Well it's taken us to 18 states and six countries
and finally at the end of a long season the 2026
Disc Golf Pro Tour year has come to an end.
It's the finale of the Powerball Cup here in Lynchburg,
Virginia at Ivy Hill. $50,000 for first place on the line,
the richest purse in the history
of disc golf and that woman right there,
Sylvie Sarnen, third in Powerball Cup standings has
broken her seed she is up by seven going
into championship sunday can she hang on
and get everybody getting paid at this event
Solonin yeah that's how you play hole one relying
on her skill set taking that second shot over
the OB just like Holland has to very important to get
your angle right you have to get it back
in otherwise it's stroke and distance well done
by both players and Holland a chance
and this is Sarnen for par OB directly behind the pin
from C2 about 40 feet yes what that is a huge
statement right there only giving up that one
stroke a perfect putt to start the day
in the cold conditions bounce back was going to go out of
bounds hits the stake and stays inbounds
so she'll have a birdie look Silva's going to put
herself well inside circle one
and now hole four Solonin really tricky
par three uh i swear it's
Tricky, that is an incredible shot to clear the hay bales
and stay inside the bullseye.
Salonen, another two-shot swing hole if you're not careful.
This is the play. Players are trying to push it
as far to that tree line as possible.
There's a little sneaky alley.
Got it.
Oh yeah, another barbersaw.
Blomroos,
that's the henna shot right there.
T of six, downhill par three.
Salonen trying to get this to land soft.
Big downhill shot. That's a great way to solve it.
hanging it out making sure you have
the right over stability stability excellent great placement
of the ledge stone walls i really want you
to just go straight at the pin and land it soft but
players more than willing to roll the dice
and throw something stable but look at this kind of
in between oh that's so nice yeah
and that really is the play right in between there i'm a big fan
of of players throwing that kind of stubborn stability
not a lot of fade but not a lot of
flip in the high speed if you hit
your angle right kind of nestle right as you threw it
and she chose something with less speed to it
and it's just like beautiful shot by evelina
right there gosh this hole is just gorgeous yeah just like we've seen
the previous couple of rounds
a very gentle right to left as i'm watching owns come
in just shy of the basket it's going to get
a little bit of a roll
but it's going to stop own looking
for a birdie three down in the day
Salonen taking a look again. $25,000 for second, $14,500 for third.
Salonen currently in that second place spot and look at this,
a nice smash down the fairway.
Everland just opening up, throwing freely right there.
It's feeling pretty safe with the players on her backside.
She's got five strokes over Katrina right now.
Adding to that number
this week. Now Handley,
Scoggins for a birdie.
Inside,
almost a defensive cut there.
He's chasing down Hanley, who's just outside the bullseye.
Needed to make that to keep pace.
Why
not?
Another birdie for Salonen.
Salonen just looking like she's on parade right now.
Former javelin thrower is ranked
at 1.5th in her providence in Canada.
That's the way to end that hole.
Wow, yes.
Sure.
We'll take that all day.
We talk about it all the time on that hole,
how it's got a free run on it with the backdrop smash it
in and that's going to be your one shot
energy replay closest look for birdie
of the day she's got it he's starting
to heat up a bit that's
her third birdie in a row speaking of which on 11
and there you go there's the bullseye start to
really fall back and own an opportunity
to sneak up how about another bullseye it's Zabelina that
might be her middle name. We should ask her.
Zabelina Bullseye Salonen. Great power. The one
angle. Lasers out of her hands. So clean.
So strong. Finally up to Silva's shot. Such nice
glide down the hill. Great look.
She's just chipping away at the course. Another opportunity
from Circle's Edge to get to five down on the day.
Victory lap already. She is still going.
Decent line. That's going to be the best of the bunch.
Good shot by Holland right there. Way to
dig deep after the seven welcome back missy gannon
for birdie on 13. you bet and the roller coaster
continues and missy's season slowly
winding down in perfect speed on that one
who believes that
being outside is good for us
in every possible way you can visit llbean.com today and be an
outsider katrina allen up the hill to the island on 14
and that is a bullseye nicely done let's see
Up the hill, does it have enough? It does.
letting a Thunderbird rip down the hill
I was going to say,
rip is an understatement.
Smashed.
Katrina and Missy still battling for their position.
Thousands of dollars on the line for them.
Ella Hansen and Hannah also in that mix.
Job
well
done.
We talked about how Owen is very celebratory.
Silva very constrained in herself.
And they're all okay.
That's how you succeed is knowing what
is going to do it for you on the course.
you have to play within yourself.
Scoggins for a birdie, in.
Great grab right there.
Going out of her comfort zone, pays off.
Missy, second shot on 16,
this is a nice little line.
That's beautiful.
Really was, great wind fight right there,
saw it dancing along the current.
Second shot, Solonen,
not gonna give
her the bullseye,
little bit
of a roll outside,
can't pad the stats there.
Silva, what a line, look at this.
That was just a beautiful disc,
the way the sunlight hit the rim, gorgeous.
Hanley,
second shot,
that will do it,
perfect.
Val Mondajano, welcome to the network today.
There's a jumper to finish out her season
and Val had a great finishing stretch to her year as well.
Hansen, the birdie, four down.
She has jumped up the leaderboard,
she is in solo sixth place,
is some nice cash to bring home
and your winner at the Discmania Challenge,
Finishing her season strong.
That was a moment.
The putt for the win.
Silva, one last hole before taking home
the biggest purse in disc golf history.
A nice trip back to Finland.
A perfect shot
up the fairway.
One last approach to the pin.
Silva playing fan favorite, giving the fans a buzz by.
That'll
about do it.
And now Silva to cap off the year.
She's done it.
Great finish, making the big putt for the big win.

Disc Golf Pro Tour your 2026 Powerball Cup champion Silva Sorenson
silva a heavy trophy

how does it feel to win
the biggest purse in
disc golf history it's really nice to end season like
this you say that it's nice but at what point
was there pressure on you you came in with a big lead today how
were you feeling with that big lead
when you started this morning's round i would say
at start i was a bit nervous but maybe after a few
holes uh i i felt pretty good at what point were you comfortable
when you thought that you really
had everything under control
and you felt safe that the trophy was going to be yours was there
any point where you felt very comfortable?
Maybe after front nine or something. Earlier this year
you said that you and the rest of the European women
were winning almost every tournament in a
row and it makes you smile even just talking about it.
We see that you along with Evelina took down
all the majors. You're ranked number one
and number two in the world. What does that say
about European women and disc golf scene right now?
I think we are the best players in the world
right now all right i know you're excited
to get home it's been a long season here in the u.s

in the u.s or to everyone back home

who has came out to watch when we play
and uh i have really enjoyed my season even
though i was a bit tired uh before these last
