Well, new details tonight after a Tucson man is duct taped on an airplane.
67 year old Lane Arthur Lundeen is making national headlines for these
images taped from head to toe by the crew and passengers. This happened on
an American Airlines flight last week from Dallas to Newark, diverted to
Baltimore. Lundeen is accused of making racist and misogynist comments two
hours after takeoff. Several passengers jumped in to restrain him when he got
physical. They used zip ties at first, but then brought out the duct tape to
keep him from biting and choking. Anyone was using, um, racist and
homophobic slurs. He actually ended up striking the passenger that was next to
him. He put his hand on on the pastor's throat that was next to him. The woman
that was in the third row stood up and tried to help that gentleman by by by
getting by hitting the this guy's arm to try to get him to stop, um, strangling
the other passenger at this point. And and then he started hitting her. Once
the zip ties were on, he still continued to resist and to fight. And we only in
which led us to take go to the next level. He was also biting us. Um, he was
he had actually bitten one. Um, and he was attempting to bite me as well. You
know, we didn't. You know, we don't want to harm the gentleman, of course. So
one then proceeded to, um, duct tape the gentleman starting at his chest
level. Lundeen was arrested for disorderly conduct and quickly fired by
long reality.
