Good afternoon and welcome back into the Disc Golf Network.
You're watching round two of the LWS Open at Idlewild.
Presented by Dynamic Discs and The Natty.
Tricky forehand.
Not for this guy.
He's looking for a tough look at birdie.
Low ceiling.
Forcing him to a knee.
He's got it.
Ideal spot challenging the ceiling. Oh, it's perfection.
350 gets you on the dancefloor for sure with an opportunity
to get in there.
And then it's probably another 350 from wherever from where that shot lands another flex forehand or something to try to get over those grasses
getting close.
Solvin has the liberty of going flat to hyzer.
Mowry approaching
over the bunker into C1.
Couple steps outside the bullseye. I doubt it surprises him terribly much. It's frustrating.
But he should have a pretty makeable putt.
22 feet remaining.
Open hips. Gonna play the ante.
Pin high. 25 left.
Want to throw
pretty solid power. Nice and flat. Let it swing a little bit tough footing, but
close enough I would expect him to take care of business.
Yes, a little bit lower a little bit more inside a little bit better.
Bullseye's edge. Villman right into the zone.
Mason wants a little more.
That will putt.
Probably in the neighborhood of 60 or 70 feet left for his eagle.
Hebenheimer birdie on 18.
That takes him to 12 under on the day. One double bogey, but he canceled it out with an eagle on the 16th.
He's fired up.
That is 8 under for Hebenheimer.
10.5 rated out of Jefferson City, Missouri.
A tough ask for Ford. Has to flip it up. Oh, and he does it. Such control.
Will this stay in the air long enough?
Oh, yeah. Back to back days on the high side. A little closer today.
Ideal position
inside 220.
I had called it a one speed. This is actually a two speed from MVP. The range
goes 7-3-11.
Scan that QR code to support the partners over at Flight Factory.
Again, and put the fresh disc in this
in the bag for just this shot this week and that is into position.
More than likely a jump putt to the green from there.
You go shooting up that
career earnings board if you were a number one type player in the world in the last five years or so.
Since the game has really exploded.
Playing for five digits every single weekend out here on the Pro Tour.
So guys like Calvin and Burr are really
making hay while the sun is shining.
Calvin has cashed for over a hundred thousand in his last three seasons.
Forward from out of position, but he finds the line. He's gonna scoot into the circle. What a shot.
Flipping that nuke up to flat getting back on edge.
Calvin 600 through 12 with the bogey. Four in a row for Uli.
This is career start number 651 for Uli. That's an incredible number.
There's only so many weekends in a in a life.
And Uli has given so many to this game and to his fans and man just
probably nearly double what I've done.
Which is pretty amazing considering he's younger than I am. And this to become the solo leader.
Five under through six and still two off his pace from yesterday.
Gannon Burr, he's third all-time in career earnings. He's first here at Idlewild.
I've yet to see anybody get up and down to the par save.
He's got it. That's cruising into the circle. Oh, yes.
Gannon Burr from the op zone.
Uli was out of bounds. Up and down as possible. He's gonna try and flip this up. He's found the gap.
Will it get back on hyzer?
What a shot. What a shot. Big time.
Great spot approaching the Totoro. 20 feet left for Birdie.
It's a nearly identical spot to where Burr
was yesterday.
He does much better. Keeps it lower. Great angle on it.
20 to 25 feet beyond the basket.
Similar to the disc he approached with on the previous hole.
All he needs is the standstill.
Like it a lot. Does it get any skip?
Kick will work as well. Really nice. Rare spot to approach from. Gap looking pretty thin.
Inside.
Sneaks through are all it needed to do.
Sits down at circles edge, maybe a little closer. Well done.
Calvin even better off than Gannon was yesterday. The gaps are still tight and he's found it.
What a birdie.
Nine under.
Isaac Robinson put it to C1 from a similar spot yesterday.
Mason gonna go extra flippy.
Look at it peel over. Wow.
Wow, beautiful shot.
So delicate.
With the body English into the bullseye, how about those pars from Uli on 13 and now 15?
He's battling today.
Inside or wide?
Inside with some speed.
Fantastic shot.
Flair skip.
There it is. Oh, and
he's got a remote control on it. It did indeed avoid that one tree, Gannon.
ET of 14.
Holding the follow-through.
Flipping it up past the collection zone. Come on. Wow. A hundred feet remaining.
Don't make birdies much easier than that.
What a drive.
Mallory has a great lead on lead card for this final round.
Gets him up into solo second. Two back of burr.
Uli will stripe it.
It'll be high left side, but birdie certainly in play. This is Chris's 10th start at Idlewild.
Oh, he gets it on the strong side.
He has cached every single Idlewild, Nate.
And he has taken second twice, third once, fifth once, eighth place, worst finish 30th and 23.
Burr now 8 through 12.
Mallory a little too much power on the drive. Finds the back edge.
That is well done. Also into the circle.
Another low ceiling putt attempt on the 18th for Heimburg. Look at this drive.
Get to your edge. One skip. He's got it. Lovely. That'll be Uli for a 10 under par.
Just give us the towering any. Just match the hill 300 feet away.
No, he'll go low bullet with some flip up.
That's going places. This might even need to sit down.
It finds the creek. That is so brutal.
He'll still have the birdie putt
with the release from Mason.
Trying to ride the bridge. Is that safe? That is.
What a plinko. Yes.
Let's check this out again. It looked like it did catch a piece of the bridge. Oh, no.
Oh, it didn't. It just hit the two trees that frame it up.
Awesome. Flippy putter for Chris.
Flipping to the bullseye.
Not a lot of distance left here.
Little bit of a bounce off the tree, but he should be able to connect.
That was a moment ago now live on the day.
Perfect in the circle.
Extend the lead about how long Idlewild has been on the Disc Golf Pro Tour.
It has been one team, Adam Jones and Jason Curl
and the club associated with the natty.
That is incredible.
All the volunteer labor,
all the years of love poured into the course
continues to be a staple.
Dickerson tracking the green.
What a shot.
Perfection. Dead row.
I mean, it didn't even have to slide an inch.
There'll be seven in a row for Chris.
I mean, how sick if he would have gone eighth row.
It's incredible.
I was I was feeling so disappointed for Chris
the way he came out on this lead card.
And you just start to feel like, well, I guess it's not as weak.
Better late than never, Mr.
Dickerson. This is tracking.
This is going to get right under the ceiling.
This is parked to be one under on his first ten holes
and then black out the rest of them.
What a push.
How close did it get?
It looked to me like it was going to be based and it is.
What a close eight in a row from Dickerson.
He'll have that to go to 20 under and he will have solo second place.
He lost five strokes to get in on the front nine.
He's three back.
I don't think that strategy will play tomorrow.
It certainly won't.
If first place is the place he's interested in.
But man, I mean, you got to take some confidence from the way he closed.
Those are going to be the most important holes
if he can get it done on the front, which I expect he'll be able to.
I think it's the more scoreable section.
I I'm sort of shocked that he's had the OB both days on hole one.
Sounds like he's ready to back off a little bit there.
And I expect him to step up and make an easy birdie to get us started.
I'm Calvin Heimberg.
