This video documents the unboxing and assembly of the Miniverse Make It Mini Café Series 4 Watermelon Sorbet set. After the provided UV resin fails to cure, the creator attempts a fix with tacky glue before ultimately deciding to recreate the entire miniature from scratch using polymer clay to achieve a more professional and realistic result.
Hi everyone and welcome to my channel. Today we are going to open this Miniverse Make It Mini
Café and this is series 4 or serie 4. Let me see. Finding the tear tap. This has so many
stickers everywhere. So I am just going to open this one. Actually this one is a warning
that you can get an allergic reaction from this one. I'm not sure that actually says everything
about resin but let me just open this one and then we will see what I have in this one.
Where is the tear tap? Right there. And that's not working. This looks interesting. I think that is
a watermelon. I'm not sure. Let's get all of this stuff off first. The hard way. And it was gone.
Let's open this one. Yes. That is half a melon, half a watermelon. And it looks like there's
some kinetic sand in there. So we have one, two, three backs here. We have the warning guide.
We have a little paper plate or stand or what you will call that. And then we have the
collectus guide. I'm gonna wait with that one. Let's open this little one here. I think that's
a little bowl in some very, very nice paper. I like this paper. And yes. Oh, that is cute.
That is really, really cute. Okay. So let's take this one. I think that's the utensils.
And I am going to save that paper here because I might be able to use that for something else
one day. Oh, we have a lot of things in here. Let me see. Did I get everything? I did.
So we have a spoon that fits this bowl and a little silver spoon and the pliers. And I just
put that way, way away here. That's better. So a little spoon, the pliers or the tweezers,
and another spoon. And then of course the tupper for the box. There's no table in this one. I like
that because you get a lot of tables. Oh, some greeneries. I really like those. They're cute.
And the last one is our resin. Put that away again. And then let's see what we got here.
I don't think I opened any one of these yet. So there's a lot of nice ideas and we don't have
any empty spaces here. I like that a lot. So we got that one, the watermelon sorbet.
So that is going to be an ice cream. Let me see. Yeah. So you mix that sand with the resin and then
you actually just use one leave here or two for that creation. But I am going to do that in a
second. There's a lot in here. I have one more of these balls. Um, and I think I would like this
one or this one, maybe even that one. There's a few really nice one here. I don't really want
the drinks. I don't mind those because they are annoying to make. So I don't really want those,
but I am going to clean up here in a second and then I will come back. Okay. So I'm back and I
have the little how to guide here. So I'm going to take this one and open that. I think this is
kinetic sand. I really don't know how that works together with a resin, but, um, we will figure
that out pretty soon, I think. See if I can open this one. A bit difficult. There we go.
And then we have our resin right here. Just gonna cut that little piece of tape and then open up
here. Oh, they have a little thingy here. So that is white resin. Um, they actually want us to mix
that together. Let me just stuff that down there. They want us to mix that together with this bigger
one and then they want us to have the little spoon. Is that actually in there? It is. So this one will
be ruined by using it with the resin here. And they want us to, whoa, see if I even can get that
out into that little bowl with the resin. I am afraid that this will not harden in the bottom
of this, um, what do you call that? Watermelon? See if I can even get this out of here.
Actually, I like kinetic sand. Let's see if I can get this out. Yeah, because this is, um,
not translucent. This is opaque. Oh, and I'm throwing with it. So how would the resin
be able to, um, harden with the coloring and that, um, opaque bottom here? It should not be possible.
Let's just mix some of this together. See if that's even possible. It is.
I think this would have been better with our glue instead of resin, but now I am invested
and then we will see how it works. Yeah, I like the consistency of this,
but they want us to make it topped. So I'm actually gonna put a little more in here.
Um, I could harden it in layers. I think that's what I'm gonna do.
So I'm going to take a bit of this and put into that bowl here. Just try to
smoothen it out a tiny bit here. And then I'm gonna give this one a few minutes under my UV
light, make the next, make another layer and so on. And I will come back when I have the top layer
ready. Um, so I'm gonna do this different cause I cannot get this to harden. So I'm going to use
my tacky glue. Um, maybe I should just do like this and then, oops, squeeze a little more out
like that. So this is just a normal tacky glue. And then I'm going to take some of this sand here
and put in there. And I'm still, uh, trying to harden the other one in my, um, UV light. I even
tried, um, I even tried with this lamp here that comes with the Miniverse. So that should work
with their brand, but it's still not hardening. So I'm going to try with my glue instead, see if I can
do it with that. So I'm just gonna mix it in and this glue should, um, it really should harden
on translucent, but we will see when we're done. I think I might have to take a little more glue here
and squeeze in there. See if I can get this to work instead, because resin is actually, um,
poison, um, and you don't want that to go everywhere. And I am going to see if I can show you
how this, I hope there's enough, enough for this little. So I'm going to show you here,
this is what I have made so far. And when I, you can see that when I touch the hardened part,
then unhardened is coming out here and it's not even sticking to the bowl itself.
So I'm going to try and get rid of everything here. Um, cause this is not going to work at all.
So that's just a warning. If you get this set here that, um, even though that it looks like
it's hardened, it's only the outside shell that has hardened. I'm going to put this into my,
uh, UV light again to make that hardened cause I don't want that all over. And this is going
in my trash. Um, that was a tiny bit disappointing, but I'm trying to do it like, like this instead.
There was a little piece there that I didn't mix in. I'm not sure I have enough here for that
bowl to make it look good, but we are going to try. And here I can even make that swirly
they want us to make. And I know that this will harden with time. It takes a little longer time,
but it will harden. So that will definitely work. So use tacky glue instead of the resin.
That's my advice to you. I cleaned it all out instead. That's easier and faster. Let's see.
I'm not sure I have enough, but we will do with what we have. Um, get to transfer everything into
that little bowl. See how much I can get from here and over here. I really want more, but I'm
sure I can get much more out of this little potion portion that I made the potion portion
two very similar words, but still not the same. So if you have had this little set here,
please let me know if you have had the same problem that it will not harden under the UV,
or if you just made it and didn't check if it was working or not.
So I have a little there on the side. So I'm going to try to hide that with my little spoon here.
Um, maybe I should have put something in there in the start. So this one is not being as top
as it is on the picture, but you're going to take one of these. If I can open this one
without getting this purple, pink, purple, pink sand everywhere. There we go. Oh, that's way.
So it says just a few leaves. So you could just go down here up and take two off,
save the rest. There's more than enough. There is like three of these branches in here. So you
could use them for something else. If you want to, let me turn that the other way around. And
there's actually two, two different colors. I didn't know that you noticed that, but this one
is a bit darker than the other two. I kind of like that. Put that in there. And then my little
top is kind of falling down here, but I'm trying anyway. And these should be actually sticking in
there as it is glue. There we go. That's the done work. And now I am going to clean up here and I'm
going to make that in one to 12. Um, yeah. So this make it mini ball actually was a fail for me
because I couldn't get that resin to harden in any shape or form. And I tried everything I have
of UV lights and nothing was working. I almost gave up on this one and actually didn't really
want to build it, but I thought, why not? Maybe I can make it better. So I took my clay. You saw,
I use some white with a tiny bit of yellow and a tiny bit of green. And I mixed that together.
And I rolled that out on a medium setting on my, um, pasta machine. The mold is made by a two
component mold putty where you mix it one-to-one. And I made that over a ball tool just to have
something to grab it on while I was shaping that round shape that I wanted for this mold to have.
And then I just let it dry on my ball tool. And then I took it off when it was done. Now I am
just making sure I have a nice smooth and not too thick layer around the mold here. I'm not going to
make a straight line right away because I am going to wait with that until I have the next
layer of clay on there. For the next layer, I am using a darker green. It is, um, mixed together
with a little bit of yellow. And I actually think I put in a little white as well. I'm not sure
about that. Nope. Just green and yellow mixed together. And then I am rolling that out on my
pasta machine into a thicker setting than the thin layer we just did. This one I actually made
too thick. So I had to make it over again, but I use this footage for it. Um, so don't make this
layer too thick. I made this one way too thick and I will show you later. Then I am going to make
these lines on the watermelon with some of this darker green. This is just a green with no yellow
in there. And I'm using that and making some lines here and there. And I'm just doing them
willy nilly because I think that makes a nicer look. So I placed some lines here and there all
the way around. And now I'm just scratching a tiny bit of my clay off and placing that where I
want it. And I am making sure that everything is nice and flat all the way around. Then I flattened
the bottom of it. So it has a stand place and I am going to cut off the edge here so that it is
nice and smooth all the way around. And you can see here it's really thick so I had to make this
one over again. So here you can see how thick that green layer turned out. And it's way too
thick compared with the original one. But I actually did decide to go ahead and make this one all done.
And then I found out that I lost half of my footage of this. So I went ahead and made a
new one because I thought this one was anyway not as good as I wanted it to be. I make some
translucent or transparent with some rose and some xmas red. Mostly the transparent one.
And then I rolled that out in a middle setting. Then I decided I need the spoon as well. So I
took some grey and I just rolled that through my pasta machine. And I rolled it in a setting
five on the pasta machine. Now I am cutting out the top part of the spoon. I don't need
a whole spoon for this because you won't see the bottom part of the spoon or the spoon itself. You
will see the handle part. So that's what I'm cutting out right here. I'm shaping it a tiny
bit so it looks a little more like a spoon when you see it when it's all done. Then I take my
newer and thinner watermelon shell here. And I'm going to put a tiny bit of bacon bond in the
bottom here. You could put some of that liquid fimo in there. That would work perfect here as
well. So no worry. And I fill a tiny bit of some rest clay into that bottom part of the watermelon.
Otherwise I would have to cut a lot of these pieces in there. I could mix this with some sand
and then make it look a little more like the picture of the done result of the original here.
But I don't really like the result of this one so I decided I'm going to cut these into squares.
The first one I made I cut them into triangular pieces because I was thinking about triangular
cuts. I don't know why but I actually think when you cut a watermelon you cut them more into square
pieces than in triangular shapes. And then I'm just going to fill up that little watermelon shell
with that. Then I placed that half spoon into the watermelon and you don't even see that the
rest of the spoon is missing. And I'm just going to fill up this little bowl of watermelon with
a lot of these pieces of watermelon, my squares, just to make sure it is really nice and full.
When I'm happy with how many watermelon pieces I have in that shell I am using the tip of my knife
to give all these pieces that you can see here on the top a tiny bit of a um what you call that
so that it looks a little more like watermelon. I'm just poking every single little piece
a tiny bit here making a little more structure on that I think that's a word
texture that's a word I'm making a lot more texture on there. Then I rolled out a piece of
green clay in a very thin setting on my pasta machine and I'm cutting out two small teardrops
for the leaves. You can use a needle tool to make some texture in them but I am using my little
leaf mold here I made. I made it with some small leaves I found in my garden a long time ago.
I have a video for how I did that somewhere. I will find it and place a link for it in the info
box below. I made two of these and placed that on top of my watermelon and now it's time for
baking this little creation. After baking I gave it a tiny bit of glaze to make it look a little
more wet and shiny juicy actually. So that is the build for today. I'm not really really happy
about this build but I think this build was better than the original from the myminiverseball. It's
like it didn't really work this time and it's the first one that I really did not like and it made
it hard for me to work with this one. This is the first one I did. It's okay but it's not that good
because the rim is too thick. You can see that green thick rim compared with the other one I just
made. The difference is really huge so I like the newest one better but here is the result. I'm not
happy with this one but you get it anyway. Thank you for watching and if you came this far I'm
really proud of you. I almost gave up on this build a few times but here it is.
Thank you for watching and happy crafting!
