State Comptroller’s Office encourages New Yorkers to check for unclaimed funds

The New York State Comptroller's office is urging residents to search for unclaimed funds. Significant amounts of money remain unclaimed across the state, particularly in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Westchester. These funds often originate from forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, utility deposits, trust funds, or unused gift cards.
