Riley Laychuk's Manitoba forecast for Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026
Oct 15, 2026
Look at your forecast now, a bit unsettled
as we head through the afternoon hours.
There's an area of low pressure, a quick Alberta clipper
that'll push across the province as we get through the day.
This will bring some showers as we get through
the afternoon hours across southern Manitoba again,
but in behind this, we'll get into some clearing for northern Manitoba
and winds that pick up as we get through the afternoon.
Once this exits, gusts up to 70
or 80 are possible as we get through the evening hours,
overnight into Friday morning.
Then we get under the influence of high pressure,
and that will help to calm things down
and also really brighten things up with a nice ridge building
in the jet stream as we get toward the weekend.
And that is really going to set us up for a very nice and sunny,
not just weekend, but into next week as well.
Temperatures through the afternoon looking at,
on the backside of the system,
some cool readings, 7s and 8s into western Manitoba
and into northwestern parts of the province
through the Pah into Flin Flon,
9s and 10s with that cold front slightly more delayed
into the Red River Valley and into eastern Manitoba.
So closer to seasonal for the eastern half
of the province as we get through the day
and single digits for most of northern Manitoba as well.
Nine degrees, a bit of a cooler one as we get through Friday.
Then look at the weekend, 15s and 17s through Saturday,
Sunday and the sunshine sticking around
as we get through the early part of next week as well.
