This is for every dementia daughter who whispers,
“I wish my parent could live in memory care… but the guilt would eat me alive.”

Let me tell you something.

Just because your parent doesn’t live with you doesn’t mean you’re not caring for them.

#OnThisDay I grabbed Mama IHOP, returned her clean clothes after washing them, and finished getting her dressed after she gave staff a hard time.

That’s caregiving too.

Placement does NOT equal abandonment.
Love shows up in a lot of ways. 💜

You are still a good daughter.
