Goff, Lions gear up for Saints in season-opener

All right to the Lions who were on the field for a workout on Tuesday as their season opener against the Saints approaches. You can see Sunday's 1 p.m. kickoff right here on Fox 2. For Detroit, this marks a chance to start fresh and make amends after missing the playoffs last season and finishing nine and eight and in last place in the north. The man leading the charge says the team may have a little bit of a chip on its shoulder to get it turned around this year. Whatever we were was so long ago I think we want to prove who we are now. I think also last year was last year there's a lot of guys on this team that weren't here last year so what do they have you know it doesn't mean anything to them but for the guys that were yeah certainly there's some pride involved and and not wanting to do anything close to that you know I think the last place in your division still stings and so finding a way to not allow that to happen. We're pretty internally motivated and want to win a championship and want to be the last team standing and I think last year is a bad taste but we got how many chances in front of us now to go make it right. They got 17 chances. Hey that game we're gonna have it on Fox 2. We're gonna have the pregame show starting at 10 a.m. from Ford Field. That's a look at your morning sports. I'm Jennifer Hammett. Have a great day.
