The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, attended the inauguration of the Spirit of Invictus
Awards in London, marking a high-profile public appearance during his return visit to the
UK.
Dressed in a black tie and wearing his military service medals, Prince Harry posed for reporters
and greeted attendees outside the venue.
The event honors competitors connected to the Invictus Games, the multi-sport movement
founded by the Prince in 2014 for wounded, injured and sick military personnel and veterans.
At the event, Harry greeted attendees and award recipients ahead of the ceremony.
Harry's return to the UK marks the start of a very active part of his life, with him scheduled
to attend numerous events in the coming months.
After his appearance at the Invictus Spirit Awards, he will be traveling to Birmingham
for another Invictus event, and he is also scheduled to attend the Well Child Awards,
an event that he has been a patron of for decades.
The appearance comes weeks after Harry, his wife Meghan and their two children returned
to live in Britain, more than six years after stepping back from world duties and relocating
to the United States.
Earlier, Harry spoke at an event focused on improving the care of children wounded in
the conflict hosted by Imperial College, London.
