The Dark Reality of Exploitation, Trafficking, and Online Predators - Lynne Barletta

What can you do to help victims of sex trafficking? U-ACT is a great place to start. This critical organization was founded by CEO Lynne Barletta. It aims to stop human trafficking, with a special focus on eliminating child trafficking and exploitation through two pillars: education and restoration. Underneath each pillar are a number of programs for law-enforcement to healing of children and adults who are victims of human trafficking. Lynne was struck by the seriousness of sex trafficking while she was working in Singapore and worked with a young woman who had been trafficked by her parents since she was eight years old. Lynne discusses the real-world consequences victims must live with, as well as the rise of sexting and sextortion that American kids are exposed to today, due to the insidious dangers of the internet.
