She recently broke a toilet — not once, but twice. She tore every piece of clothing from my closet. And the stairs? They’re just not safe for her anymore. At almost 80 years old, she’s a fall risk, and while some may say “just babyproof it,” the truth is... she’s not a baby. She's a full-grown adult with dementia who still has a lot of physical strength.

This is the reality so many of us face — finding the balance between keeping our loved ones safe and preserving their dignity. I’m sharing my experience not just to vent, but to help others who may be navigating this same journey.
