Well, he woke up and then he uh, he was leaving Time to go time to go to the normal corner. It's weird that he had asked. He's like, uh, do you have a cigarette? I just want to probably Shorten the top as well as like clean up the sides in the back Like that I forgot what we did last time. Was it a taper taper? I can do that. All right, that'll like stick on you watch And I already know how to do the top and keep the sides like nice and blended But then going cleaner and everything having some of this hair combed down and then it went into that Or or are you going flush with the guard? You can do either one watch like i'll show you too. Uh So like just I already know this is going to go i'm going to trim the top cut it add some texture in there Give it some style. I know we'll taper the back You can either have a guard like a number two or one and a half that comes completely clean here with a taper or a fade Or you can have some hair combing down and the blend going into that and then you could have a taper or a fade The flush will be just nice and clean with the guard with the guard And then i'll either taper it or fade it on the side. Let's do that. That'll last the longest and it'll look really good Okay. Yeah, let's do that And what do you want to do do you want to fade meaning that it'll cross the ear and i'll blend more like that or Do you want the taper that comes here in here? Let's do the tape. So Got Two new I guess since the last time I seen you I hired two new guys Had a fire one guy You guys been with the guy that I fired was with me for like six years But he had a massive drug habit that we were trying to help him out of we got sober working with us and then it's always like a Up and down kind of thing with sobrieties or Some months is good and some months are bad I just couldn't deal with it anymore I just had to let him go How how was it affecting the business or like was it his parents or it? So we were a small team of four guys. So as soon as we lose one guy, it's a pretty big impact for the rest of us so We're all and The fact that we're always busy when we lose one person. It's puts a huge strain on the other three guys We ended up hiring two of these young guys that they're like 22 and 21 and they know nothing but They show up. They don't have a drug habit cool. They don't complain ready to work. Yeah Like like two 21 year olds should be yeah, it's like that that's the best way for them to do that too He just wanted to get into a trade All right, you'll make a lot of money doing that. Yeah Especially if they gain your loyalty like, you know, yeah and they've been I mean the other guy with the other problem too is that he was kind of more of like, uh, I don't know you you you come to work with a bad attitude. Sometimes it affects everybody else And Nobody wants to say anything. Everyone just kind of deals with it because we've dealt with it for so long But now that he's gone I still open up the window and air out. Yeah Yeah, it feels like happier nobody's like At each other's throats anymore. So it's been great cool and This is going to be the right haircut that you chose for sure because this one's going to last and it's going to look super Clean and then i'm going to have that top like really elite so it'll be kind of real stylistic But real low maintenance and nothing for you to have to worry about doing it'll just look good on its own That's the part with going flush here There won't be any maintenance like with the hair combing down on the side It's like you're still gonna have to comb it or kind of put that together With this one virtually as great as your hair is you would need zero hair product as well Zero maintenance zero maintenance unless you elected that you're going out one night with the wife And you decided that oh i'm going to just toss some hair product in it. I think I reached out to probably like I don't know 20 contractors And everyone either turned it down straight away or something to get back to me and never got back to me But I finally got one guy And we're gonna do a site visit on tuesday. So We're gonna hopefully rebuild some of it back Cool. Yeah Hoping hoping everything goes well I called like this company from Like utah or something that sets up Self-service car washes and he just flat out told me like if you want me to come down there I can send you a package to do like Just the paneling It's gonna be like four hundred thousand. Oh god You haven't even seen the the place that you like. No, it's just like a set package price. Oh, no It's you know what that package really it really is right? It's uh, you've purchased a new business and you must have money That's that type of package where it's like they don't care they don't need to care. Yeah, exactly They assume that that's where I was like, oh no I don't like doing business based off of that's like hey you live in uh, Tanawan or whatever and we're gonna charge you twice the price and it's like that's a trip. Yeah Yeah found found someone local the best best case scenario I was hoping he was willing to take on the job, but he wanted to see the the site first before he does anything else Well, remember we have people here too. So all you have to do is really get with me I'm, not like going to smoke a grass or like I know a lot of people and you know what I mean? But I don't know, you know anything about that kind of business or what they're willing to do Same with me. I have no idea when it comes to contractors. I ended up just like googling everything and This last guy that um, I ended up I didn't find him one of our friends found him and It's really responsive And super professional too compared to everyone that I called Oh cool I you know what? I'm sick and tired of this ----. Uh Where people or they're not responsive. It's like dude, do you not want the business? I don't it's weird to me. It's like, uh, uh, I one one contractor that I called he said To be honest with you. Most contractors might not take the self-service car wash Job because it's just like a niche job and not a lot of people know about it and like the Ones that most guys are doing that what most contractors want to do are those self-service drive through car washes Like that champion like all the champion ones that you see pop up. I have no idea So how much of that start to sit to set up? the Ones like the champion ones are over a mil Okay, so what I would do what I really thought about for years because I haven't even seen the air but I do want to I thought about us getting someone that uh, that uh someone that that will charge the right price that that knows how to Just we'll build it out real quick for that ultra low price that we know that it's you could do it for Yeah, and uh, and then you could just get it going yourself I would just I don't want to like for me I would not want to work with someone that builds car washes because they're they're going to charge too much Yeah, that you already mean like this the guys that it's like a standard that specialize in it they definitely charge more That's what i'm saying. I don't I wouldn't do that. So the guy that I called on Thursday he he doesn't do just car washes. He does everything but I guess he's just gotta get a architect after we take a look at the site and then Get some plans drawn up I'd hire a mexican i'd be like and it'd be I swear to god and he would specialize in uh, commercial, uh Remodeling or whatever and it's like i'd be like I want the front to look like this and they'd have it all You know what? I mean? It's uh Yeah, it's like the more people, you know, the better The more you can get into Get into weird situations like this At least you have someone you can Get a reference from so does it have to be a car wash on that property or yeah because of the zoning uh zoning kind of Fucked everything over so The car wash is cool though. Yeah car wash would be cool to put back over there. What's the name of it going to be? um Initially I had it at sandia suds, but nice Geez, I like that name That's true I might end up selling it after I uh After I rebuild it. Yeah, if you did i'd love to buy it off you but i'm just saying it's probably gonna be too expensive for me to But i'm just saying it's like damn the car washing would always be a good idea to Think I wouldn't sell it. I mean Like if I could hang on to it, I would but I want I want to be able to get into a larger shop And there's a shop that's going up for sale near us and He wants like one point two So, you know if I if I wanted to free up some money I I gotta get rid of something But if I can hang on to that'd be great, too This is uh Just having some sort of a retirement plan, I guess I mean, I would rather go with the new building, uh with your auto auto business right now only because like, uh, Expanding that you're never gonna lose like i'm just saying you've already built a home run with that either way. So it's kind of like, uh, If it was for that reason, you know, then yeah, the the nice part is that the The guy that's selling his his shop. He's he's a friend of ours, too He's just retiring Oh, wow, he would he would actually and he you know, he has so much knowledge because he's been around for so long So he actually would work for like two or three years after purchase but also train us and things that we're not too familiar with That's cool. Wow. Yeah, it's hard to mess up on that. You can't really pay for that kind of experience that's Priceless you can't it's like someone like me giving it to someone else and handing it's like that's where You can't say no to that deal either that's why i'm trying to figure out what i'm gonna do because Great problem to have Just saying it's uh, I would go with the shop. Yeah if you were able to put the uh Uh car wash on ice that that would be what I would do If you weren't able to then then I would just sit up and sell it. It's uh Yeah i'm hoping They can get everything If they can rebuild it fast, then I can sell it fast and then I can work out a deal with the shop The other shop's like three times the size of our shop And just to own it would be nice Yeah, I would do that for sure and i'm just saying you could expand right away and you guys easily could do that I would for sure I feel like if you upgrade the shop, you'll be able to buy more car washes down the road if you wanted to Buy a car wash shot in the dark or something that's already working take the new crew over there with you have them excited and Get trained and Just try to get a loan for that amount. I mean, that'd be great And we don't have to lose any capital up front And you don't have the right interest rate and everything I just I don't know these days with loans It's always so high But I just think whatever you do is going to be right either way. I'm just saying sorry to say that but it's like it is I don't regard this Yeah, it's been We've been pretty stable for like the last Eight years. Oh, wow. That's nice. Jeez It's nice to be stable This is pretty tough it was like there's a lot I mean i'm sure you know being a barber There's a lot of competition but a lot at the same time There's it's you're also all kind of working together Everyone just wants to get their car fixed. Everyone just wants the right price And we'll all just do it the right way. But there's a lot of a lot of bad shops, too There's a ton of them, but but I feel like that's what will accentuate you Yeah, because uh, you you're not you you're one of the good ones. So it's like oh, yeah, you'll hold that crowd and then add on and Every year just seems to get better. So Have these younger kids start doing the tiktok or instagram Yeah, the the gen z is uh I guess i've never really worked with them. But now now that I got two they're both kind of the same they're quiet They just show up to work on time Oh, wow. Yeah, jeez. That's nice. Yeah Damn that that's 80 of the battle. Yeah Just give them their what my morals are what I expect and they just follow it and this Was unexpected because all the stuff I see online I'm sure there's bad ones out there too, but there's bad bad millennials Bad gen z's bad boomers Oh my god All right, I guess we're like most of like the millennials Like my age was like 30 35 everyone Shows up to work no matter what even if you're like sick The millennials was a pretty good group I'm, just saying they they got to get the technology, but they also got to see the way the old part like so that that about them is Like they're they're pretty much on top. Yeah You could go out to a bar on a friday night and if you had to work At saturday morning and you stayed up till like 5 a.m. You have work at 8 you still rolled into work Oh, yeah, I don't like any of the calling ----. That's it doesn't work for me Go to work put it in your eight hours or whatever and go home Trying not to drop quality at the same time There was a shop I was at where one of the girls she would be like, uh, oh, yeah, like it'd be getting a little bit slow and she's like i'm gonna go in and take off now and It's like damn That's what I call fly by night so imagine over at your place, uh It's like you know what? It's uh I haven't seen any cars come through just yet. It's a little slow right now. I guess i'm gonna go ahead and head off and It's like wow Yeah, leave everybody else Oh my god, dude, that that ----'s not gonna happen over In a barber shop that could happen like, you know, you have an hour and a half that's dead or whatever and then all of a sudden You know people and then that's like when the barber leaves is when the people will come That always happens every time it's like oh as soon as that person leaves all of a sudden everyone's coming in Every time All right, this came out superior god Yeah, there was a dude marcos. It was like I remember when an oil change is 25 And it's like yeah, right dude. It's like you I should you remember when a candy was a nickel? It's like things do change It's like there's no I also remember when a haircut was five bucks. It was like no i'm just kidding I'm, i'm not old enough to remember that but I remember when they were like 15 to 19 bucks Yeah, I think like gpu lube was offering $20 oil changes Oh my god at this stage. No, no, not in this. There's no way I remember like back in the 90s Jesus dude. Yeah, we can bring now now like the labor cost like Yeah, I don't I don't even know like I know oil changes for most shops are gonna be like your loss leader You're you're gonna take a hit on most oil changes so I can't imagine An oil change being cheaper than like sixty dollars. Yeah anywhere sixty dollars. I couldn't even picture being cheaper than 80 Using the cheapest oil you can yeah Using the cheapest oil you can get Cheapest filter you can get jeez. I mean if your Example is like if you're paying the guy an hour to do an oil change in an inspection and you're Paying him hourly Like what's like the minimum? I mean, I would say at least 20 bucks. I would say around like 20 I mean, but i'd see in there. They're probably making 30, you know, 25 or you can't buy Or you can't buy a jug of five five quarts of oil for like Less than 30 dollars now And you're using an oem filter that's at least five to eight dollars Yeah, but jiffy lube's not using that oem filter and everything yeah, I think they're using mighty Mighty is the Oil supply company or they used to actually just be a filter company air filters the new oil filters You pay for what you get. Yeah I actually haven't seen too many problems from mighty because they forgot who they used to use before And like almost every car that came in with from jiffy lube had like a leaking oil filter But mighty has been pretty decent for them See how this one is and it's already all put together it isn't yeah Oh, yeah, you're gonna love how this one is. I can't wait to see the back. I'm not even done. I'm almost there I just have to This time I just added a ton of detail. I wanted it These guys can already see it before you do all that. Then i'm gonna shave his neck He has real good hair so it's easy to do this cut on him i'm just saying For the viewers at home or whatever. Yeah, so it's like, okay, cool i'll keep creating energy and and start doing it the right way and if anyone wants to buy a pair of scissors off me, I sell them and And so, you know, I could ship them anywhere Except for a few places like uh, like russia china. The company just does it won't you're not allowed to There's regions you're just it's not for I don't know what the reason is But guys this haircut would not be possible without the mizutani scissors So get that out of your mind right now a full 100 percent detailed service with the the most high-end tools that you can get And he's going to see something of where i've Uh, really had this circuit come together. You know what happened? I noticed that some of these lights went out and then I noticed more out So they came in and replaced all of these already and the next week they're going to do the rest It's like the visual in here.
