3 rescued after fishing boat capsizes in Mosquito Lagoon

Three people were rescued from Mosquito Lagoon after their fishing boat capsized near New Smyrna Beach. The New Smyrna Beach Fire Department, supported by Air One and other agencies, responded to a 9:30 PM emergency call. The victims were found treading water in the dark and were safely recovered within minutes thanks to the coordinated efforts of the marine and air rescue teams.
