Postino teams up with Grillo’s Pickles

Welcome back. Postino is here for Good Day Cooks to talk about their first ever culinary collaboration, the Hot Pickle Dip. Faith is joining us this morning. So first of all, let's talk about this collaboration with Grillo's Pickles. Yes, thank you so much for having me. We're super excited to be here. Yeah, we are super excited to unveil our first ever culinary collaboration that we're doing with Grillo's Pickles, our Hot Pickle Dip. So we make the dip using Philly cream cheese, tangy labneh yogurt, garlic, lots of good spices. And then of course, Grillo's signature spicy pickles, as well as the brine. Yum. So you're going to kind of all yeah, we can make some up here for us right now. It is loaded with the pickle brine and the spicy pickles. So you get like a nice crunchy, tangy dip. And we pair the dip with a nice crudite platter as well as our house chips. So we've got some baby carrots, cucumbers, watermelon, radishes, a nice selection for us. And what was the inspiration behind getting this collab going? Well, it's like I said, it's our first ever culinary collaboration. So it's something that's really new and exciting for us. And we just wanted to bring, you know, pickles are super hot and trendy right now. I've loved pickles my entire life. Yeah. So we wanted to bring that to our Postino guests and our Postino team. It kind of reminds me of like Greek dressing a little bit. Yeah, yeah. It's loaded with fresh dill. So very, very close to where I can smell as you scoop it out. I can smell it. I love it. Yes. So we garnish it with even more of those hot pickles. Okay, can't have enough. No, you can never have enough of these pickles. They're so good. And then we have, what is this, olive oil? Yep. A little bit of extra virgin olive oil there. And even more fresh dill. Yeah, dill's one of those things. It's like it smells weird at first. Once you have it, you're like, oh, it works. And it's got to be fresh. It's got to be fresh. And then, of course, a little bit of cracked black pepper on top. Nice. All right. That looks amazing. For a dip, it almost looks like a little like parfait or something. This could totally be a whole meal. Yeah, really? Really? Okay. So we're serving this limited time only. We're serving this now until October 28th. Mm-hmm. Okay. So if you want to try, I'm going to go ahead and try some myself. And our South Lamar location is doing a little sampling event on October 3rd from 12 to 2. So we'll have some freebies there as well. All right. This is really good. Yeah? Because like, I taste the potato chip and I'm like, oh, it's like chips. I'm like, oh. And then all the taste from the sauce hits. Oh, it's great. So you get lots of crunchy, lots of tangy, zesty, and then a little bit of heat on the end there with those spicy pickles. Yeah. I really like that. Wow. All right. I'm a fan. And talk about, yeah, some of the other stuff you have out here on the table. Yes, of course. So we have our herb fries here, one of our mixed grain solids, and then our signature bruschetta board. We have lots of different bruschettas that you can choose from. But, you know, Postino is a wine cafe. It's a restaurant. It's a place where you can check your email and get some work done, celebrate life's most special moments and everything in between. Yeah. So whatever you're going for, whether it's a first date, bachelorette party, girls night. Yeah. We can curate a vibe. There's something for everyone. Yeah. I myself went to Postino for the first time a couple of weeks ago after you guys were on a few weeks before that. And I was like, it's so good. The bruschetta is so good. I'm such a fan. And you guys are expanding, right? We are. We have our location on South Lamar. We have our location in Breaker Woods. And then we're opening up a location in Westlake very soon here.
