Rare 10 Ft Giant Sunfish Suddenly Accelerates & Breaches Surface

This is one of the largest and most unusual bony fish on Earth. Behold Mola alexandrini, known as the bumphead sunfish. 🐠

This unique giant fish is rarely caught on camera, especially when swimming at this high speed and breaching.

The incredible footage was filmed by Wenyi Zhou while diving at Nusa Penida, an island near Bali. Wenyi is a behavioral ecologist at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.
