former ESPN reporter so he's my oboe has known him as just being a sports reporter yeah he then after ESPN I don't know if he got laid off or if he left but he uh started his own uh like I guess it's a podcast right yeah it's a podcast so basically it's called uh Pablo finds out and so he does deep dives and and he's done some incredible journalism because it's usually in the world of sports what an investigation this one no I know but he like did no I covered all the stuff with the Clippers and uh that and um what's his name why am I forgetting his name Kawhi Leonard oh and all that stuff he did like a big deep dive into that he did a deep dive into Bill Belichick and his girlfriend and got a bunch of stuff out of it anyways fun topics yeah so the guy does deep dives on you know usually sports stories so for whatever reason he took on this Kelly Clarkson story which to me just shows how big it is it blew up I know it was insane I think it's it i clearly like kelly clarkson has a lot of people who ride for her oh she has diehard fans that's was uh one girl in the back was like i've ride with kelly since 2001 i'm just like okay i i have no issues with kelly i've always thought she was pretty cool anyways back to pablo for real quick he posted the surveillance video he obtained it and they had this whole breakdown yeah we have it up on the website if you want to watch yeah but honestly she walks in she's dressed just like every other person in that Brooklyn store so it's like her using the pretty woman it doesn't really hit for me because you were dressed the exact same as them so i just don't really see her point on that and you can see her and the guy they do get into a disagreement she's pointing to the bird he's pointing to something else and then you see her storm out but then she comes back in and starts disputing with another employee yeah so i mean unfortunately the surveillance has no audio so you don't get the tone you don't hear what's actually said yeah because that's kind of what we need to know because this is kind of was he condescending he said she said of the misinterpretation of what happened with this mechanical guys we're talking about a mechanical i know it can't be $15,000 mechanical bird i know um but they said they open it for every show then i think oh there's only one other bird like molly and it's in seattle with like some like really rich person i don't know this is like you said though i think the one thing uh that we can take away is she is kind of pretty much it's not like it's like a fancy store like everyone's pretty dressed pretty casually yes so i think we will play the clip after we got Adam Rubin who is one of the owners of Art of Play actually at his shop yesterday and discussed with him this whole situation but i mean his thing is that she felt like he felt feels like she got mad because she was being treated as a normie and not like Kelly Clarkson yeah so here this is what he had to say to our cameras i'm one of the owners of the shop my name is Adam Rubin my partner is Dan and Dave buck and i are right here today to support our shopkeepers and make sure everything's okay as you can see i'm recovering cancer survivor i'm getting i'm so sorry to hear that well you look great thank you that's great amazing we are legitimately worried about the safety of our shopkeepers so because Kelly Clarkson has put us all in danger that he's caught by using her platform to try to squat just like a dog i was so stupid missing thousands of people phone calls threats who text messages no no not to touch with us right now because of these garage painful messages from Kelly Clarkson fans of here reciting and not just that but then a few bombs were getting attacked on social media on our private social media accounts were getting attacked and the worst part of it is that our fans who have actually been here our friends and our fans who've actually been in the store anytime they post anything to support any positivity or admiration for our shop. They're getting attacked by Kelly Clarkson fans and getting threatened and getting people telling our neighbors when he says something nice that they hope that his cat gets cancer. Children's art school next door. We had no idea that any of this was going to happen, but Kelly Clarkson did. The fact that these people are getting threats is absolutely ridiculous. It's so uncalled for. This is what I always say about i hate the internet i know and i hate how people have so much time on their hands and like the fact that you're doxing a business over is kelly clarkson feeling like she was mistreated about a mechanical bird like you get a life i know it's a small business stop like doing this and that's probably so scary i mean i i get his frustration and they're getting doxed they can't answer the phones he feels like you know their uh employees and business and people who are defending them are getting threatened which is not okay obviously no but i think in the long term the have you ever heard of art of play no i feel like this this could help them it's like oh my god let's go see molly i know like i feel like it'll become a tourist attraction like i'd love to circle back with adam when the dust settles and he's going to be like this is probably the best thing to ever happen to my business oh yeah well you know people are probably going in there to support them to probably buy other things because they just like hate this totally and like and so and the other thing definitely put their name out there seems like there could be some resolution in this because he did also say that like he was open to having her come to a magic show and kind of like settling the beef i highly doubt kelly clarkson is going back to Art of Play she should she loves molly so much go see molly she's the opener i think she she's clearly caused uh she was the one who started this by going public online and i think if he's putting the Oliver branch out there for her, I think she should return and they should settle it. I love Kelly Clarkson, but you really left not getting a bird and you were so mad that you took it. I can't. It's like ridiculous. And what was wrong with the cheaper one? That's what I want to know. What was wrong with Dolly or whatever? Yeah, I don't know. I guess she felt offended that it was like a much cheaper version. They saved you money. $15,000. Stupid. Yeah. Okay. We will switch over, switch gears to Six Flags, which was a horrific story like i said um this uh 42 year old guy Hassan Kareem um fell out of uh it was Goliath right yeah Goliath roller coaster in Georgia really sad um it was being reported that his wife and daughter were standing below and he was riding the ride riding with his son so i mean that's just a horrific situation to happen uh with your family members there and Well, everyone knows now this ride has no seatbelt. It just has like a latch on that pulls in front. So there's no like extra like safety thing. Right. But I mean, you have to imagine, I mean, obviously the authorities there are investigating. There's like a safety. There's so many safety procedures and regulations. Yeah. But there's a there's an agency that oversees this that will obviously get to the bottom of what exactly happened here. I can't imagine how many times this ride has ran over the years. And obviously no one's been killed. But still shouldn't happen. I mean, these people are going to an amusement park. I'm like the wrong person for this story because I hate rides. See, I love them. So this is like terrifying. So I never really understand why. And I know people say that these rides are very safe and whatnot. But I don't really understand why people want to cheat death at an amusement park. But to each their own. Well, it was just so scary listening to all the witness accounts saying like they saw like his body like levitating some of the other riders and they made eye contact with him he hit multiple things on the way down he hit people that were on the ride as he fell yeah there's reports that when he was also falling they were going through where you get your picture taken so it was also captured on that well yeah there had been a photo which I don't know if it's been confirmed I know we're not publishing it that has surfaced on Twitter that I saw one of the family members spoke out on social media the family really hasn't said much no I think it was a cousin of his saying, you know, they are just asking for people not to share it and for it to be taken down, which I totally get. Well, another witness said that she was covered in blood. Like, it was... It's not a good time to be Six Flags because there was all these lawsuits that were... With the ex, too. I know, and that was involving a totally different rollercoaster here in California where all these people were saying they were suffering severe brain injuries. Yeah, a person actually died. a person died and it's just like uh something has to be done because i know the the problem is people who like these rides they want them to push it to the limit they want to go faster they want it you want that adrenaline they want it to be crazier but at some point you have to look at this and say like hey are we putting people in danger yeah for amusement which i i get it you get on the ride and i guess you would be technically um taking on some risk because you going into it you know you're going on a roller coaster but if you're going on a roller coaster you shouldn't be getting severe head injuries and you shouldn't be dying no you definitely should not be getting bodily harm but it is so scary that this one does not have like a seatbelt just like of like i just don't get it yeah but people i know people want that but you can't just always do what people want you have to think of like their safety and i'm sure the regulations will change because this is because like i think i said i don't know if i just said i said at the beginning that it's kind of crazy to me that this park is opening again on friday obviously the ride is still shut down while they're investigating this whole situation but it's only Goliath because i know that they shut down like nine other rides is it only Goliath that's still shut down oh yeah another one in c so people are starting to shut i'm assuming those are probably the same manufacturers who did Goliath which that makes sense like you need to take all the precautions they can but yeah it'll be interesting to see what exactly what it was because obviously the the latch or whatever that comes down came up but it's like why did it come up yes because like was it an employee was it um malfunction malfunction on the roller coaster i mean who knows um i'm sure they will be able to figure that out pretty easily but um it's just wild to me that like obviously this is a national story it's like would you really want to go to Six Flags on friday the week no this happened as a parent i don't know how you make that i'd have zero interest no but I'm also the wrong person because I hate roller coasters you just like hear like this like one mom was talking to Fox Five Atlanta and she was just like I knew we saw a volley like Fallout like Fallout my kids like were like traumatized oh I know even if you just like this did yes uh how horrific and then the other story about this that kind of was crazy is like a family friend told the local news in Atlanta that he recently survived like a car fire yes with his daughter so it's like almost like like a Final Destination it's just kind of like I'm not trying to make light of the situation but it's just like a really crazy story um so obviously um hopefully uh his family's doing okay because I can't even imagine for the people who are especially at the park that no oh my god and his poor son that had to like I know yeah um I hate rides yeah well hopefully they get to like the bottom of it and the family actually gets like resolution and answers well they for sure will um yeah we all right we gotta go no comments no comments oh you can blame Branson who's out sick yeah we'll just blame him because he's not here that's always so sorry guys but uh we will the frosted tips I'm gonna try to get in here extra early tomorrow so we can do comments do it we'll see do they have is there any chance to do comments before the show because we are always kind of way I don't know I'm not trying to give you guys more work all right we'll see you guys tomorrow
