America UnCanceled: Trump Pleads Not Guilty & Preview of "Sound of Freedom" w/ Eduardo Verástegui

Welcome to a special edition of America Uncanceled. I'm Afey Schlapp, along with Matt Schlapp. And Matt, I want to just dive right into this. I know that President Trump has been arraigned today in a federal court in Miami. What's your sense so far of what you've seen in terms of the fact that you've seen a very active Biden-DOJ taking such unprecedented actions against a federal president? So obviously, for 250 years, there have been multiple parties and a lot of political competition in America. But there was always this feeling that if it looked like you were politicizing your government power or your oversight or your prosecution power, you would step back and say, you know, that guy might be guilty. My political opponent might be guilty, but I'm not going to try to prosecute him because if I do, it just makes it look like I'm doing it for political reasons. And so we just we shied away from that for 250 years. And part of this Trump derangement syndrome and the Marxism, the socialism, the next step communism of the Democratic Party is they hate Trump so much, they put a bad mark on you. It justifies anything. So like we've experienced this personally, but as soon as they can say you're racist, you're deplorable, you're irredeemable, as soon as they can say that, it justifies everything. So like they've thrown all the 250 years of conventions out the window. It's all balderdash. It's all it's it's all ridiculous. But but just think about it. We've been around as a country for we're trucking on to 300 years. We've never done these things. So I got to ask you, because 31 of the indictments were literally based on this espionage act, which is seldomly ever used. Yet when you look at the fact that Hillary Clinton had a server with classified information that was easily accessible to our adversaries, yet she's so James Comey was like, oh, yeah, that was bad. But you're going to be fine. I mean, talk about this double standard that we're seeing right now play out between what we've seen, how other Biden and Hillary Clinton have been treated versus. All right. So, so, so James Comey said he no reasonable prosecutor could go after Hillary Clinton. So what he said is the whole they looked at all the array of laws and they said no reasonable person would go after her. And and that's why he didn't. So now you have an unreasonable prosecutor, the special counsel appointed by Merrick Garland, and he is doing the unreasonable thing and going after President Donald Trump. Now, let's look at what happened. So, like, the espionage act is to prevent people from committing espionage against their country from from from being traitors. And the whole thing is Hillary Clinton gave all of that classified information to our enemies. All of our enemies, whether it be Vladimir Putin or she in Beijing, they could all read her emails. Now, still, even saying that, I don't think Hillary Clinton is a traitor to her country. I think she was sloppy and I think she was selfish and I think she broke lots of laws and she should have been prosecuted or held accountable for breaking those laws. But her most serious infraction was the fact that this sensitive information got into the hands of our enemies. Nobody's making that claim without. Let me ask you, because while this is going on, we saw Senator Grassley basically talking about the fact that there's about 17 audio tape audio tapes right now where it's the Burisma executive. We're basically alleging that President Biden was involved in this exchange where he's receiving money from foreign nationals in return for favor policy favors while he was a vice president or senator. So the question becomes, why is this part being ignored in terms of the fact that we've seen an FBI whistleblower or someone who is very credible? Yet you're seeing this cover up coming from the FBI. Look, there's no ignoring it. They can they can try to delay it. The Biden administration, they can try to cover it up. But Charles Grassley is like the king of the whistleblower. And if he has these tapes, if he has these documents, they're going to come to light. We're all going to watch him and listen to him. And if it's pretty clear that the Biden administration and the Biden family have been involved in payola trading their government power for money, you know, these are very serious crimes. So, you know, they can try to delay it. And I would just say, yes, you should be anxious over the fact that there's now clearly a two tier justice system. But but this is just a matter of time. And the more it's closer to Election Day, right, the harder it's going to be for Biden to get out of this noose. Right. And the question becomes, is this election interference when you're talking about the Biden GOP going after President Trump? I think this is creating all sorts of problems that can complicate the presidential election. Your final thoughts before we move on. Just that, you know, dark day in our country's history. I mean, the idea that a president, you know, people like Bragg, the governor of New York, they ran for office on saying they were going to get Trump. So did they make something up to get him? Of course they did. This is all, you know, George Conway is involved with that prosecution in New York. Same thing they're doing to the National Rifle Association. They ran for office saying they were going to shut down the NRA and then they're finding any law to get rid of them. All these people have run for office, including Joe Biden, telling his supporters that, you know, they'd get Donald Trump. They're going to do anything they can to get Donald Trump and something we understand and others understand. It's all you, too. Anybody who's an ally of Trump's policies and of President Trump, you know, you're not going to be immune to the way that they're running justice in this country. How crazy that we're calling it justice. We should literally change the name of the Department of Justice. We should. We should. We should change it to the the office of of legal whatever, because it's not justice. It's just using lawfare to try to destroy it. We'll come up with a catchy name. But you're right about that. It starts with Trump. It doesn't end with Trump. They'll go after other Republicans, including Ron DeSantis and several anyone, anyone who's involved in trying to fight for this country and keep this country free. You know, that's why they're winning these battles, you know. But wait until we come together and CPAC is it's the hope that is given to the world for us to come together in one in one voice. So thank you for that, Matt. Well, thank you for your kind comments. And I would try to speak a little Spanish to you, but it's so terrible and you would laugh at me. So I'll skip that and simply say that one of the issues, like I said, we really was was pushed in our face. You can't avoid it was this issue of trafficking and what the hate that came from the government empowered Mexico today. All those thugs that were outside our conference, the real communist haters that that, you know, it wasn't just like for theatrics. These these people are evil and they really mean to do us harm. And these cartels that are pushing human trafficking that are fortunately have gained a lot of power under the presidency of Joe Biden around our shared border. Tell us a little bit of the story of human trafficking and how your heart was affected by it. Well, Matt, I met Tim Ballard eight years ago in Los Angeles, California. He was with his team, ex Navy SEALs, ex CIA agents, ex FBI agents. And when I met with them and I learned what they were doing, these guys, they travel around the world undercover rescuing children that are kidnapped for sexual exploitation. These kids are being raped. I mean, when I when I say children, I'm talking about five, six, seven, all your children. These kids are being raped 10 to 15 times a day for many years. And after many years, they opened them and they sold their organs. That's the second business, the black market of organs traffic. Of course, I couldn't sleep. I was I was I was depressed. I was it was very sad. I couldn't sleep for a few days. And I remember when Tim saw my face, when he was telling me all these things and and he said, Eduardo, it's very sad. It's very sad what I'm telling you. But you know what, man? It's more sad now that you know it. If you do nothing now, I knew that moment that I knew. That a new mission was given birth in my in my in my life. You know, my heart was on fire. My my soul was on fire. And I and I asked myself, what can I do? And I asked God, what can I do? I want to end child trafficking. What can I do? I have a I have a weapon. I have a weapon of mass instruction and inspiration film. Well, I'm going to make a movie because movie moves people. And I asked him, Tim, this is a global problem. I learned that from you. OK, especially U.S. and Mexico. U.S. isn't is this is very sad. But this is the truth. U.S. is the number one consumer of child sex in the world. Mexico is the number one provider in the world. So I am Mexican. I love my country. I love the United States. It's like having a father and a mother, right? You love them both. U.S. changed my life. I promised to God and I promised him that I will dedicate my entire life to end child trafficking. But first, we need to raise awareness because I asked him, OK, America, number one country in the world, you have the army, you have the intelligence, you have the technology, you have everything. How come we don't finish with this problem? And Tim Ballard look at me and he said, because because it's not priority, because there is not a priority. That problem is not a priority. How can we turn this into priority? He said, we need a movement. We need a movement where everyone knows that this is real, because a lot of people, they don't even know that this problem exists. Matt, how can they be? How can they become solution if they don't even know that this problem exists in the first place? So we need to raise awareness first because a lot of people, they think that this is too far from them. This is this is far, far, far. No, it's next door. It's behind your house. It's everywhere. And it's growing and growing and growing. We're talking about 150 billion dollar business every year. If we don't do something now, Matt, everyone, you, me, everybody that is watching this interview, if we don't do something now, the pain, the pain of these children will hurt us. We'll reach out to all of us. Then we will be living a nightmare that is going to be very hard to wake up again if you wouldn't do something now. Good news is we're doing something. We make this movie eight years of work for two hours of your time. You're doing something now. You're doing this interview. We're putting together a big event in Washington, which is going to be on the 20th, and I hope many people will come. And I hope that when people leave the theater after watching this film, they will leave not only entertained, but they will they will leave move wanting to love more, wanting to forgive more, wanting to judge less, wanting to become the heroes that they're going to be watching this film. This film is not only about Tim Ballard or Jim Caviezel, who plays Tim Ballard or myself, the producer of the movie. This movie is about the children. They are the real heroes. When you see this film, you will understand what I'm saying. Rocio and Miguel, these two children, brothers, they help each other. They put everything that is in their hands to help each other to save their lives. And they're like a beautiful model of millions of children that they represent that right now, as we speak, they're being raped 10 to 15 times a day. We need to do something. You know, the first the first thing I thought about, the first thing that came to me when I learned about what Tim Ballard was doing was this. I thought to myself, what is what if this is my child? What if this is my child? Well, what would I do? What would I do? I will stop everything that I'm doing. I will hope that the world will stop everything they're doing and help me to find my child. That's my motivation. One child at a time. That's my motivation. Eight years of work. I will dedicate my entire life to end child trafficking because God's children are not for sale. God's children. God's children are not for sale. Los niños de Dios no están a la venta. Yeah, no, that's that's exactly right. And when you meet these kids, as you have, you have taken a lot of people to go see what's actually happening in these kids lives. You know, I'll be honest with you. You can almost completely lose hope because like, how could a kid recover? Five, six years old being sexually exploited, being abused, sometimes their own family members, oftentimes their own family members sell them into this modern day slavery. There but there are beautiful stories of kids that come that come out of this. We had one young woman who was at CPAC recently in Washington, D.C., our most recent national CPAC. And I got to talk with her. And and she's starting anew. She's starting afresh with the love of God and compassion of people like yourself. There are these stories that people that come out of this and and put their lives together. There is hope, man. There is hope. You know, there is hope when you meet people like Tim Ballard. There is hope when you meet people like you and Mercy and what CPAC is doing. There is hope when you meet real heroes, not like science fiction, you know, Superman, Batman heroes, no real heroes that are willing to give their lives for others that are willing to serve, you know, in humanity, because we believe that we are all brothers and sisters. And and as I mentioned before, only only by working together, we can end this nightmare. I love Mexico. I love America. We're not just neighbors. We're brothers and sisters. We can we can end these three bilateral effort if we become one. And that's that's what you and I represent. That's why we are coming together to fight this this battle. There's nothing more horrible than that child trafficking. I mean, there's in Mexico right now. As you and I are talking, we started this interview maybe 15 minutes ago in the next 15 minutes. We're going to lose two more every hour. You know, three or four children disappear in Mexico every day. Fifty seven every year. Twenty one thousand. Those are the official numbers. I think there is a lot more than that. But forget about the thousands of thousands of millions. One child, one child. That could be your you, your daughter, your son. You know, what would you do if this is your daughter? I mean, don't wait until this tragedy comes to you to wake up. Wake up now. July 4th. I am just this is a miracle for me because eight years of obstacles, eight years of working since day one. When I'm a team, I share with my friends, you know, this is my next project. No, don't do that. Don't do that. This is too dangerous. I'm thinking too dangerous. You know what? It is more dangerous not to do it. That's right. What if this is your son, brother? No, we have to do this. Eight years of work for two hours of your time, which is what the movie last. And now finally, it's open all over the country on July 4th. Why July 4th? Because what are we celebrating in life for Independence Day? Right. Freedom. OK, it's OK to celebrate freedom with one hand. But with the other hand, there's a lot of kids in the world and here in America that they're not free. They're slaves. There's more slavery today than when slavery was legal. We can't just forget about them and just celebrate freedom like, you know, everyone is free in America. No, there's a lot of people are not free. We need to do something and we can do something very easy because we already did, you know, a very difficult thing, which is to make a movie, put a movie together and put it out there in theaters. There's going to be in every theater in America. It's just go and see the movie and share the message with everyone. But you've got bigger dreams than just running a nonprofit or making an impact on issues you care about. You really care about your country. And a lot of people are talking to you about, hey, maybe it's time for you to to get involved in politics. Donald Trump was a really successful businessman and then got involved in politics. You've been a very successful businessman and actor. Are these people crazy when they say Eduardo Veras Piguet run for office, run to to be the president of Mexico? Well, you need to be crazy, a little crazy, but crazy for love, una locura de amor. That's how we say in Spanish, crazy of love for God and for your people. And I'm crazy for God. And I'm crazy for my people. I love Mexico. We need to save Mexico. There's a lot of people asking me to do this. I'm not a politician, Matt. I'm a filmmaker. I'm an outsider. But I you know, but I believe that everyone should be involved in politics one way or the other, because there is no empty chairs in politics. There's people making decisions that affect the destiny of the country, if not for all forever, for for many years. And and the things that are happening in Mexico right now, politically speaking, are not going well. And I'm thinking about it. I'm praying about it. At the end of the day, all I want to do is God's will. So I've been praying every day. You know, this this cannot come from me, because otherwise it will be a disaster. I'm asking God every day. If this is from you, please open all the doors and let me know, because all I want to do is your holy will. But if it's not, please close all the doors and let me know and make it very obvious, because I cannot see neither hear what you can. All I'm saying is that please pray for me. I have to make a decision very soon, very, very soon. And you will know what this what the decision will be, Matt. Well, you know, I know of a certain strategic communications director who is going to be very involved if you decide to run for the presidency. My wife, Mercy, is going to be like this is going to be like her daily task to make sure that you do everything you need to to get the job done. And I know what it's like to be the subject of her daily list of things you must do. Are you ready for that, Eduardo? You know what you're not? You're never ready for something like this. But that is and that's why this this project has to be completely, you know, holding his hand. That's the that's the only way, you know. I mean, presuming that you have the answers, presuming that you know how to do certain things to save your country, that will be a lot of pride. You know, you will destroy your country. You will destroy yourself. You know, projects like this, you have to get in your knees. I'm Catholic. I pray the rosary every day, and that's my biggest weapon, you know, and my devotion to our Lady of Guadalupe. And every day I'm asking, I'm praying, please help me to discern. And all I want to do is your will. And if it is your will, I'm willing to die for this mission. I'm willing to die. I'm willing to die for my country. And then we'll see. You know, we'll see. Right now is a lot of discernment. It's the most important decision in my life that I have to make very soon. But I'm not alone. The majority of the people in Mexico, they want change. They want a different direction. We are a very rich country where a lot of poor people are living. Something is missing. There's a lot of corruption. There's more poverty right now in Mexico. There is more insecurity right now in Mexico. No, enough is enough. We need to do something. The outsiders, they need to come inside and clean the house because there's a lot of corruption inside. Well, we're going to join you in your prayers for discernment from the Holy Spirit to know what God's will is for you in your life. This is a really important decision. It's really important to the people of America that Mexico be strong and self-sufficient. And and I think you said it so eloquently and sound of freedom. We really encourage you all to go. And, you know, Disney is corrupting your children. Disney is like the Goliath, right? Sound of Freedom is like the little David. Sound of Freedom wants to save your children. So the competition is going to be very brutal. Only with your help we can become David that will defeat Goliath. So two million tickets.
