It's the Kicking and Screaming Podcast, with your host, the grouchiest sports podcaster
on the Upper East Side, Lou Albanese.
Alright, football fans, you know what the time of the year is, we're about a little
less than maybe what, ten days away from the start of the season, and we are looking at
football fantasy drafts, that's all that matters when it comes to football, fantasy drafts.
And to get you ready for your draft, if you haven't done it yet, or to make some decisions
if you have, I am with football fantasy guru, greatness, Adam Rosen.
Adam, tell us what you can be seen doing your fantasy, fantasy, fantasy.
Yeah, you can catch me weekdays on Sirius XM Fantasy Sports Radio, 11am to 1pm Eastern,
and then Sunday mornings, 7 to 9am Eastern.
You can follow me on xatadamronis on Instagram at A-R-O-N-88, got my rankings out if you
want to check them out, but yeah, I've done a ton of drafts already, still some more because
the season hasn't begun, I'm always finding my way into drafts, but yeah, fantasy football
is life, also part of fantasylife.com as well.
Now, that's also part of what, Matthew Berry's part of this group?
Yeah, so that is Matthew Berry's site, so I've been with them for a couple years now,
and that is the Fantasy Life Show on Sirius XM.
So that's big, so you know fantasy, we know what's out there, everyone talks about it,
this is probably, what, I would say what, 20, 30, 40 years since, when did fantasy first
start?
When did it become so popular where it became the thing to do?
Yeah, it's been around a long time.
I know it has been around a long time, but when was it most popular?
I would say, I mean it just keeps getting more popular each and every single year, Sirius
in the sports writing, I always wanted to do sports radio, that was my thing, so I grew
up listening to WFAN, overnight, all day, that's what I wanted to do, but I was always
big into fantasy sports, and I never envisioned being a fantasy sports analyst on a radio
channel that was 24 hours devoted strictly to fantasy sports, so I'd say probably, yeah,
around 2010.
And even before that.
Yeah, it was still big before that.
Because I would say about 20 years ago, I would say around the mid-2005-ish, it started
growing and growing and growing, now it's a massive, a massive industry.
Alright, so in case you're wondering, I have two teams, and to show you why I say this
man is an expert, how many teams do you have?
So Best Ball, which is when you just draft your team and the computer takes your highest
score each week, I have about 10 to 15 of those, so you just draft and there's no maintenance,
and then leagues with waiver wire ads, I probably have about 15, so I know.
Yeah, it's, you know, when we draft, when people invite you to draft, you're like, yes,
but then when the season begins, and it's Tuesday and it's Wednesday and you're going
through your waiver wire, you're like, yeah, I probably shouldn't have done that many,
and I also do baseball and basketball, so baseball's still going, it intersects with
football, thank goodness there's only two waiver wire Sundays of fantasy baseball when
fantasy football's going on, because we got the late start this year.
Oh, I know, you're lucky, because right now, usually is when the season starts, because
usually Labor Day would be like next year, Labor Day would be the first, so this would
have been the first week, but now, because it's a late Labor Day, you got an extra week
to plan.
The issue with that is it gives me more time to get in a couple more drafts over the weekend.
Right, you're up to 30.
Yeah, but look, it's fun, I do it a lot because I want to win money, but I also play in some
industry leagues that are bragging rights, but let's be honest, the more money on the
line, that's the more important league, we want to win money.
Yeah, the money ones are always the biggest ones, the other ones are fun, there's fun
and there's money.
Okay, I have to ask this question, you have to be honest in this, so you have 25, 30 teams,
right?
Yeah.
You wake up one day and you see this guy in the way, you say, I need a running back,
I need a running back, and you pick him up and you realize, I don't need him for this
team.
Have you ever done that, where you picked up a player on a team that you actually was
thinking about maybe 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 other teams?
Yeah, no, that happens.
Some teams need a running back, some teams don't.
I mean, usually you always need a running back.
Right, but I'm just saying, at that point, you know you need that running back for team
A, but you forgot and picked it up for team F.
It can happen, but I'm usually pretty diligent, I actually am a pen and paper guy, so I put
down each league when Wavers runs, because they're all different, so I play on different
platforms too.
So, a lot of them are Wednesday night at 10pm, I have a couple that are Tuesday night, I
think Yahoo does Tuesday night, so I don't play, I haven't played a league on ESPN yet,
but I play on many different platforms, so that's the big thing when you play this many
leagues, you have to be organized.
I will never miss a Waver Wire period, you know, you just have to be organized and diligent,
you know, you'll never hear me say, oh, I forgot Wavers ran, no, because this is business,
and you just got to be organized, and if you're going to play in that many leagues, I understand
many people don't, I'd say the average person is 2 to 3, the diehards that are subscribers
to Fantasy Life or listen to Sirius XM Fantasy Sports Radio, many of those, they'll be in
6, 7, 8, that's why they're listening and consuming the content as much as they are.
I know, my son is an 8, and I ask him all the time, how do you keep track of these,
but he does, he keeps track, and they love it, and the more teams the better, because
you may have a really, maybe 1, 2, 3, maybe 4 bad drafts, but you still have 4 that are good.
Yeah, it's going to happen, it's inevitable, some situations you're going to get hit with
a lot of injuries, now, to me, that's not an excuse, you figure out a way to overcome it,
picking up players on the waiver wire, making trades, but there are just some times that
things are just not going to work out, you know, you go back and look at drafts from last year,
you're going to see a lot of picks flop, there's a lot of things that go wrong,
offenses we expected to be good aren't, defenses that we thought we could pick on, we can't,
and injuries are inevitable, it's going to happen, we already have injuries going into the season,
which is why I always say, you can't draft too many players that are already injured,
because if you take that chance with 2 or 3 guys that are going into the season with an injury,
week 1 comes, now 2 more guys are hurt, now you got 5 guys, you wonder,
oh, I got no one on my bench, well, you took too much risk, so that's where you have to have that
balance, because we all get enamored, we're like, wow, this guy's falling to the 11th round,
I got to take him, well, he's hurt, that's why he's falling, you don't want to take too much risk.
Alright, we are on live on Fox Local, our friends at YouTube, our friends at Spotify,
and our friends at TikTok, now, we want to hear what you have to say, any questions you want,
please, go to the chat, right now, we have one up there by Jeff Guessoff,
hi, how do you feel about Josh Allen and the Bills defense, before you answer,
please, go to the chat, ask your questions, any questions you want, we'll answer it,
or I won't, Adam will.
So, with Josh Allen, he's the quarterback one in almost every draft that I've seen,
he has a very high floor, he's going to give you double-digit rushing touchdowns,
he's done it every year, there's also the talk that the passing game could pick up,
they might pass more, become more aggressive with Joe Brady taking over,
so that would help him, I don't like taking quarterbacks early, there's just so much,
so many good quarterbacks this year, that I just can't do it, and even in drafts,
when everyone else has the same mentality as me, I still can't do it, so,
Josh Allen generally goes, in your home leagues, round two, round three,
in drafts that I'm in, sometimes he falls to round four, I still can't do it,
but if you want reliability, Josh Allen is the guy, I just can't take a quarterback early,
I just can't do it.
My son's the same way, and a lot of people I know the same way,
they think the quarterback, you can get a quarterback,
even though the quarterback gets the most points, most likely,
they're concerned more about running backs, wide receivers, depth,
before they worry about the quarterback, I happen to think you need a quarterback,
I think a quarterback is vital.
It's just, we always see guys that are not drafted emerge, two years ago,
it was Baker Mayfield with a career year, last year was Matthew Stafford,
no one drafted Matthew Stafford, he had the back injury scare going into the year,
that even caused Puka Nukuwa to drop a little bit at certain points,
but you just always find quarterbacks, like last year, the guy for me that I wanted,
was Drake May, I thought he was undervalued, he showed in his rookie year,
he can get it done with his legs, the offense improved, and he did put it together,
I didn't think he would be in the MVP conversation,
but I think there's always quarterbacks late that you can get,
and you could always take two quarterbacks,
and if one of them pans out, becomes your every week starter,
because last year people drafted Drake May as their second quarterback,
and it got to the point where you're like, I gotta start this guy every week, he's too good.
Right, I can see that.
Okay, talking about quarterbacks, I'm gonna put the list up right now,
all right, this is the list of quarterbacks that Yahoo ranks,
in terms of basically, you know, from 1 to 20.
Matt, do we have that list? There we go.
Take a look at this list right here.
Of those quarterbacks, who do you feel is the number one guy,
and we always talk about Josh Allen, we know this,
so I'm gonna take Josh Allen out of the mix here.
Of the other quarterbacks, if you're not gonna go late,
if you're gonna go late, you're not gonna get your quarterback in the second or third round,
most likely fourth round, Josh Allen's gone.
So who do you think is most valued, who has value,
the most value of taking as a quarterback, even late or early, whatever it might be,
who has the most value on that list, which guys?
I actually like 7 through 10 a lot.
Caleb Williams last year really improved, he cut down on the sacks,
he took too many sacks, his completion percentage still wasn't good,
but it's the second year of the Ben Johnson offense,
and also he drafted Luther Burden and Colston Loveland,
and we saw both guys took some time, I mean,
Colston Loveland in the last four games had a 28% target share,
averaged 94 yards receiving per game,
that was the first pick that Ben Johnson made, 10th overall,
they're gonna unleash him this year.
Same with Luther Burden, D.J. Moore is gone,
so that offense is gonna take a step up, also their defense isn't good,
so you're gonna get more shootouts.
Justin Herbert with Mike McDaniel there, that is a boon for this offense,
they are going to take off.
Dak Prescott, he's been injured every other year,
but three of the last five full years that he's been healthy,
30 plus touchdowns, we saw how explosive their offense was last year
with the addition of George Pickens, so he's a good value,
and Trevor Lawrence, it looked like Trevor Lawrence was a bust,
he came out of Clemson, everyone loved him,
and even a start last year, it didn't look good,
all of a sudden, around week 8, week 9, it came together,
he had a career-high 9 rushing touchdowns,
I wouldn't expect that to repeat, I'd say more like 5,
but we like running quarterbacks,
that's why you see Jalen Hurts, Jaden Daniels,
Drake May, so high, Lamar Jackson,
because they give you a high floor,
Trevor Lawrence can add that, he's got a ton of weapons,
Parker Washington, Brian Thomas Jr.,
who's coming off a disappointing year, I expect him to rebound,
they'll mix in Travis Hunter,
Jacoby Myers, who came over last year at a 23% target share,
Brenton Strange, the tight end, who they just paid,
Brock Purdy is so undervalued too,
he's disrespected in fantasy,
he had 20 passing touchdowns in 9 games last year,
I understand they have an older team,
and they have some injuries right now,
but even if you go further down the list,
Jared Goff at 16,
Jared Goff's a very good quarterback in an explosive offense,
and we know the home-road splits aren't great,
but they have a lot of indoor games,
their defense is bad,
they're going to be in a lot of shootouts,
so are the guys, is there a guy on that list though,
who's a do-not-draft, stay away from?
Yeah, I think Lamar Jackson for me at 2,
again, I like him a lot,
but we saw last year that he didn't run as much,
and I know you can attribute that to the injuries,
so I don't think he's going to run as much,
Jaden Daniels, I'm a little concerned with,
now I did recently take him in a draft,
but it was round 11,
at 6, you're not drafting that guy in round 11,
their offensive line has major issues already,
left tackle Laremy Tunsell out for the year,
and we've seen reports that the offensive line
has looked disastrous in some of these joint practices,
so he's not the biggest quarterback either,
we like him because he runs,
but if he's going to be exposed and taking more hits
with that body frame,
it could lead to more injury and disappointment.
All right, so those two guys stay away from,
I kind of agree with you on both,
I don't like running quarterbacks,
I know they get a lot of points,
but they're going to break down,
and Lamar, he's at that point
where you guys start wondering if he's going to break down,
I know they're talking about
he's playing for a contract and all this,
but I wouldn't go near him.
Yeah, and you have to pay a high price tag too,
that's the thing,
you know, second quarterback off the board,
again, he could be good,
but now you're talking third, fourth round pick,
I don't want to invest that in a quarterback
when I can wait four to five rounds
and get several of the names that I mentioned,
and they're all not going to pan out,
we know that,
but if you take two of those guys
even further down the list,
like Jordan Love,
the one issue with him is
the last couple years with Josh Jacobs,
they've been primarily a running team,
he's been under 500 pass attempts,
it's very difficult for a fantasy quarterback
to not pass that much
and be a top 12 quarterback,
but with the situation with Josh Jacobs
on the commissioner's exempt list,
I think they're going to pass more,
their defense too has some issues,
Micah Parsons out for the first four games
on injured reserve,
so if Jordan Love gets to 540 pass attempts,
he does have a 32 passing touchdown season
under his belt on his resume,
so even if you go that late,
if you pair two quarterbacks,
I think one will emerge,
even Kyla Murray,
he's going into a great situation in Minnesota
under Kevin O'Connell,
every quarterback has thrived
except J.J. McCarthy,
I mean everyone,
even Carson Wentz was putting up good numbers last year.
That's where Sam started.
Yeah, they had Sam Donald
and Daniel Jones in the building,
and they let both guys go
and both went on to do great things.
We all know what that led to.
Sam with a Super Bowl,
Daniel Jones until he got hurt.
Yeah, Colt's offense was great.
Outstanding,
and the Vikings went in the toilet.
All right, we're going to go to break,
all right,
and when we come back,
we got to talk about the two biggest positions,
of course, that everyone cares about the most,
running back,
wide receiver,
very hard to find running backs in this league,
many people feel you got to go running back high,
I'm going to ask your opinion on that.
We'll come back from the break,
we'll talk running backs,
wide receivers,
and trust me,
you'll learn more from him,
than you will from anywhere else.
We are back with some fantasy football,
fantasy football with Adam Ronas.
Adam, we've talked about the chat,
please, if you want to join in,
any questions, please join.
We had a question out there about positions.
Okay, what is the position?
If one of our guys are trying to do their first draft,
what's the position he should look at first?
What's the most important position to look at first?
Yeah, it's running back and wide receiver.
Now, it depends where you're picking
and who's available on the board,
but I've noticed this year,
running backs are going a lot earlier.
It's kind of more old school.
In the last couple of years,
we've seen receivers go a lot in the first round.
I'm seeing a lot of running backs go in the first two rounds.
So I know when I'm in the back end of round one,
I'm often starting my draft with two running backs.
If you have the first two picks,
probably running back,
then it might be receiver.
So it really depends where you pick,
but it is important to get at least one running back this year,
I think in the first two rounds in many formats.
So running back is the most shallow pool.
The pool is more shallow for running backs.
There's a big drop off for running backs
and there's more receivers or vice versa.
I think the drop off at running back
because there's very few running backs right now
that are the primary guy in their backfield.
We have a lot of split backfields
and that can make it complicated on a week to week basis.
To get that bell cow running back
that you know is going to get 300 to 350 touches,
that's rare nowadays.
There's a lot more committee.
So if you can get one early, you want to do it.
All right.
So let's look at before we get to the running back stand,
let's talk about the wide receivers.
When I put the list up, I'm going to ask you,
this is what we did with the quarterbacks.
Let's take a list of the wide receivers.
There they are.
All right.
You see the list up there, the top 20.
Who are the guys that jump out?
Who has the most value?
Chris Alave with the injury to Jordan Tyson.
We saw Alave last year.
He was one of the best values in football.
The questions last year were
he was dealing with a lot of concussions,
but he was healthy the entire year,
had a massive target share.
So with Jordan Tyson out who was dominating training camp,
that opens it up for him.
Devante Smith.
Whenever A.J. Brown was out last year,
his target share was around 30%.
And A.J. Brown now on New England.
Jalen Waddle.
I really like a lot.
I think he's a little undervalued.
Denver now.
Yeah, Denver.
Sean Payton knew he needed a receiver,
a guy with speed.
And they passed a lot last year.
Bo Nix had over 600 pass attempts.
Zay Flowers is another guy that last year,
80 plus receptions, over 1,200 yards,
only five touchdowns.
But they were a team that didn't pass much last year.
They were one of the lowest passing teams in the NFL.
I think it's going to increase.
He just got paid.
Yeah.
Declan Doyle's now the offensive coordinator.
So if he can get to 70 touchdowns,
I really like him.
And I mentioned A.J. Brown.
I think he's in a great spot in New England.
Change of scenery.
We know things in Philadelphia last year.
You could see the body language.
It was ugly.
Yeah, he didn't want to be there.
Yeah, and he was too outspoken.
He's still too outspoken.
He is.
He's still ripping Jalen Hurts.
And he's been off the team now for like six months.
It's a fresh start.
How many players have we seen in recent years go to a new team?
They're human.
It's human nature.
Fresh start.
And I think he's going to go off.
So I like him too.
All right.
So who's your stay away from?
No way.
Do not draft.
Red flag.
For me, it's got to be Justin Jefferson.
I mean, last year we saw how bad he was.
I know it was a lot of the quarterback play.
And I did mention Kyler Murray could be good.
But there's the possibility that he's not.
And he's been more not than good.
There's been a lot more not seasons than good seasons.
Again, you're hoping that Kevin O'Connell and all the weapons around him.
He's coming from Arizona.
And we've always seen things not go well there.
But if Kyler Murray isn't good and they have to change quarterbacks too,
we could see another down year from Justin Jefferson.
And I see him go late first round.
I don't want to invest that pick on him.
I could be wrong because he's so talented and it could break right.
But I'm not going to take that chance at the end of round one.
Anybody else?
On that list, Malik Nabors concerns me a little bit.
I want to take him because I know how great he is.
He's still coming off an injury.
So he was going third, fourth round.
And then we got the news that he wasn't on the pop list.
And people see videos of running routes.
He still hasn't gotten hit.
He hasn't participated in the game.
Now it could be a slow start and maybe he gets going.
But I've seen him now go in late round two.
And I always say I judge myself when the money's on the line.
And I've been in some drafts 300 plus dollars.
And I haven't taken Malik Nabors in the end of round two.
And I worry about Malik.
I was set this today in the noon about his mental state.
You know, you keep talking about how he says he feels great.
He says he feels great.
But then he says, I'm not sure if I'm going to play week one.
Well, you're feeling great.
And the Giants are kind of pushing him towards week one.
They want him to play.
But he's hesitant.
And if his mind, he has those doubts.
You know how injuries are.
Sometimes it takes longer to heal the mind than it is the actual injury.
Injury feels great.
But mentally, I'm not ready to go.
I stay away.
I've heard players say that too.
It is a big mental aspect.
I appreciate his honesty.
Because a lot of times athletes don't tell us the truth.
So it is refreshing.
But at the same time, when you hear that, you're like, I don't know if I want to take him so early.
Yeah.
OK.
So that's the receivers.
Now we said the one position that you think that's very thin.
It's a nice way to put it.
Running backs.
OK.
So let's put the picture up on the board of the list of running backs.
Top 20.
All right.
There they are.
Who are your high value players?
I love James Cook.
I know he's ranked fifth there.
I think in some formats, he's ranked a little bit lower.
But last year, they finally gave him a huge workload.
He had 207 carries two years ago.
Last year, he had over 300.
There's also talk that he's going to be more involved in the passing game.
So even if the carries go down, you know, PPR leagues, those receptions, it's an explosive offense.
A passing back is gold.
Yeah.
It's gold.
Chase Brown.
Chase Brown, when Joe Burrow was healthy last year, put up insane numbers.
He's not the most talented back on this list.
But the Bengals offense is going more under center this year.
Less shotgun.
Joe Burrow's been talking up Chase Brown.
He's going to catch 60, 70 passes.
Marion Hampton.
Mike McDaniel.
Look at the running backs under Mike McDaniel.
Raheem Mostert.
Devon Achan.
Like the guy right behind him.
Right behind him in number 10.
Achan.
He made Achan.
Exactly.
And Keaton Mitchell's a little banged up.
So that could give Hampton some more opportunity early in the year.
And DeAndre Swift.
Kyle Mnunga is dealing with a little bit of an injury.
It's the Bears offense.
We all expect that offense to be explosive this year.
Swift is a boring guy.
Like, he doesn't have the ceiling to finish top five.
But to get him as your second running back, I like that.
Well, another one.
Our friend Yankee Max.
We all know who that is.
I'm not, that's my friend.
Our friend Max.
Both of us know him.
Is Scadaboo a legit running back for the Giants?
Yeah, RB1, no.
RB1 would be top 12.
I don't see it.
I think there's definitely some questions.
He actually said he contemplated retirement after that injury.
Which you don't like to hear.
Look, he's very physical.
So that could lead to more injuries.
He was excellent last year.
Especially since he catches passes.
But they did bring in Najee Harris.
Who could play a role.
You still have Tyrone Tracy there.
Although his preseason was terrible.
Yeah, I'm surprised he even made a switch.
I thought so too.
I thought he might get cut.
I really did.
Scadaboo's more of your second running back.
I don't think you want him to be your RB1.
The Giants offense has question marks too.
Matt Nagy's there.
He's not been the best offensive coordinator.
No, and already now, you can see it with Dart.
He's having problems now with the whole pro style.
And if you're Matt Nagy and you know you have a Jackson Dart.
But he's going to force that.
Because it worked with Mahomes.
It may not work with Dart.
He's having trouble coming out of it.
You know, I think what?
50% of the snaps is now on the center.
That's something he's never played before.
Yeah, so I do think there's some questions with the Giants offense.
People want to get excited because Harbaugh's there.
But I think there could be a slow start there for this Giants offense.
All right, so you mentioned Scadaboo's not a number one.
Of that list again.
Matt, put that list up one more time.
Who were the red?
The running backs, sorry.
And let's do who was the red flags?
Who was the one stay away?
For me, it's Christian McCaffrey.
If you're guaranteeing me, McCaffrey's playing 17 games.
I think we'd all agree he's the RB1.
But he usually goes anywhere from three to six.
He had over 400 touches last year.
He was great.
But 3.9 yards per carry.
That was one of his most inefficient seasons on the ground.
We know he's going to play a big role in the passing game.
But he's 30 years old.
And if you look at his career, every time he's gotten that big workload.
He doesn't play much the next year.
That's right.
I was going to say, whenever he does that kind of carries, that kind of workload.
The next year, he either gets hurt or he just doesn't perform.
Right, or he doesn't play much.
And he's definitely not number three.
Yeah, I don't think he's number three.
I can't do it.
And again, it would not be a surprise if he's the RB1 at the end of the year.
If you're telling me he's going to play 16, 17 games.
But based on his history, I can't count on that.
All right, so you're looking at that list right now.
Gibbs, Dijon Robinson.
Are they head and shoulders above every other running back?
Absolutely.
Yeah, there's no question about it.
Dijon Robinson had over 800 receiving yards last year.
I think he could go 1,000, 1,000.
Gibbs, he has no backup running back.
Isaiah Pacheco was put on injured reserve.
David Montgomery is gone.
The one concern I do have about Gibbs, he did wear down late last year.
You know, he's not the biggest back.
But I think he's going to be so involved in the passing game.
He's going to get more goal line carries.
David Montgomery was taking some of those away.
So this could be a season where you see Gibbs score 20 plus touchdowns combined.
Those two, almost every draft I do, 1-2.
Sometimes you see Dijon go 1, it's mostly Gibbs.
But every draft, I always see those two.
And that's what I'm going to ask you.
Between the two guys, they're so close.
Who do you think is number one between the two?
I give Dijon the slight edge because I think he's going to catch more passes.
But I also see the other side.
If you just simplify, right, which offense is better?
It's clearly Detroit, right?
We know they're going to put up points.
With Atlanta, we don't even know who the starting quarterback is.
They haven't named it.
They want it to be Penix.
That could be a good thing, too, for Dijon, though.
Well, if two is the quarterback, you know he's checking down.
So that's going to be great.
Either way, they're going to get Dijon heavily involved in the passing game.
Again, I could see him getting 1,000 receiving yards.
He is that good.
I think there's a...
We haven't even seen the best of Dijon Robinson.
They've got to stop giving another running back goal line carries.
There is some talk that Brian Robinson could get the goal line carries.
Don't do that again.
And that's the one thing against Dijon.
He doesn't get the touchdowns the other guys do.
Because of that, they pull him.
But he can, though.
He has that talent.
I think a lot of times coaches are afraid of the injuries down by the goal line.
And that's really what it is.
He's too valuable not to have that.
OK.
Closing minutes.
You've done your draft.
You have your team in tact.
You like your team.
One and three.
Two and two.
OK.
Even three and one.
How active are you on the waiver wire?
Are you one of those guys who likes my team?
I know it.
I feel good about it.
I'm going to let it go.
Or are you jumping that waiver wire and you're making changes right away?
You have to be active all the time.
Even if you're four and one.
There's some times where I've seen a four and one team.
And I go, this team's not that good.
And I have teams one and three.
I'm like, this team is really good.
You all know this.
The schedule.
There's some luck involved.
Sometimes you run into the highest scoring team four weeks in a row.
But you know your team is good.
But you always have to be active.
Even if you're four and one.
And I'll say this.
You could be O and four.
You're not out of it.
I had a team that was O and four one year and won the title.
And that's the thing.
I think people get down and they give up.
It's a long season.
Even if you're O and four.
It is not over.
You win four in a row.
You're right back in it.
And some leagues account for total points too.
That's how it should.
To me, the last playoff spot should be total points.
Because we've all seen it.
Second most points in the league.
And they're 10th.
I mean, come on.
That's some bad luck.
You just ran into some hot teams.
But yeah.
The draft is just one piece of the puzzle.
Working the waiver wire is extremely important.
Every week you should look at it.
I don't care if you're four and O.
Six and O.
Don't get complacent.
We all know how things can change.
And you've got to keep working.
Picking up that player.
Because you can pick someone up that can be valuable for the rest of the year.
So yeah.
Working the waiver wire is every week.
No.
It doesn't matter what your record is.
All right.
Yeah, I know.
That's why I hung up.
Because I know somebody's coming after me as usual.
All right.
We got like two minutes left.
So let's do this real quick.
Best tight end is.
Brock Bowers.
And after him.
Trey McBride.
What do you think of the kids from the best?
Colston Loveland love him.
I've been taking him in my drafts in round four.
I was fortunate to get him one at in the fifth round.
I picked nine of round five.
Love Colston Loveland though.
We saw last year towards the end of the season.
They really started to get him involved.
And as I mentioned before, Ben Johnson.
That was the first pick he made.
So that tells you a lot.
Coaches when they draft.
They're telling you a story.
And he said this is going to be my guy.
So I love Colston Loveland.
Okay.
So defenses.
Kickers.
Important to you.
Yeah, they matter.
I usually pick them late.
There's an occasion where I'll take Brandon Aubrey a little bit earlier for Dallas.
Cam Little from Jacksonville has a big league.
Defenses.
I think you can stream and play the matchups.
I just don't want to spend too much.
If you're in a league where you have a fat budget.
I don't want to spend a lot.
But I think defenses you can stream.
But kickers.
There's some really reliable ones that I'll take a little bit earlier.
Finally, last question I have for you.
You have to do it quick.
Real quick.
Again.
Tell us.
Where can they find everyone out there?
Where can they find you on streaming your websites?
And of course XM.
Tell us a story.
On X at Adam Ronis.
Sirius XM Fantasy Sports Radio.
Weekdays 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern.
Sunday morning 7 a.m. Eastern.
All right, guys.
You heard it right here.
Would you trade Gentee or Love for Golden and Tucker for Pickens?
Real quick.
Sean Ford.
Yes or no.
I would do Love for Pickens.
There you go.
There's your answer.
We got you in.
Thanks for watching, guys.
See you next week.
