Annual great PUPkin dog costume contest

The weather was perfect for all sorts of outdoor activities, especially a dog costume contest. That's right, Halloween coming early to Fort Greene. And if you ever wanted to see a dog dressed up like Dolly Parton or another celebrity, this is your chance. Our Meredith Gorman drew this so-called rough assignment. Forget the runway. In Brooklyn, it was all about the dog walk. Fort Greene Park was packed for the annual Great Pumpkin Dog Costume Contest, where more than 100 dogs showed up dressed to impress. And let's just say their owners took the assignment pretty seriously. This is Dolly Parker Parton, and we are honoring a legend this year. You know, rest in peace, Dolly. She gave so many generations so many great music and so many great memories and so many great values. That's called Scrub Daddy, and he is doing the dishes. He's got his raincoat on, and he's covered in bubbles, and these stack of plates fell over. Creativity was on full display as these pups gave the judges plenty to think about. And with so much competition, standing out from the pack was no easy task. This is Archie. He's Lisa Rinna from the Real Housewives. This is Miss Peggy. Isn't she beautiful? Hundreds of people came out to watch the Halloween festivities, cheering on their favorite four-legged contestants. But when it came time to crown a winner, one costume stole the show. Taking home the top prize was Tank and Louie, who were dressed up as the Prestige and participating in the contest for the first time ever. We watched the Prestige for the first time a few months ago, and then we were trying to come up with a costume for these two handsome guys who are besties, twins, long-lost brothers, and we thought that we could capitalize on how similar they are and how magical they are. and it just it just came to us and while only one pup could take home the top prize the rest certainly gave the crowd plenty to smile about ahead of Halloween, Meredith Gorman, Fox 5 News
