Hi, AD. I'm Lucy Hale and welcome to Elvis and Ethel's house. Should we give them a tour? Yeah, I agree. Come on in. I knew in the entryway I wanted a piece that was like really stopped you in your tracks and I fell in love with this. This is a piece by Austin Heyman and this model right here, her name is Lucy as well. So that's kind of kismet. And then this is my sheep that is unnamed yet, but maybe you guys can help me name her. And it's actually like a little stool. I knew when we redid the house, I was like, I need color. I need color. I never in a million years thought I would be the gal with a pink couch, but it feels right. I feel like the whole house is very moody femme. I worked with the best duo, Marie and Ashley at Pro-M and I actually found them through Art Digest. I was looking at Emma Chamberlain's house and along with every other person fell in love with the house and I just thought it's something intuitively. I was like, I have to work with them. They are very busy. So I had to like get on a little wait list for a bit. I wanted this house to be a true reflection of the woman I am today and the woman I've grown into. And they just picked it up right like that. I'm a huge homebody and I wanted it to be a place that I was excited to come home to. It's definitely my sanctuary. Funny enough, and this was not placed by you guys. I have an AD magazine in here because I have truly, no lie, been manifesting this moment for a long time. So this is a really big deal. I'm very excited you're here. When I bought this house, I was told, rumor has it, that this was Marilyn Monroe's makeup artist house. So I choose to believe that and obviously big Elvis fan in this house. When you grow up in Memphis, you love Elvis Presley and you love Dustin Timberlake. My grandmother was obsessed with Elvis and she says she got kissed by Elvis once, which is also something I just choose to believe. She also was just like such a badass and so cool like that would happen to her. I actually have a tattoo of Elvis's name. Sometimes people are like, wait, what does that say? But it's in cursive. I love my dogs and you wanna see something else? My dog Elvis on a ring. Favorite thing as well. Because at night, it makes me less scared when it's on. We have a visitor. We have Miss Ethel, Madame Ethel. Typically in the morning, I will pull a tarot card for the day. I don't read tarot. I don't know too much, but I'm very into all of this. You gotta knock the energy out. And the question can be, what am I going to get out of this home tour with AD? I also don't know how to shuffle, so please don't zoom in on that. Oh, this one. You see how it's like peeking out? You see that? This is the nine of pentacles, which means lucky you. You know your worth. Can you live in gratitude for what you've accomplished and how the universe is reflecting that back to you? You've earned your place in the world and this is a space to enjoy it. Oh my God. Nines also can imply location and your home or office space is one that will call in more abundance. I mean, this is why I believe in tarot. I don't cook a ton, so typically I'll order in. I open up my food here. Sometimes I'll plate it if I'm feeling fancy. Oh my gosh, this is sweet. My grandmother gave me this. No, this makes me cry. It actually will make me tear up. It says, I wish we lived closer and there's a heart in California and a heart in Tennessee. It's just so sweet. You would've thought that I would've prepared for you guys. Wait, hold on. Oh, it's so embarrassing, but come on in. This is no lie, legit what it looks like most of the time. So I have old takeout. This is so bad, but whatever, we're here. Dog food. My dogs get bone broth and kefir and sardines. Then my snack drawer. Oh, have you guys heard about these? The world's most sour candy. I'm not gonna do it right now because it will make you sick, but I do have those if anyone's looking for them. I need to introduce you to someone really important to me. She's very special. She's the guardian of the house and her name is Doris. Sweet Doris was created by an incredible artist named Agnes Bailon. I don't know why I just trust Doris. I know that she's the all-seeing eye of the house. I named her Doris because that was my great-grandmother's name and I feel really connected to her. Oh, these are the books I'm actually reading right now. Yes, I believe in animal spirit guides. So sometimes if I see an animal in my yard, I'll quickly look at what it means. But here's my junk drawer. Oh, this is actually a taser, because you never know. And some mace. I sit here the most. I love this piece of art. She's naked riding a horse, getting snacks fed to her. Whoever she is, she's got it figured out. Oh my God, Elvis is on the bed. Okay, he's behind the pillow. Hi, buddy. I'm so sorry to disturb you. Can we come in? This is the room I definitely spend the most time in. It feels like a warm hug. There's something about maybe the higher ceilings and just being able to see outside. It just really relaxes my nervous system. You can see the other mascot of the house, other than Doris. We have many lamb chops. I usually sleep with these by my bed, but I have this guy. It's like a citrine troll. But these are, I call them my travel crystals because I take them everywhere. Oh, this chair is furry. I feel important in this chair. It feels like I've got important decisions to make. You want to come join me? No? Here's my cutie little bathroom with a lot of color. Before, this bathroom was all completely white and it just feels so warm in here. All my skincare just piled in there. Oh, this is my favorite, like red light mask. I love it. Oh, it's dead, because I use it. So many shampoos. I absolutely love it out here because it's really private, but it's so hot in LA right now. Yeah, it feels really nice. I think we should all jump in after this. There was a time in my life where I would kind of cold plunge it in the morning, and by a time in my life, I mean, I did it like three days in a row. There are a lot of critters out here, a lot of butterflies, a lot of birds. Can you hear them? It's not a pretty bird, but oh, Elvis is taking a ----. They both did, so my dogs are potty trained. This hallway is very special. It's my gallery wall with family members. This is my sister and I when we were kids, but I'm just dying. How did I know how to pose like that at three years old? It's a little scary, actually. Here is the real Doris, my great-grandmother. I don't know who this is, but I found this photo in Family Photos and I was obsessed with whoever this diva is. We love you, whoever you are. This is my grandmother. Remember I told you my grandma was obsessed with Memphis? This is them in like a fake Memphis jail. This is my sweet dad. This is my mom. Got mostly everyone covered in the hallway. It's very special to me. And now we're going into a very cool room. My media room. This has a special place here. I found this lamp in upstate New York at an antique warehouse. Oh, this is very cool. This is the last Elvis thing, I promise. But my grandmother, who claims to have been kissed by him, this is an actual Elvis Presley autograph. And this is the telegram from the mayor of Memphis the day after Elvis died, when they were holding a silent tribute to him. And my grandmother saved everything because this is the entertainment room. I thought it would be cool to include. Oh, this is cool. So rumor has it that this was a part of Marilyn Monroe's estate. It's not confirmed, but in my head, this belonged to Marilyn Monroe. And more lamb chops, half-eaten lamb chops. I'm not kidding. Like we go through a couple of months. I would say I eat most of my meals here, probably on the floor more so because I'm prone to spilling. The things I watch can't have too many animals in it. I had to stop watching Yellowstone back in the day because Elvis wouldn't let me. Like he was very distraught over the horses and cows. And it's so funny, like certain animals don't trigger him, but all dogs forget about it. So they do kind of dictate what I watch. Oh, this is fun, the table. So this table turns on and off. And I think that's really cool. I just had family in town. My nieces, actually, I haven't told my designers yet, but they spilled their chocolate milk and they didn't tell me. And then I saw it and they were too scared to tell me because they knew we were having this shoot, but it came out. What's furniture for if you don't use it or live in it or spill chocolate milk on it? This is the perfect hour, minute, moment for the stained glass that's coming across this piece. I have very vivid memories when I was growing up of my grandparents' house. They had this front door that had stained glass on it and it's sort of to honor them. Whoa, it's bright, be careful. Holy cow. I wanted a big girl office. I just thought that it was time at 37 that I have an office in my house. I feel like important decisions need to be made on this desk. It's like a very sturdy desk. Although, you know what's funny is because I'm quite short, it hits me. So I feel like a small child sitting here sometimes. These are birthday cards from my, I call them mom and dad, but they're my best friends. They're married, Kurt and Claire. I keep all of my, so this is from, it makes us feel, oh my gosh. This is from Elvis and Ethel. Someone wrote a card from them. I keep it all because it makes me happy. So these are old tech devices that I don't know what to do with. This was a coat I wore on a show called Katie Keene, which was a TV show I did like maybe five years ago. This was from a show I did called Ragdoll. And this is the most recent movie I did called Princess. I need to have everything memorized. It's like a big fear of mine of not being prepared. And can you imagine, I often think of like, maybe knock on wood, Kate Winslet, love her. Can you imagine going to work with Kate Winslet and not being prepared? You gotta be on your game. So I'm working towards that. Oh, this is funny. I just went to this PLL or like a Comic-Con and I got to meet fans of Pretty Little Liars. And this is an Aria doll. Just so sweet of people just like wrote little letters. You know what, this is my important, it literally says important documents. You know those memes of people who are like, why you can't sleep at night because at 3 a.m. you're like, where's my birth certificate? Well, guess what? I know where mine is. This room is my meditation library room. I was a kid that grew up in the 90s and remember McDonald's used to like give all the little toys? That's when my obsession with little things started. This is the perfect room to hold all of those things. And then this is just, you know, where I find my calm. It's quite nice. Probably need to spend more time in here to be honest. Just need a few minutes. That's good enough, okay. Here are Pretty Little Liars books. I don't have all of them, but I have a lot of them. I actually read the books before I booked the show. I was a big fan of them, so it was a pretty big deal. I have my little sound bowl. You hear it? Do you feel better? Okay, me too. This was a birthday gift from my friend Val and it's this woman, Elle King, in 2023. Basically she goes into meditation and she feels into the soul of the person she's painting for.
