Inside India's FAMOUS Tiger Reserve | Ranthambore National Park 🇮🇳

India is home to over 70% of the world's wild tigers, but seeing one is never guaranteed. If you're planning a tiger safari in India, Ranthambore National Park is one of the first names you'll hear. If Ranthambore is on your bucket list, this is everything you need to know before you go. It's 5 30 a.m. We're gonna go have coffee and some tea before starting our first tiger safari. Super stoked. Wish us luck. Are you ready? Are you excited? I'm very excited. There is a lot of energy in this lobby for 5 45 a.m. That's true. All right, look at this. Off we go. Wow, light's so beautiful this morning. Good morning. Our Ranthambore safari began with the hotel pickup followed by a short drive to the park gate. The national park has 10 different safari zones. We entered zone 3. Zone 3 is known for its large lakes, ancient ruins, and frequent tiger sightings. Safari zones in Ranthambore are pre-assigned, meaning you don't get to choose your zone in advance, so we felt super lucky to get this zone. Driving through the gates of Ranthambore honestly felt like entering Jurassic Park. Massive banyan trees tower overhead. It feels ancient. At the main gate, every safari stops while IDs are checked and there's time to use the restroom as everyone waits for the entry gates to officially open. The entry gates open at 6 30 a.m. though the exact time changes depending on the month and the season. This entrance was especially unique because you get your first glimpse of Ranthambore Fort with its ruins sitting high above the forest watching over the park. Such a cool start. We just saw an eagle like 10 feet from us. So beautiful. I can't believe how unique this landscape is. Not only do they have tigers but ruins everywhere too. Wonderful sighting. Wow. It was just laying in the water and drank some water got up walked away. Such a beautiful animal. Personally, I think the most beautiful animal on earth. So lucky our first day. Already saw one. Right away. Oh spectacular. I got goosebumps. Wow. This is a team tiger. And that's our tiger here. What a coincidence. The same water hole. It's the second tiger of the morning here. An hour before we saw his father right here. What a lucky day. Wow. We're so lucky seeing a father and son at the same watering hole today. Absolutely majestic creatures. We're following now through the jungle. Just driving beside it. Just like cruising so smoothly through the jungle. I'm speechless. Unbelievable. So lucky. Okay we're staying here at the Ranthambore Kothi. This place is so nice you guys. So they have three different levels of rooms. We are in their top tier, the premium room. It is so spacious and luxurious. Everything is high quality. They left us a couple welcome gifts. We have, this is so sweet, our little welcome chocolate tray. And they left us a fruit plate. And if you go out here into the balcony, the balcony is absolutely massive. And coming into our bathroom, his and her sinks, toilet, shower. And if you don't want an indoor shower. What I really love about this hotel is all the rooms are gorgeous. Beautiful pool area. But it's just set in the midst of all the greenery and it makes it very peaceful and quiet compared to the life that we've been experiencing. So very excited to stay here for three nights. And we're excited to be here seeing tigers. Last night we arrived here to Ranthambore National Park. It is one of the most famous national parks here in India. And it is very easily reachable from Agra, Jaipur, Delhi. Seeing tigers in the wild has always been a bucket list experience for Tommy and I. And to actually be here in India and experiencing it all, it's really, it's pretty incredible. So this whole trip has been super easy and well organized, but we can't take credit for that. The travel agency, India Someday, actually planned this entire trip for us. India can seem very overwhelming. There are so many options and different places you can travel. So many different itineraries to choose from. But we had a call with the owner and the staff there. They customized the trip based off our interests, which were big cities, some of the main sites, eat some delicious food, of course, and a lot of nature and wildlife, which is why we're here. On our safari, one of the things I really loved the most was the fact that this whole jungle area has so much history just completely like intertwined in it. Like with the forts just like popping up out of the jungle, the banyan trees are like ingrained and growing through them. And they're like that rusty red color with the greenery around and the water. There was something so magical about it. And it really was like just straight out of the jungle book. We did have another Indian couple in our safari jeep with us who love to travel around India and go to different parks. And they said that of all the parks that they've been to, this one was their favorite because of the history, the monuments, the temples, and within the jungle space. And the fact that, I mean, we had really good tiger sightings like right away. They were like, wow, this is incredible. So we got super lucky again. We have a tigress about 30 meters away by this stream. It's so beautiful. This is so much different from our last one because it was so loud and chaotic. And this is just so tranquil and nice. It's so funny watching her. She's just playing her tail. She's going up and down. So lucky to see another tiger. Wasn't as exciting as the first one because it was just farther distance away and she was sleeping most of the time, but still great. I felt like it was nice because we got like the excitement, loud chaoticness in the morning. And then in the afternoon, we got like the peaceful nature, just like vibes. And I thought both were really great. Yeah. For a while until 30 other vehicles showed up. Something I find very interesting, how tiger safaris are different than, you know, like a safari you might go on in like South Africa or something. Tigers are solitary creatures. So there's all these different zones, like zone one, zone two, like we were in zone four tonight. And there's just like one mom and her two cubs. And so like you're in this huge area looking for this one tiger, pretty much like or two or three tigers. Yeah. Cause they're territorial. So they only roam a certain area. So that's so interesting. They have a huge menu here of wines, different drinks you can get. We both got our favorite gin and tonic with Tangeray, which is perfect. Cheers. Ending the night with a gin and tonic. To tigers and an awesome two safaris. Yeah. It's like, we used to be like, let's go to And we did it. We did it. That is so good. What was that? I'm just kidding. It's so good though. It's early and we're super late. Morning, morning. All right. Last safari here. Are you ready? Last safari. I'm ready. Just to listen. We always listen for the deer morning calls. So we're flipping Huey and we're heading straight to the noise. This spot's pretty cool. We're in zone six today and it has the biggest tiger. So another group saw a tiger walking this way from across the way. So we're just waiting for it. Hopefully you see a glimpse of it walking through this forest. Nice. So many great videos, just walking right alongside the vehicle. Our driver's making sure we got to all the spots. The perfect end to the last safari. Yes. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Awesome. Awesome. That was so incredible. It's so funny. I'm usually pretty confident about these things, you know, I think positive, positive, positive things will happen, but I kind of gave up hope there. We were sitting here for the three hours. The tiger was stuck between the pass and we weren't going to see anything, but our driver and our guide kept up the hope. And then we had our best sighting yet. Unbelievable experience. Still have goosebumps from it. The tiger was right next to us the whole way. It doesn't get any better. We are so lucky. Such a great experience. Amazing. Went out with the bang, baby. Oh my gosh. So for the rest of the day, we get to relax here at this beautiful property, hang out by the pool, have some drinks. You might get a facial, right? And I might get a facial. Wow. What a great day. We are starving. That was like a four hour safari. So worth it though. Again, for breakfast, we have pancakes, hash brown. We have some like oat porridge, the fruit platter I always go crazy on, which is pineapple, watermelon, and papaya. And we have a masala omelette coming, which I really love the omelettes here. They are delicious. Pool time. We're in the pool. Painful transition. Tommy's back is like bright red like a tomato. I feel bad. That was my idea. The transition from the bed to the pool. Perfect way to end our experience here. This hotel was so amazing. The staff were so wonderful as well. But seeing all those tigers. Oh my gosh. Couldn't ask for any better experiences than that. The time slots do book like three months in advance when they open. So book as soon as possible. Make sure you get a spot in the smaller jeeps recommended because as you guys saw with our flight just today, you get a great driver. He'll just weave you through everybody. Yeah. And the zones that you want to. So we did zone three, four, and six. And zone three was just the atmosphere of it was amazing. The zone six was where we saw the best sighting. You never know.
