Today marks the peak day of hurricane season, and while the Atlantic season
has been extremely quiet, things in the Pacific have been anything but 15
named storms so far in the Pacific Ocean. But a question. Could hurricanes
ever impact us here in Michigan? The weather boys go to extreme measures to
find out.
Dude, we gotta go, man. Hurricane is coming. Yeah, we live in Michigan. I'm
pretty sure we're gonna be fine. Pretty sure I saw the news. Look above. You
don't be dumb. You're talking about that hurricane? Yes, that hurricane.
Yeah, that hurricane is in the middle of the ocean. And last I checked, we are
nowhere near an ocean. Last I checked, we get remnants, don't we now, sir? Yes,
we get remnants. So what? We get like a little bit of rain. Oh, a little bit of
rain. How about a little bit of wind to you think? Maybe just a touch. Okay,
yeah, that's fair. We had a little bit of rain. We get a little bit of wind,
but I'm pretty sure the people of Michigan are gonna be able to handle
too late. She's here. What are you talking about? I'm here and I brought
the wind, the water and zero chill. Told you. Okay. But what are you
exactly? I'm a tropical cyclone, sweetie. A form over warm ocean water
when the air is just right. Calm up top, humid and unstable down below. The
rising air spins, the pressure drops and boom, I become the main event.
Whatever. You're just a big, angry circle. Basically, well organized. Thank
you. Category 1 to 5. It's been counterclockwise. I make landfall and I
caused drama. And when you hit land, you weaken. Excuse me. Yeah, no warm
ocean equals no more energy. You break down, but your leftovers, the rain, the
wind, they can still cause flooding hundreds of miles away. Remnants. I
told you those were real. I hunt the Midwest like a bad haircut. You'll hear
from me on a tooth. So tropical storm forms over water. They become
hurricanes when they get strong, but then they fall apart over land and we
get leftovers remnants. Respect the drink. Man, lucky to have survived. You
were standing in front of a fan. Oh, whatever, man. It still counts time.
Remnants from a hurricane affected us here in Michigan was back in 2024. It
was Hurricane Beryl, I think. But yeah, it does. It does happen for us. I mean,
we get a lot of rain from them. They really break apart before they make it
to us. But, uh, you know, they can impact us. And it's happened before.
Nice job on the voiceover work, by the way, from our buddy. Did you? Could you
tell who it was? Mario Lou? It was good. Yeah. So yeah, it was fun. What do we
name the hurricane? Is it Hurricane Mario? Hurricane Lou? I think it's
Hurricane Mario. Hurricane Mario. It is. Okay.
