Meet Charlie: Pet of the Weekend

We're here today at Wilco and we've got Leo that's going to tell us all about Charlie looking right into the camera. He is ready for his debut. Tell us about this guy. This is Charlie. What a sweet guy. Charlie is a playful, very fun cat. He's still fairly young and he has a lot of life left to live. Charlie did come to us paralyzed which is a tough break for anyone but you wouldn't know it looking at him. He still loves to play. He still gets around so well. He's very mobile and yeah he loves his wand toys and you toss the little cat toys in there and he he's a ball of fun still. Oh yeah he's really cute and he still gets around and if somebody wants to adopt Charlie what kind of family do you think that he could fit into best? Yeah obviously you will want a home where you are comfortable doing his expressions and taking the extra care the little bit extra care that Charlie would need but honestly the staff can walk you through all of that stuff. It is not as hard as it might seem or daunting and you kind of get used to it. You work it into your routine. He's very affectionate. He's been very cool with everyone that's come in and visited him so I do believe a family would be great for this guy. Yeah and he'd be appreciative. I mean all the best things in life take a little bit more work and then he'll give you a little bit more love in return. He's just so sweet and if somebody wants to come just walk into the shelter ask about Charlie. How's that work? Absolutely you come right in and see us. We're open 12 to 6 every single day and Charlie will be in here hanging out waiting for you. Oh he's so sweet. Oh look at him getting all that love. Absolutely love being here helping animals get homes and I hope you get one real soon Charlie and while I still have you Leo do you guys have any events that are upcoming? We do. Our Fur Ball 2026 is coming up in November. November 7th. It is our largest fundraiser of the year. We are very excited and happy to present this to all the folks here in Central Texas.
