Today is Easter, and I’m sharing a special throwback—never before seen footage of a real day in my life as a dementia caregiver.

I brought my mom home from memory care to celebrate the holiday, hoping for a peaceful family moment… but dementia had other plans. What started as a beautiful Easter quickly turned into me chasing her around like a toddler, getting into everything. I had to make the difficult decision to take her back early.

This is the reality of caregiving. The unpredictable moments. The emotional decisions. The love that doesn’t change—even when everything else does.
