Yankees THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE| Is It Enough?

We have to have this conversation and some of you might think it's a tough one.
Some of you may agree or disagree, but I'm going to ask you this.
Should cam Schlittler even be considered for the American league MVP?
You guys let me know what you think about it down in the comments,
but Schlittler is having one of the best seasons in baseball history.
Is that crazy to say?
I understand offense is down, right?
Offense is down and back in the day you had like 30 guys hitting 300.
Now you have like seven or three or six. You don't have many.
You barely have 10 guys who are hitting over 300 but Schlittler,
if you look at his numbers, they're ridiculous.
One nine five era 31 starts 184 and two thirds innings pitched 228 strikeouts.
The swing and miss stuff. Just, he just dominant and Schlittler.
Look at that whip. 0.904.
He's just dominating. Just straight up dominating.
Now who's BR war is 7.1. I mean, that's, that's great.
That's fantastic. But we have to look at his F war.
That's what you have to look at. I got to zoom in here on the screen,
but you look at his F war Peter Armstrong. I mean, he's going to win the MVP.
Shohei Ohtani, Bobby Witt Jr. Who's on the Royals,
the Ms and then cam Schlittler 184 and two thirds innings pitch.
He has a six F war six that's above potential MVP.
Your Don Alvarez and your dots having a wonderful year,
but Schlittler might be having an even better year.
Now I know the other side of the conversation, Aaron judge,
he said it himself. That's why we have the Cy Young award and listen,
I get it, but that's not the award. It's it's MVP. It's most valuable.
It's most valuable. And to be completely honest with you,
I don't think the writers are going to pick cam to win.
I don't think they're going to give the Yankees another MVP.
I don't think that's going to happen,
but I sure think he's damn well deserving of it.
Now one of the,
the last picture to win an MVP was Justin Verlander back in 2011 Verlander
pitched to a two four OER, a 0.9 to zero whip.
Schlittler's whip is better than Verlander's than what Verlander's was back in
2011, 250 strikeouts, 251 in the innings pitched.
Now Schlittler's not going to get near the innings pitch. I don't think now he
won't, it's impossible. Even if he pitches the next, you know,
if he has three more starts, he can't get there.
He'll get over 200, but he won't get, maybe he'll get over 200,
but he might beat him in strikeouts. He's got 228 right now.
He might beat him in strikeouts. I mean,
he very well could if he has three more starts, he'll beat him.
He may beat him in whip. Most likely he'll beat him in ERA,
two four zero ERA Verlander head when he won the MVP.
And I know offense is down.
There's only an X amount of guys hitting 300 nowadays. I get it.
Something that just doesn't happen anymore.
But Schlittler is dominating. And here's another thing.
Max Fried saw a couple IL stints. Rodan,
same thing. Garrett Cole. We started off the year without him.
Schlittler has been holding it down.
He's been putting this New York Yankee starting rotation on his back.
And if he doesn't, he's going to get MVP votes.
I just don't think he's going to win it. Not that because he's not deserving,
but it's just because I don't see the media giving him the
MVP.
I don't see them selecting a New York Yankee once again
to be the MVP. Don't think that's going to happen.
They'd rather go with your Don. I think you could say Bobby Witt. I mean,
he's a top three player once again in baseball amongst F war and your Don's
having a magnificent season. He's sitting over 300, which as I said,
that that's like a lost art. He has a four 21 on base.
38 homers is going to finish the year with over 40 homers well over 40
knowing him having a really great offensive year.
So I'm not sliding him at all. But Schlittler,
I do think in my opinion, he is the, the American league as of right now,
he is the American league MVP. I just don't think he's going to win it.
And I don't like that argument. Oh, he shouldn't win the MVP.
They have an award for that. It's like, judge, I understand your argument.
You're a three time MVP yourself. Like you totally get it.
You don't think a pitcher should win it. I get it.
But most valuable player without Schlittler,
the Yankees, they would not be,
I think this far ahead in the standings.
We wouldn't even be talking about them potentially winning the division,
which they're, they're four games out. I still think there's hope.
Don't think it happens. Cause now the rays, they had their tough part.
They still have Boston, but they had their tough part. They had it.
Now they face the A's and the Yankees face the twins.
Then they get Boston. Then we get Arizona. Then we get Tampa four games out.
I would love the American league East to still be in play for the Yankees.
I just don't, I don't think it is. I've, I would love to be wrong.
I still think there's a chance. It's just Tampa Bay doesn't lose.
That's what scares me about them. They don't lose. But going back to cam,
I think absolutely he should be considered for the American league MVP.
And I think he should win it. I think he should. If I had a vote,
I'd vote for him 100%. I would vote for him.
But unfortunately I don't have a vote. It's not what I got. I don't have one.
May never have one. Don't want to say never. Probably.
I got a bachelor's. Does that do anything? Does that mean anything?
I'm building my own little social media, my own sports media.
Does that mean anything? I don't know. Probably not. But Schlittler dominant,
dominant season. I love it. Now we got the twins tonight.
Hopefully we go in and we beat them up. We sweep them kind of crazy.
They were flirting with the idea of, Hey,
we can maybe be in the post season. Nah, nah,
sorry Minnesota. You should have sold off. Now Jeffers,
you could have gotten something for him.
The Yankees would have loved to have acquired him.
They'll probably revisit that in the off season if they don't think Austin
Wells is the guy. But listen guys,
I want to know what you guys have to say that down in the comments.
Thank you guys. So, so, so much for watching.
I've said it before and I'm going to, I'm going to say it again right now.
It's September.
It happens when the numbers are a little lower than usual.
So for those of you who just stick around, who watch, I mean,
but you guys are basically putting food on my table.
So I just want to thank you guys so much for that.
Thank you guys for being you for supporting the channel.
I love you guys. I'll see you next time. Take care.
