Camping With Kids Doesn't Have to Be Hard (3 Things I Learned)

Camping with kids doesn't have to be hard. I took my two sons on an overnight trip to a nearby campground (one on his second trip, one on his very first) and came away with three simple insights that made the whole thing easier and a lot more fun.

We set up the tent together, went hunting for pine cones, played some mini golf, cooked mac and cheese, and roasted s'mores by the fire. One of us even made it all the way through the night in the tent for the first time.
