F1 is taking over Austin, Texas,
and joining me this morning is Catherine.
Thank you so much for joining me.
Please tell me, what is going on at this hub?
Thank you so much for having me and for joining us.
Right now, we're here at the Williams F1 Team Fan Zone,
where you can come in and get a taste of what F1 is really like.
We're at 800 Congress Avenue in downtown Austin.
It's completely free, and you can do a ton of hands-on activities
from seeing an actual car, hopping in a racing simulator,
seeing if you have the reaction of an F1 driver,
and even some STEM challenges.
Oh, okay, so it's very educational.
Yes, yes.
But also cool.
Okay, this is the last day that it's going to be here,
so if you want to come check it out, you need to do it today.
But also, you guys have more things going on.
Tell me about those.
Yes, I'm incredibly excited to announce that we're launching
the first ever Williams F1 Team Racing Camp right here in Austin,
Texas this summer, summer
2027.
And it will welcome kids age 9 to 11 into the roles of F1 drivers,
into the roles of
an F1 strategist or an engineer,
and give them this hands-on immersive experience beyond
what they see on TV.
That is so cool, because how often
do you get to kind of tap into an F1 mind?
But how can kids check this out?
What's the process?
Yeah.
Well, first of all, you can get a taste of all the activities here
at the Fan Zone if you want to see what it's like.
But we're live right now on the wait list at racingcamp.com.
So we encourage parents and families to sign up,
join that wait list, and they'll get first access to registration
when it opens later this fall.
Okay, so sign up for the wait list and get in line
because I have a feeling it's going to be packed.
We hope so.
I want to see all of Austin out there.
And then anything else people should know about
the team or just F1 in general?
Yeah, I guess what I'd want them to know about racing camp
is that this is not our first rodeo.
We've run a STEM program back at our headquarters in England
where we've welcomed over 30,000 students through the program.
And so we're really excited to bring that hands-on learning here
to Austin to let U.S. families experience it.
That's amazing. And do you have
a favorite part about being here in Austin during F1?
Oh my God, just the energy and the barbecue. I'm not going to lie.
It's good. It's delicious, but it's amazing.
I've had it every day and tacos.
every day and tacos okay you're doing it truly right uh

website so people can sign up yes you can join
