The Conservation of Artemisia Gentileschi’s Hercules and Omphale

This video presents Getty's restoration and conservation of Artemisia Gentileschi's painting, Hercules and Omphale, following its damage during the devastating 2020 explosion in Beirut, Lebannon. It will remain on long-term loan at the Getty Museum until its former home, the Sursock Palace, is restored. The painting will then be returned to the palace to be enjoyed by the people of Beirut.
