Cooler with evening rain Thursday

It is five forty two. Welcome back. Thursday morning. We've got another system coming our way. That'll bring some big changes for the weekend. A little rain as well. We'll turn colder this weekend. Not bad, though. Not bad at all. We have cold mornings, but pretty decent afternoons, I'd say. We're cool to start this morning. There is no wet weather, but there's some on the way for now. It's, you know, on the air in south of Chicago. Not a lot. It's a little bit of light rain trying to drift in our direction. I'd say morning dry. And it looks like most of the day is dry. you know so we'll see increasing rain chances this afternoon but it's probably not until the evening we get that wet weather and it likely becomes widespread as we head into the night a lot of it will be light there's some potential for a rumble of thunder which of course would bring some heftier rain with it but overall this is not going to be a tremendous amount of rain we'll show you totals in a minute here's friday morning shifting the widespread rain out but on the back side of the system we have colder air working in that's going to activate the lakes we We'll see some scattered showers, just off and on rain, start and stop stuff Friday. Mainly light, a couple pockets of heavier stuff. We shut it all down for the weekend, and we, you know, bring back the chance for, you know, at least maybe a little bit of frost Saturday morning. Here are the rain totals, a tenth to maybe a quarter is what we wind up with, so nothing wild, but a little dose. Sixty-two today, rain late, continues tonight, off and on stuff Friday. That's going to be windy on Friday, too. temperatures drop as the day rolls on and a cooler weekend is coming our way.
