Welcome back 8 22 for the first time ever. The prestigious michelin guide is
honoring a restaurant right here in the southwest. That's right. Let's go
right out to Desiree this morning. She's at the fry bread house and
delicious fair and folks got to stop by and check this out. Good morning.
If it's michelin recommended, then add it to your list. We're here at the fry
bread house right in phoenix. You guys, this is, it's very cozy in here. This
is the dining space that you're seeing right now. Beautiful light coming in
from the outside with gorgeous windows that they have there in front. And
we're here with Keith this morning. Keith, you general manager of fried
bread. How are you? Good. Awesome. Thanks for having us here. We are so
excited for you to be michelin recommended and prior James Beard
award winner. I mean that says a lot about what you guys are serving up
super proud and the team is very proud of the accomplishment as well. You
couldn't do it without the team that we have here. Yeah. What was your reaction
when you got that michelin recommendation? Oh man, like goosebumps.
You know, I mean it's never been here first time in phoenix or anything like
that. And it's just a great amount of pride that we have in serving quality
food to the community. I bet. And we're looking at the menu right now. It's
hard to read, but walk us through what you are serving up and kind of some of
the popular menu items. We have obviously native american indigenous
recipes. Everything is made from scratch. Our most common ultimate taco
with our red chili and green chili are the most popular items that we have on
here. We're really known well for our stews, our red facility and our
vegetable beef, our biggest selling stews. Well, and we prepared some of
that for our viewers as well. So you have some of those popular menu items
right here. Let's start with the fry bread. What is in this one? Yeah. So
right here we got our fresh made fry breads with ours called our ultimate.
It's got red chili beans, cheese, sour cream and onion and it comes on the
fry bread. We may have red and green salsa that we make fresh every day as
well. That the ultimate is our biggest selling taco on our menu and that fry
bread. It does look fresh. Is that made fresh when we place our order to order
every day every day. I mean we can't if you if you make it ahead of time it
will get greasy or stale. It won't taste the same. So making it fresh
order. We hand pound out the bread to order. We make the dough fresh every
day. And how about this? This is um very eye catching. That looks so good.
That's our loaded cheese crisp. It's like you said, it's very eye catching.
It's our, it's made on a fresh chumath and chumath is the native american
version of tortillas and we cook them on a comal. Our chumath is made fresh
every day and on this we have ground beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, green
onions and green and red salsa. Wow. And we have the chumath right here as
well that you can get with um with your soup. Definitely. Yeah, you can
add chumath or fry bread to any other stews and the stews that we have, we
have a red uh red pozole and that has um with our signature green onion,
cilantro and lemon and then our vegetable beef soup is one of our most
popular items as well. It all looks so good. So stay with us you guys because
coming up in the next 20 minutes or so we're going to head back into the
kitchen. We're going to show you exactly how they make their fry bread. Sound
good. Awesome. Thank you. Awesome. We'll see you guys soon. All right. I
can't wait. It was so good. I was just sharing with hi that we were there last
weekend after the big announcement. Was it last friday? I think it's a big
announcement. So last saturday Gary and I went and the bean and cheese one is
delicious. The fry bread is like really light and it was busy. We had the old
met which had like meat and everything that he was talking about. You got to
try it, put it on your list.
