The Millennial Kingdom: What will life be like? The resurrected saints will be immortal, says Dr. Nathan Jones. In addition, Christ will reign physically for 1,000 years on Earth, establishing His authority over the entire world. Nathan caps off this critical conversation about what Christians can expect after the Tribulation is over and the 1,000-year reign of Christ begins. Nathan is a digital evangelist and director of internet outreach at Lamb and Lion Ministries. He makes prophecy practical and faith accessible for anyone who wants to learn more about the Bible, End Times prophecy, and the many questions that linger about the final days of Earth and beyond. The Millennial Kingdom, Nathan says, will be unlike anything we have ever seen, and it’s something to be excited about.

here. End Times is where it's at. This is part two with Dr. Nathan Jones, Director of Internet
Outreach Evangelist for Lion and the Lamb Ministries. Nathan, you dropped an atomic
bomb yesterday gracefully, lovingly. Thank you for being on the program for part two here.
Oh, greetings in the name of Jesus, our blessed hope from all of us at Lamb and Lion Ministries.
It's easy to remember our ministry because Jesus first came as a lamb to suffer and die for our
sins, but he's going to return as a conquering lion to set up his kingdom. And Tina, I'm so glad
you want to talk about his kingdom because so few Christians know anything about the millennial
kingdom, so much so that when I wrote the book, The Coming Millennial Kingdom, I asked the publisher
to title it The Forgotten Kingdom because most Christians have forgotten that it even exists.
I could agree more. And as we're set up here for part two today, by the way, everybody out there,
if you haven't seen part one, go watch it first. It set the stage for what we're gonna be talking
about in part two. But I was telling you, I'm like, I don't remember hardly any messages from
the pulpit on a Sunday morning for any service that talks about the millennial kingdom. And
why do you think that is? Why do pastors not address what's going to happen during that
thousand-year reign? Well, it's not just the millennial kingdom. 31% of the Bible is prophetic,
and yet we find increasingly more and more pastors are scared to talk about it.
They're worried that maybe they'll trip over a pet doctrine or an interpretation that their
congregation doesn't agree with, and then they're like, well, I just need to throw the baby out with
the bathwater. But folks, the return of Jesus Christ to set up His kingdom is what it's all
about. Jesus didn't die on the cross just to create a spiritual kingdom. He's gonna fulfill
the Davidic kingdom role by being an actual king here on this earth for a thousand years and into
eternity. It fulfills so many prophecies. Matter of fact, there are 500 general prophecies in the
Old Testament and 1 in 25 verses in the New Testament that talk about the return of Jesus
Christ to set up His kingdom. Jesus, that means for Him, it's one of the most important topics we
could talk about. Yes, and it blows my mind why people don't talk about it more. What percentage
of the prophecies in scripture have already come to pass? Well, that's hard. There's about 31% of
the Bible that's prophecy. Most theologians believe about half of those have been fulfilled
and passed. There's a lot about the coming of return of Christ for the rapture of the church,
the seven-year tribulation. Almost all the book of Revelation is about that. The return of Christ
to set up His kingdom, you can find that in Revelation chapter 20. But I think as our
discussion shows, Revelation 20 might be where we discover that it's going to be 8,000 years. This is
where we get the term millennium. It's Latin, millianum, thousand years. But there are verses
spread through all the Bible, especially in the major prophets that talk about the Messiah
returning to set up a kingdom and sit on the throne of David. Praise the Lord for that.
What got you so interested in this topic? Were you a little kid, always talking about end-time
prophecy and listening to a bunch of tracks back in the day, Billy Graham follower? What got you
enamored and wanting to do the lane that you're now doing in? I was living in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Our pastor was Don Hoke, and at 13 years old, he had a special class just about the book of
Revelation. And I was like, wow, this is fascinating. And so I've just always been
fortunate through the years as I've gone to different churches, different denominations,
I've always landed in a church that appreciates the 31% of the Bible that's God's prophetic word,
that's preached it and taught it and applied it to our lives. And so, yeah, I guess I've just
always had a fascination of it. I never once dreamed that I would end up being in television
and proclaiming the return of Jesus Christ over the airwaves and over the internet,
but that's where the Lord's placed me. So cool. As a 13-year-old, it's just wild
talking about and picking up where we were talking yesterday about the Millennial Kingdom.
What has to happen prophetically before the Davidic Kingdom can be instituted?
Well, as we discussed yesterday, there's prophecies about the return of the Jewish people
back to their homeland again in unbelief so that they can go through a tribulation time period,
and a third, a remnant, will come to know Jesus as Savior. And their darkest hour at the end of
the seven-year tribulation, as Daniel prophesied, Jesus will return. He will defeat evil. He'll
cast Satan into a pit, the Antichrist, false prophet, demons into the lake of fire. He will
judge the world in what's called the sheep-goat judgment of Matthew 25. And the sheep, in other
words, those who are saved during the tribulation will live on and be the citizens of his thousand-year
kingdom. And this, I think, is one of the key verses, Tina, that we read at Christmas time,
is Isaiah 9.6. It says, For unto us a child is born, and to unto us a son is given, and the
government will be on his shoulders. He's going to be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. And of the increase of his government and peace there
will be no end. And upon the throne of David, this is where we get the Davidic throne, and over his
kingdom to justice from that time forward and forever. So this is a prophecy that Jesus Christ
will return, sit on the throne of David in Jerusalem, and rule the entire world physically,
as Revelation 20 tells us, first for a thousand years, but then on into eternity.
It's just wild. I think we're right on the corner. For the Jews returning to their homeland,
do you think most of them have already returned? Do you think we're going to see another big wave?
What are your thoughts on that? There's a little less than 15 million Jews in the world,
and half of them live in Israel. So the other half still remain primarily in the United States and
South America. They're spread out around the world. But as anti-Semitism increases, more and
more Jews make Aliyah back. There is a prophecy in Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39, where Russia will
a giant coalition of what are now Islamic nations to try to destroy Israel. God steps in, and
supernatural power just destroys them. And it says the result of that is, one, the whole world will
know there's a God. So I think this is after the Church has been raptured, because the Lord is
revealing himself through Israel instead of through the Church. But two, all the Jewish people will
return to Israel. So I think we're waiting for that prophecy to be fulfilled before all the Jewish
people will then return to the land of Israel. The terrible event that God will bring to the
earth to prepare the hearts of the citizens of the Davidic kingdom, is that the tribulation period?
Yeah, it's called the Day of the Lord. Haggai 2.22 says,
I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the Gentile kingdoms.
And that's a promise the Lord made that this failed, flawed human government, it will come
to an end one day. You read in Psalm 2 how all the nations of the earth conspire against the Lord,
and it says he just sits on his throne and laughs, because the Lord has made his plans. He's got a
purpose, and his purpose is to put his Son on the throne of the earth. And so the return of Jesus
Christ means that all these Gentile kingdoms will come to an end. Jesus Christ will rule and reign
from Jerusalem, we learn throughout the Bible. We also learn that those who return with him,
the resurrected Christians, the church aid saints, we rule and reign with Christ. So Tina,
you and I, in our glorified bodies, will be ruling and reigning over those who survived
the tribulation, accepted Christ as Savior, and live on into that kingdom. So you have a perfect
king, you have a purified administration, and then you have the citizens who are the people
in their earthly bodies that time. So we're talking pretty much about a perfect government.
Yes, when you share this, it's so wild to me because we're living in this day and age that
sometimes it's hard to wrap our brain around what it's going to be like with what you just explained.
For believers, we know to trust the Word of God. For the non-believers tuning into this program
right now, what would you like to say to them where they're like, this is all foreign to me,
I can't wrap my brain around it. How can we as believers in the Lord witness to the loss to let
them know this is actually what's going to take place? Do you know what I mean? It's like a whole
different realm. It's sometimes hard for me to wrap our brain around it.
Well, the Bible says in Isaiah 11.9,
For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
That's a prophecy of the millennial kingdom. And so for those who've accepted Christ as Savior,
we read in Revelation 2.3, the Lord calls them overcomers. Those who are saved overcome the
world, and they're the ones promised to be citizens of Christ's kingdom. Those who aren't
overcomers, in other words, those who've rejected Christ, as John 3.36 says, God's wrath remains on
them. And so when they die, they are sent to a holding place, the Bible calls it Hades or
torments, where they await to be resurrected after the millennial kingdom, face the great
white throne judgment. And because they're judged on their works, they're missing the one work that
matters, the work of Jesus Christ on the cross, they never accepted it. And so the Bible says
they will be sentenced to the lake of fire, where also death and Hades will be thrown. And therefore
God will be victorious over all his enemies. And Tina, we've come full circle back to the Garden
of Eden, where there's no sin, where mankind walked and talked and had perfect fellowship
with God. That's what God's trying to do here. He's working this plan of redemption to get us
right back to the Garden of Eden state again. We're going to talk more about that after the
short commercial break. Support our sponsors. They allow us to get fantastic guests like Nathan
on the show today to speak truth to millions around the globe. Thank you sponsors for being
along our side. Everybody out there, support them. We'll be back with Nathan right after this.
For over six years, I've been sounding the alarm regarding the dangers of EMF exposure,
primarily coming from the towers that were implemented during the pandemic.
I've interviewed countless experts on the show that confirmed my research.
Besides harmful 5G radiation, we are constantly bombarded with EMF exposure from Wi-Fi routers,
smartphones, laptops, smart appliances, all contributing to massive sleep issues,
headaches, fatigue, nausea, dizziness, brain fog, heart palpitations, and even increased
cancer risk. I've been using two wave guard devices for over six years. I have the key home,
which gives me whole home protection, and the key shield when I'm on the go.
Wave Guard uses depolarization technology to significantly reduce EMF radiation without
blocking your Wi-Fi or cell signal. Protect your family now. Use Code Tina at checkout to save 20%

The culture is coming hard after our kids, so it's imperative we arm them with truth.
That's why I love Acts and Facts, a totally free creation science magazine from the Institute for
Creation Research. It's packed with jaw-dropping science that lines up with scripture. We're
talking dinosaurs, DNA, fossils, astronomy, geology, evidence that points straight to our
creator. It's written by real scientists in a way your kids and you can understand. In addition,
it talks about all the upcoming events happening at the Discovery Center, including their dinosaur
dig each summer in Montana. I've been getting this magazine in my mailbox for years, and we
have thoroughly enjoyed it. Get your free subscription now by going to icr.org forward

Once again, this magazine is free, it's faith-building, and it will establish a biblical
foundation. Nathan, we're back. What is the church promised during the Millennial Kingdom?
The church is promised to be the rulers and reigners over the earth, if reigners is a word.
Daniel 7.18, but the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom
forever and ever. Daniel 7.27, then the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms
under the whole heaven shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. We're talking
about those who died in faith in the Old Testament. We're talking about the church-age saints, those
who died between Pentecost and the rapture, and then those who will be saved during the
tribulation. All will rule and reign with Jesus Christ over this earth during the Millennial
Kingdom, but then on into eternity. Whatever that looks like, the Bible really doesn't tell us. So,
that's a time that we're looking for, where we will rule and reign over this earth.
It's one of the promises, the eternal rewards that God promises His faithful.
Do you get this question about animals a lot? What happens to our favorite pets? I remember
reading Alcorn's book about heaven years ago. What dramatic changes happen to the animal kingdom,
and what do you tell people when they ask you those questions?
Okay, okay. Well, the Millennial Kingdom is unlike anything we've ever seen, because for one,
the capital of the earth isn't Washington, D.C., or New York City, or Brussels. It is Jerusalem,
and Jesus Christ is there physically. You could go up during the Feast of Tabernacles and visit
Him. Like you said, the saints are ruling and reigning over the earth. There's no more
Congress or Supreme Court anymore. We are the governing body. The Jewish believers are a
priestly people that bring those people, the Gentile nations, that will form up to see Jesus.
It's also a time where the Bible says it's a great time of joy, of peace, and prosperity.
It says there'll be no war during that time. Isaiah 2, 4, they shall
beat their swords into plowshares and their spears and their pruning hooks.
Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, and neither will they learn war no more. So,
there won't be need for military or fighting or training anymore, because Hosea 2 says,
bow and sword of battle I will shatter from the earth to make them lie down safely. And that
is where the animal kingdom also is included. You go to Isaiah 11, 6, it says the wolf shall dwell
with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the goat and the calf and the young lion and the
fatling together, and the little child shall lead them. It goes on and kind of explains where you
got predator and prey are no longer at enmity with each other anymore. There's peace in the
animal kingdom. And that's led some people to wonder if maybe during the kingdom, we revert
back to a vegetarian state, because we won't then be hostile toward the animal kingdom anymore,
either.
That's so wild. Will we be able to recognize each other during the millennial reign?
Oh, yeah. I mean, when Jesus was on the transfiguration and the mount,
and he had Elijah and Moses there, Peter recognized them. When Saul saw Samuel,
he recognized him. When Jesus returned, Jesus' glorified resurrected body is the template for
our resurrected bodies. And so, they recognized him. They knew who he was. And so, we will be
recognizable, too. I think we're going to be a lot younger, Tina, probably, you know, back at
our perfection in our 20s. But we'll be eternal. Our bodies will get these glorified bodies that
are, you know, they are sin-free. The sin nature will be gone. They're imperishable. They can't
die. They don't get sick anymore. You know, that's another thing, too, is not only does
the Lord restore the body, but because of the destruction of the tribulation, the Bible says,
Jesus said that actually, if he didn't cut those days short, in other words, end the
tribulation when he did, that there'd be no life left on the planet. So, he has to rejuvenate the
earth. And so, we learn in Isaiah 4, too, that the branch of the Lord, another name for the Messiah,
will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth is going to be excellent and appealing,
and says that those who have, the plowman's going to overtake the reaper. In other words,
when Jesus returns, he's going to solve homelessness, famine, hunger, and even disease.
Do you know that during the kingdom, it says in Isaiah 65 that,
No more shall an infant live but a few days, nor an old man fulfill his days.
For the child shall die at one hundred years old, for as the days of the tree,
so shall be the days of my people. So, the lifespans of those in their earthly bodies
will go back to what it was like before the flood, which was in the 900s. So,
almost the entire length of the millennial kingdom, lifespans will increase again.
Isaiah 33, 24 says the inhabitants will not say they are sick. So, the Lord's going to cure all
the sicknesses and diseases. And Isaiah 35, 5 says that he's going to open the eyes of the blind,
the ears of the deaf will be unstopped, the lame shall leap like deer, and the tongue of the dumb
sing. And that's a very important verse for me, Tina, because I have a special needs son,
he's autistic, he doesn't speak. And I long for that day when the tongue of the dumb will
speak again, and I'll actually have a conversation with my son.
Tina Oh my gosh, how old is he today?
Unreal. You know, once again, it makes it really tough in this series to not say,
Lord, come now, just so we can be at that place. And yet so much of me is like, I want to make
sure that as many people as possible can come with us. He's so close, I can almost taste it,
it's so wild. How long will the citizens in their earthly bodies live during that time?
Is that referring to, we will be able to live to 900, 1000 years old, like back in the day,
during the millennial reign? We won't die during the millennial reign, right?
No, no, because we, the resurrected saints will be in our eternal glorified bodies,
so we won't have an end anymore. We go on forever and ever. Those in their earthly bodies,
they survived the tribulation, they accepted Christ, and they go into the kingdom as the
citizens. And what's interesting is that they get, they're the ones who get the long lifespans,
they and their children. And so, what's interesting though, and this is one of the
great fallacies of the millennial kingdom is at the very end, it says that Satan,
you know, who's been bound in the pit will be released. And so, we learn in Revelation 20 that
immediately he's going to go out and deceive the nations. He goes right back to his job.
And many of those children living in their earthly bodies still have that
sin nature, that still desire to rebel. And one of the greatest tragedies,
tragic stories in the whole Bible is that story where when Satan's released, it says the people
like the sands of the sea follow him in one last attempt to overthrow Jesus. But since there's no
war, he just sends down fire and incinerates them, and that's how the millennial kingdom ends.
And so, what we learn here is even though we have the perfect king and a purified administration,
as long as the citizens are still in sinful earthly bodies, the desire to rebel against
God remains. And so, that's proof that God has to eradicate all sin and all sin natures
in order to go into the eternal state, but then you have the perfect king, the purified
administration, and the perfected citizens. And so, that creates the perfect government
in the eternal state.
Can you look me in the eye and tell me that in my most vulnerable state,
I was nothing more than a parasite? A collection of body parts.
