Why is this recipe worth more than gold in the Czech Republic? You have to try it!
Svíčková with cream, tender beef, homemade dumplings, and an incredibly creamy sauce, this traditional Czech recipe is one of my favorite classics of European cuisine. If you love easy recipes, hearty comfort food, beef recipes, and traditional dishes, you absolutely have to try this recipe! 🇨🇿
Today, I'll show you step by step how I prepare a classic Svíčková na smetaně with slowly braised beef. The wonderful creamy and aromatic sauce is created using carrots, celery, parsley root, spices, and cream.
We'll make our dumplings completely from scratch. They turn out wonderfully soft and pair perfectly with the Svíčková sauce and the tender beef.
This traditional dish takes some time, but that’s what makes all the difference. The meat is slowly braised, the flavors meld together, and in the end, you have a true Sunday meal like from traditional Czech cuisine.
Make sure to try this special recipe and let me know in the comments if you’ve ever had Svíčková. ❤️
Enjoy your meal!
