Agreed to Co-Sign for His Brother… Then Found the ENTIRE Car Loan in His Name!
He went to the dealership to help his brother buy a car. He says he agreed to CO-SIGN. Then he discovered the entire purchase and car loan were in HIS name—and his brother wasn’t on the paperwork.
How did helping his brother qualify turn into buying the vehicle himself?
Kevin Hunter, The Homework Guy, examines what Otto and Kevin reported, why the buyer names matter, and which documents could reveal how the deal changed.
We cover:
• The difference between co-signing and being the sole buyer.
• Why this situation raises a potential straw-buyer concern.
• The credit applications, contracts, and signing records the brothers need.
• What every car buyer should check BEFORE signing.
This case remains under investigation. We have one side of the story and some correspondence, not the complete transaction file. We are not identifying the dealership or declaring that fraud occurred.
