Jake Everyman was born in Liverpool in 1950.

In Jake's own words:
"My childhood in the 1950’s can only be described as a Dickensian nightmare.  With life threatening illness, mental and physical abuse throughout, in dire conditions.
The 1960’s were a whole lot better (I didn’t die) but the problem for a boy of 16 in 1966 with a vivid imagination was that I thought I was going to be driving through the leafy lanes of Surrey in a vintage Bentley with Mrs Peel sitting next to me when I was fully grown.
The fact was the 1970’s were another version of the 1950’s and the leafy lanes of Surrey were as far away as the mountains of the moon living in poverty in the north of England.
I could go on but why bother?  What matters is what I decided to do, and that was to make as much beauty as possible in an ever increasingly ugly world.
So I write Romantic Poetry, short stories, and take pictures based on the beauty of everyday existence.
That is my way of coping, and if you like them fine, if not that’s fine as well.  You do you, I’ll do me and who knows, I might still get that vintage Bentley.
Yours,
Jake Everyman."
