Video Summary
AI GeneratedThis video covers a wide range of celebrity news and legal updates, focusing on Tiger Woods' driver's license suspension, a historic same-sex pairing on Dancing with the Stars, and the \"magical\" wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. It also delves into Alanis Morissette's extortion lawsuit, the Lindsay Clancy trial deadlock, and updates on Ariana Grande's personal life.
Welcome to TMZ live. So Tiger Woods copped a plea in his DUI case and right off the bat,
the deal is that he is not allowed to drive for five years. That is unusual to say five years
because most of these are a year. Sometimes with reckless driving, it was a repeat offender,
it's 18 months. So he would automatically, he was already going to lose a year because
he refused to take your analysis. But he's going to five years because yes, he's copped a plea
here, but this is his second offense. So it is not, it is not DUI now. He pled to reckless driving,
but because it's his second offense, he's getting five years for that. He's getting another five
years. Well, but those are consecutive. But the normal second offense reckless is 18 months.
This judge more than doubled that, nearly tripled it because of Tiger's pass. And so
the words the judge used are really important here and we'll explain,
but this is what the judge said to Tiger Woods, eye to eye in court.
Agreement calls for as of count one, state amends the charge to local one reckless driving second
offense, adjudication of guilt, $1,000 fine, five-year driver's license suspension. Count two,
which is the removal of the subject to a lawful test, adjudication of guilt, $500 fine.
Defendant interpreted a careless driving citation. So you are adjudicated,
pay the minimum fine on that. The judge more closely, a five-year driver's license suspension
from gun compartment count one. Sir, I want you to understand that five years of driving
is for the safety of the public. There are no obsessions. If you were to drive for any reason
at all, you would go immediately back to jail. If you are to drive for any reason during that
five-year period, you are going back to jail. Right. So the question, if you are to drive
anywhere, you're thinking about Tiger's career and what he does for a living.
It sometimes requires driving a golf cart. But the judge said no exceptions. No exceptions. And
he didn't say drive. First of all, in Florida, a golf cart is a motor vehicle. But even if it
weren't considered a motor vehicle, and in some states it's not, but even if it weren't, the judge
didn't say motor vehicle. The judge say, if you drive anywhere, you are going back to jail. So
that seems to include golf carts. I was going to say, obviously Tiger Woods is really beat up.
We know he's got leg injuries going back to the crash from 2021. He actually needs a golf cart
more than ever. Right. It's not like a luxury for Tiger. I think it's a necessity. So I mean,
how does his attorneys, who are obviously very competent attorneys, how do they not bring that
up then in court today and clarify that with the judge? Because they may have known what they were
going to get if they did. You think so? I think. But that's a big chance he's taking. And I know
you're saying the old theory of better to ask for forgiveness than permission. But the judge said,
no exceptions. You are going to jail. Do you want to take a chance or would you rather just have
your caddy drive the golf cart? But if you know what the answer is going to be, why put it out
there in public? I mean, he can have the caddy drive the cart. Yeah. And the problem with Tiger
Woods is that there are at least two occasions where it seems like he was under the influence
of prescription meds. And he not only got in the car, but was driving fast and flipped the car
twice. And well, and we don't want to flip the car here in California. We don't know. We don't
know if he was ever. But a lot of people are very suspicious about that, that tests were never done.
Right. But the idea that he had a reckless in Florida and flipped a car and then did it again
and apparently was under the influence of something because he even admitted that he
had taken his prescriptions earlier in the day and had a pill in his pocket and pills in the
pocket that, you know, you would think that if I were the judge, you would think, yeah, well,
he knew that before and he still did it. And I think that's why the judge just laid down the law
the way he did. Yeah. I mean, think about it. And again, this question about whether or not
includes golf carts after we we posted a story about this this morning. Right. And there were
other people who actually spoke to Florida's state attorney, attorney general, and asked the
question. Here's his reaction. And try to legally drive a golf cart with that. Oh, my God. That's
a great question. Actually, you. Yeah, I think you could. Can you drive a golf? You know what?
You got me. We'll have to look into that. I'll get back to you. I know you cannot drive a golf
cart while impaired on the roads because it is a vehicle. But I don't. My my gut reaction is going
to be no. But great question. And if you give Christine your information, I'll get back to you.
Well, we've got to get back to Christine. I think that was the state's attorney. Florida
state's attorney. So it's interesting because we made a phone call and one of the people in
the office had initially said, oh, that's ridiculous. Of course, you can't. Not so,
according to the state's attorney. Yeah. And I got to say, here's the wild card. Tiger knew
this after the first time that he wasn't supposed to do it. But he did it again. Yeah. And we don't
know how many times he did it before he actually got caught. So is he going to take that chance
again? Because he seems that he will take that chance if he wants to. Yeah. Playing with fire,
though. Well, I know. Right. I mean, I know in a real serious way this time, though. It's
interesting, too, that his girlfriend showed up. Yeah. Vanessa Trump right by his side.
Well, it's because because of what he did at the scene when he was arrested. He calls Trump. Are
you not surprised? Do they not go hard on him here? I get Trump. It's it's state versus federal. But
Ron DeSantis, I'm surprised. Yeah, but you got to look at it more as local Palm Beach. Right. And
isn't he a popular guy there? Yes, he is. And that's why I think who knows? I think it doesn't
hurt to show up with Vanessa Trump on your arm because you're in Trump. Right. But the only
reason I was a little surprised is because of what happened at the scene that when he comes out
of all the woods and says, I was just talking to the president. I mean, so that's all the more
reason why she he would bring her with him when he the day he got arrested. He made it clear about
his connection to the president. And the day he goes in for the plea deal, he wants to remind them
I'm close with the kind of on the spot that, you know, like he's looking at them and she's there.
I mean, should the judge say, by the way, you are not influencing me, right? It could backfire. You
know, people think you're giving preferential treatment. You go the other way. But you're
acting like he didn't get a good deal. I know he can't drive for a good deal. He got a very good
deal. I know. But that's why I'm saying it puts the judge in the spot. Like, is he getting that
because she's there and the whole thing? I don't know.
Hi, guys. My name is Sydney Kuya, and I live in New York. And regardless on what the state
of Florida decides that or not he can, he can't drive a golf cart. Hands down. I do think the
decision for his suspension is the best decision, mainly just because he's putting so many people
along with himself at risk. But I think it poses more of a bigger question of what athletes can
and can't do. There are so many programs in place that helps them financially and mentally after
their career. How many programs are actually in place that helps with their long-term pain
management? Because it wasn't alcohol that was found in his system. It was hydrocodone.
No, no. But I got to stop you for a second. Yeah, he has clearly severe physical issues.
That doesn't mean you get in a car and drive. I 100% agree with you. I do. But it's one of
those things where people don't necessarily, look, you have amateur sports and you go into
pro sports. It's a huge difference. And in pro sports, they deal with so many injuries. So this
is not me defending him at all. This is one of those things where I think there should be
necessary programs in place that prevent stuff like this from happening going forward. Yeah,
but that requires the athlete to say, all right, I'm going to go into one of those programs.
And that's the hard thing to do is to get them until after the fact. But he went to rehab. He
went to rehab. He went to rehab. That's after the fact. He's saying, right, there should be
something proactive. It is official. The culture wars have gone to the dog bar. They've gone to
the dogs. Also gone to the dogs because what seemed like a nice, cute moment on Capitol Hill,
which you don't get a lot of Congresswoman Nancy Mace with her puppy. We had a little
conversation about it. And then Congressman Tim Burchett walked up and things got weird.
He made he made assumptions. Never do that. Who's this? This is Millie. And I got her.
I'm an empty nester and single. So I got a puppy so I could have a baby to take care of. Oh, my
God. Did you get it? Because I mean, no offense. You're going to have some extra time on your
hands. We're going to have extra time starting in January and definitely want to get a puppy
to fill some of that time. I love that private sector. I go. Are you going to the private
sector? Oh, yeah, for sure. Go back. Go back and work like every other hardworking American. You
know, it's hard to find a job if you've got lots of tats these days. Is it? Yeah. I mean,
you know, it's a she not a he do not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I do not
transgender. My dog was a Birchett to seem like he's like, oh, God, I can't do this. I'm walking
away. The two of them should get a sitcom. It's ridiculous. There's so many things going on in
the world. Oh, she was kind of joking. It is clearly funny. I think the word there is misgender.
It would be misgender. If she were real, I think it was a really serious. She would have said,
Mr. Oh, it was a joke, but it's just a joke, honestly. And that's so funny,
Charlie. No offense, but you're going to have time in your hands. Oh, what he said. That was
funny because he lost her. And I love that he said it's hard to get a job when you have tattoos
like that because she is tatted, which we didn't know until a couple of weeks ago. Yeah. It's
interesting that we didn't learn that until after she lost her primer. That was fun. That was fun.
Hello, everyone. My name is Ricky Longoria. I am calling in from South Texas. And I just watched
that clip of Nancy Mase, you know, trying to own the libs. Her obsession with transgender people
is honestly her mind needs to be, you know, studied by science. She's trying to stay relevant
after being, you know, annihilated in the South Carolina governor's primary,
after being shunned by her puppet master, Donald Trump, for voting to release the Epstein files.
And to your comment about the tattoos, she's trying to do that as a stunt to try and own the
libs. She's trying to be relevant, and it's not working. I will say, though, it almost came off
like she was mocking the whole. Yeah, that's the way, honestly, that's kind of the way I saw it,
yeah. Coming up. So I got to follow up, Sarah Jane. You said that Brooks's advice to you was
to not bang your partner immediately. I heard you say the word immediately.
So it's sort of like you're leaving the door open. Be right back.
Well, they are going there. Dancing with the Stars is going to be doing something this season
they have never done before. Once before. Not, well, not this way. JoJo. The JoJo? Yeah. Oh,
I missed that season. Okay, for the second time ever. For the second time ever. But this time,
I will be watching, because I'll admit it, I'm kind of a fan of the celebrity who is going to be
paired with a same-sex partner. This season, it will be Sarah Jane Nader, who you will know from
the reality show Love Thy Nader, with her sister Brooks. And she's going to be paired with a new
dancing pro, Hailey Bills. And this is. Okay, this is just really hot. So we're going to.
Okay, it just is. You can say it, yeah. It just is. You can say it. Okay, so Sarah Jane is joining
us right now. Sarah Jane, congratulations. Thank you. I'm so excited. So are we. So I'm just so
curious about how this works. So they came to you and they, look, I mean, let's just put it out
there, that you have talked about, you're into both men and women. And I'm just wondering how
this came about. Yeah, so basically, I mean, ever since last year, when we all went on with Brooks,
when she danced, there was talks of like, oh, which sister is going to go next? I never thought
it would actually happen. But I got the offer a few months ago and they were like, would you want
to be partnered with a girl partner? And I was like, absolutely. And so that was a big part of
the reason I am excited to do this. And I feel like everyone, I don't know, I think it's really
cool because it's the second ever female-female pairing. And I just think it's dope. I grew up
watching Dancing with the Stars and like never saw representation like that. So I think it'll be
really fun and exciting. Yeah. What is the reaction been from the community, from the lesbian
community? Because like you said, this is not something they see frequently where they get
this kind of representation. Are you getting a lot of reaction online? Honestly, I literally just
left Good Morning America and have been at lunch with my managers. I haven't really checked in on
online commentary, but all of my friends and like, you know, members of the community that I'm close
with have been just so excited. And I think it's it's just going to be super fun, too. Like I've
been dancing with women my whole life, grew up with sisters, and this is a whole new take on
that. And I think it'll be really, really fun. Sarah-Jane, everybody says that at the beginning.
They go like, this is going to be a lot of fun. And then a few weeks in, they're like,
this is really painful. Like it's I mean, really grueling work to do these these routines and to
do the rehearsals every day. Yeah. So I mean, I'm one weekend. I'd say check in with me next week.
Maybe I'm already like every day gets tougher. And Haley's an amazing teacher and dancer. And so
I just I feel so lucky that I have her guiding me through it. But I'm ready for the toughness.
I'm going to take it on. I'm just going to ask the questions that people are thinking.
I believe. Are you attracted to Haley? Well, I mean, it's like Haley is so hot. And you are
just really is. And it's like the two of you together feels incendiary to me.
OK, I will say that Brooke gave me one piece of advice and that was don't partner immediately.
And so I'm honestly I'm focused on I think Haley's a great girl. She's like I could not
have picked a better partner. She's amazing. We became instant friends when we met and we're
really just focused on the dance right now. We want to like do everyone proud. And it's
her first season, which is so exciting. So she has a lot to prove. I have a lot to prove. I
think we're really just like focused on giving a great performance. And so, yeah, you all will
get to see like we have amazing, you know, energy between each other. And I think we're having so
much fun. I feel so comfortable around her. But are you going to lean into the sensuality of it?
It's dance. I mean, I think that like dance, yeah, dance is innately, I feel like a sexy sport.
And so I'm like, I'm very open to that. But I'm I respect Haley so much as a dancer. And I'm just
like trying to soak in everything when she teaches me a move and then I try it. I'm like, OK, this
looks so easy on you. Not at all on me. So I'm really just trying to learn. So I got to follow
up, Sarah Jane, you said that Brooks's advice to you was to not bang your partner immediately.
I heard you say the word immediately. So it's like you're you're leaving the door open.
No, no, I honestly, though, honest, I can't speak for Haley. Like she's she's amazing and
we have so much fun together. But I am truly focused on the dance right now because our first
week is like an intense dance. And I'm just I want to like make everyone proud and be Brooks's
week five or whatever it was. Got to go further than that. Yeah, there's got to be some some
family competition going on here. So, you know, we were talking about this in our morning meeting
today and I just kind of raised the point that they have not done two men together, a gay man
with another male dancer. And we were talking about it. And the office felt that it just
wouldn't play with America to do that, that there is a difference between two women and two men.
They just do glib with a with a drag queen. Right. But but you know what I'm saying?
Is our take correct? I mean, I think that's a personal thing for everyone. I personally
would love to watch you guys get it on on the dance floor. Like I think that'd be fun. And
like heated rivalry. Have you all seen that? I mean, I think it'd be really fun. And I think,
you know, like the gays would go crazy for it. I think it'd be cool.
I love it. But America loves two females to attract women. No one's going to. But the office
was saying that they wouldn't be as accepting with two guys. I mean, listen, the people that
aren't going to accept, they aren't going to accept. I feel like I know I feel like a lot of
times. I think like I think people fetishize a bit like two girls, especially like straight men.
And so I think that they can be like, OK, I approve this because it's hot and like whatever.
I like it in that way. Then they should also be able to accept two guys dancing together,
you know, because there's no logic of why that would be like upsetting to someone.
I also think it's like you you care enough. You're still watching, you know. So I don't know.
I'm excited. I think it's going to be it's going to be hot. It's going to be fine. It's going to
be hard. But I'm going to power through and I'm going to make everyone proud. Are you going to be
shooting this on for Love by Nader? Yes. So we have there is probably going to be some crossover,
but it'll be yeah, there will be lots of my sisters are already, you know, so involved
and like more than I even want sometimes with practice and everything. So we'll we'll see what
happens with that. But we'll capture it all for sure. OK, well, this is the first time I've ever
talked to you. If you are half as fun as Brooks, it's going to be amazing because I got to tell
you, she's I love her. I know she's told me she was like, Harvey's going to call you like talk
to him. He's the best. And she really loves you. She speaks the world of you. I'm so happy
we did that. She's the best. We are so excited for you, by the way. You said you said check in
in a week. We'll give you two weeks, but we'll check in. Yeah. Give me some more practices.
I'll probably be busted up and bruised and struggling. That makes for good TV. That's
fun. Yes, exactly. Thanks for coming on. Really appreciate it. Thank you. Bye, guys.
Coming up, Alanis Morissette is in the middle of a lawsuit with her former tour manager.
It has to do with the tour manager getting busted for drugs while they were out on the road. Alanis
says now that tour manager is trying to blackmail her over that drug arrest. Be right back.
TMZ's got every freaking thing. Big celebs, big stories, big events. Donald Rawlings took TMZ DC
on a city tour. You know what the irony of this is? A black man takes a white person to the White
House. It's TMZ. Alanis Morissette is got some some bad blood from her tour.
In fact, she is now in the middle of a lawsuit with her former tour manager. It has to do with
the tour manager getting busted for drugs while they were out on the road. And Alanis says now
that tour manager is trying to blackmail her over that drug arrest. In other words,
he was trying to say he had one hand in her pocket. She. But yes, this is a woman named
Karen Uranoff is is is being sued by Alanis Morissette. And what and what she is saying is
we were at a British airport. The British border forces stopped you with a bag. That bag had
xylazine and another drug in it. Frank? Yes. Which is a which is a non-opioid tranquilizer
said she stopped. And according to Alanis, she said, that's my bag. The tour manager said it
was her bag. Later changed the story and sent extortionate demands to Alanis saying,
give me a job for 15 years, raise my salary or else and you admit that you took that bag.
And Alanis said, I can't give into these demands. I need to now sue you. So she's suing her for
civil extortion for making these demands on her. Wow. It's pretty crazy. Wow. Was the tour manager
actually like did she go to court? Was she convicted of this? She says she has that.
She has a past with this. According to Alanis, the woman said she had previously had run-ins
with border enforcement for trying to smuggle drugs even. And she said she wasn't a very good
tour manager either. So Alanis is saying, I don't certainly don't want to hire her for 15 years. She
messed up some hotel booking for me already, but it won't be held over a barrel. But did Alanis
file a police report because extortion is a crime? It's a good question. It doesn't indicate that a
police report was filed in this lawsuit, but she is saying that we got a series of escalating
demands in these letters. And now I'm forced to go to court because she's trying to extort me.
So there's one remaining question here that is very important that we address.
Is it Alanis or Alanis? I was thinking when he said that, I agree. It's Alanis. It's Alanis.
It's Alanis. It's Alanis. It's not Alanis. You don't think so? Everybody said Alanis.
Are you sure about that? Because I'm from the generation that cared about
jagged little pillows. You're a little bit older. I cared about it and it was Alanis.
Hi, I'm Brianna. I am from Washington DC. Thanks so much. I think the funniest part for me
was the lawsuit really, really emphasized that not only was she blackmailing allegedly Alanis,
but she was also a bad manager. So they were like, even if she doesn't extorting us,
we still would not want to hire her. It was a nice turn by Alanis' lawyer to throw that
little jab. Yeah, no, absolutely. And she's just a bad tour manager. But I got to say,
Alanis Morissette, this guy has been going on all morning about jagged little pillows.
Well, not just jagged little pillows. You know, she did music after jagged little pillows. I know
she did, but I'm talking about having seen her, you know, doing interviews and whatnot.
She's just really cool. She's a really cool person. And I always thought of her when you,
you ought to know, came out. I always thought she was angry. Right. And she's not that person
at all. It's kind of her signature song, but it actually doesn't reflect most of her at all.
Coming up, Travis, Kelsey and his brother Jason are back for a new season of new heights.
And of course, talking about Travis and Taylor's wedding day.
It was just so magical, man. And I wish it could have lasted even longer than it did.
It felt like it just happened in a blink of an eye. Be right back.
Welcome back to TMZ Live. Travis, Kelsey and his brother Jason are back for a new
season of new heights. And they are only talking football this season.
Well, they're going to start with a little bit of Taylor because this is...
Are they talking any football this season?
Of course, they're going to talk football. Do they?
Yeah. I mean, Devin, hold on. I imagine.
Do they talk football still? Do they? Of course, they talk about football.
I only care about the Taylor Swift part. Well, you're getting Taylor Swift to begin with. So
they kicked off their new season by, of course, talking about Travis and Taylor's wedding day.
And this was a standout moment for Travis.
It was just so magical, man. And I wish it could have lasted even longer than it did.
It felt like it just happened in a blink of an eye.
Once the drinks stopped being served, everyone kind of just starts to, you know,
mosey out. But, you know, thank you to everyone at MSG that allowed us to do this.
We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very
intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions. And we needed it to be a private
feel. So then MSG went above and beyond to give us that.
It's so weird to hear him say an intimate setting when you're in a 19,000 seat arena.
But to be fair, they decorated it to bring it in.
And also, it was basically a venue that had no windows and a lot of privacy because we haven't
seen any photos from the actual wedding. There haven't really been any leaks yet. And I think
that's what they're touching on is even though it was so gigantic and such a spectacle,
we really haven't seen much come from outside of it.
We don't see anything from outside.
Inside. You meant inside. We haven't seen any of the photos.
Anything from inside.
Inside the event. It was interesting to hear him say that they got kicked out.
Yeah.
Probably not everybody, but I imagine Jason probably was the last one out the door.
Yeah. And I'm sure they have a time limit. They must say four in the morning or something like
that. So, okay. And then they went on to talk about the officiant, which was the big surprise.
Yeah. I think everyone was surprised because I didn't know that they were
tight like that. But here's what he had to say about Adam Sandler.
A special thank you to the Adam Sandler.
Oh my gosh.
He has been just the best person on this planet. And for him to be up for
getting ordained in the state of New York and marrying me and Taylor.
Yeah.
And the way he did it in the very Sandman style and giving us more than we could have ever
imagined in that moment, knowing that it was the biggest night of both of our lives.
It was absolutely insane, man.
Did they just get tight from just happy Gilmore too?
That's what-
I guess so.
That's what I heard. They met there and they-
Yeah. It seems kind of like out of left field, but from people that we spoke to that were there
at the wedding, they just said it was electric. That Adam Sandler, he did a rap basically about
both Taylor and Travis and their relationship. And there were some tears, there were some laughter,
and he just did overall a great job. But yeah, I think that was for sure the biggest surprise.
All right. Well, I'm glad we got that all covered now.
What about football?
Our chat-
What about football?
Our chat said that. They were like, when does this podcast ever talk about football?
It's all Taylor Swift.
It's all these two great football players.
When is it going to be football?
Two incredible football players. Football season's about to start.
Nothing.
Seems like maybe you might want to talk a little football.
Hi, my name's Imani from San Diego, California. And I mean, come on guys. It's nice to see a man
gush over his woman and his wife and his wedding. I mean, we can't just talk all football. This was
a huge moment for this couple. And I think that they had a really iconic wedding and I'm happy
for them. I think that he should be able to gush over his wife and talk a little football too.
Okay. I got to give her some advice.
Oh no.
You got a magnetic thing on your refrigerator back there.
Magnets.
Yeah. Magnets.
If I'm looking at it right. Here's the thing. That's a gateway,
that you're going to start putting pictures up on this thing.
That she has a photo up there. Yes.
No, no, no. But then kids are going to draw stuff and you're going to start putting all
these pictures up and it's going to be a mess. I just want to let you, warn you on this.
My magnets. It's a collage of me.
Ah, see. Yeah. Hey, Charlie, do you hear that?
Charlie's got the same one.
I got to tell you, three strikes and you're out. There have been two strikes right now
in the Lindsay Clancy jury. They have come back again today, just as we're speaking.
I don't know what's going to happen later in the day, but as we speak,
the jury has just come back to the judge for a second time, said,
we are unable to reach a verdict. The judge said, sorry, go back, try again.
If it happens three times. They do get another chance, right?
And then the judge has to give that chance. This is the last one?
Yeah. There's only two chances. So they've already used the two chances right now. And it's,
he is quoting the Tui Rodriguez charge, which is just in the state of Massachusetts.
The judge gets two tries only. And then if they come back again, that's it. It's over.
I'm not going to say this is like a prediction market thing or whatever,
but everything I know in this case, they are not going to reach a verdict.
That you've got people entrenched. They are on different sides. And when you look at something,
it's not like a shade here and a shade there. It's fundamentally different that if there are
some people who think it's murder and some people who think it's insanity, how do you meet?
They're not going to meet in the middle and say, ah, manslaughter. It seems like they're dug in.
That's what everybody has been saying too. That it's, I think everybody has different opinions
and it's just, they're consistently fighting throughout the entire time. Also reporters
keep saying that the jury looks very frustrated. They look very unhappy.
It's been a very long trial. And they're almost 29 hours.
Right. And they've been deliberating for so long.
And look, we're going to hopefully hear something when the jury ultimately gets dismissed.
But I got to say that this is not a thing where people don't kind of feel a stake in it.
That these are core values that a lot of these jurors are going to feel.
And when you have those core values clash, there's going to be argument.
There's going to be at times fiery argument and animosity.
But nobody's going to back down at this point. They've all, from all reports from people in
the courtroom, the jury, all the jurors have been paying very close attention to all the evidence.
So it's not like they're suddenly going to, someone's going to say in the deliberation room,
oh, but do you remember this? Yeah, they remember it and they've already reached their decision.
I don't see how you convince someone to change their vote.
And the point I was making is, I think that it takes a toll on jurors
when there is that kind of animosity, you know, over a long period of time.
And it's the fifth day. They've been going at it for 28, almost 29 hours right now.
We have nine women, three men that are on the jury that are deliberating.
And I think maybe even the women on the court could be, or excuse me, on the jury could be
maybe moms. Maybe they're the ones who's feeling very passionate about this.
But I will say if they end up having to retry her, because I don't think the DA
is going to walk away from this. I think we'll give them less options.
They got to give them less options. And I really think that's going to happen.
They give them less options if there is a mistrial and they do decide to try her again.
This is just a question. Is it going to be hard for them to be able to find,
because this case has just polarized, that are going to be able to not be,
that haven't seen this, that don't know the story, that don't already have an opinion.
Everybody has an opinion. Having an opinion does not disqualify you.
It's having an opinion that you can set aside. And there are enough people who may have opinions,
but the key is, can you set it aside?
What's interesting, they will find jurors. They always do.
But those jurors will know what they're in for as far as, this is going to be a long time.
This is not going to be a-
Well, that's why they've got to make fewer options.
Well, and that could also be, this has been going on for five weeks now. So
maybe the second trial, if there is a second trial, if it is a mistrial, it could be shorter.
There's still going to be all that evidence.
There's going to be all that evidence, but-
They're going to still present evidence.
All the evidence still has to be presented.
Our chat is wondering if there is a second trial, or when there is a second trial,
is there a break in between, like a long time-
Oh, there'll be a long break. Yes.
For them to find new jury and everything.
There will be a break. It'll be interesting.
By the way, she'll be held in custody though.
Her lawyer said yesterday that he doesn't know she can handle a second trial. It sounds like
she is just spinning from this.
She's not going to handle a second trial. Does that mean that she would possibly take a plea deal?
Possibly.
That is something that you should be seriously thinking about.
Coming up, the TMZ DC crew uncovered something a lot of people probably don't know about a
congressman from New York. Mike Lawler, long before he was in Congress, was working with
a biographer. And while he was doing that, ended up in the middle of Michael Jackson's
criminal trial in 2005.
At one point, he got kicked out of the courtroom.
Be right back.
The TMZ DC crew uncovered something a lot of people probably don't know about a congressman
from New York. Mike Lawler, long before he was in Congress, was working with a biographer.
And while he was doing that, ended up in the middle of Michael Jackson's criminal trial
in 2005.
So it's interesting. Mike Lawler, the congressman from New York, actually came out to California
to go to Loyola Marymount. And while he was there, he started working with a biographer.
And that's when Michael Jackson was on trial in Santa Maria for allegedly molesting
a boy in the Arvizo family. And he was there watching it. And by the way,
at one point, he got kicked out of the courtroom.
I did not know until this break that you are like a Michael Jackson
scam. You actually went to his trial.
I did. I was working with J. Randy Terraparelli at the time. He was a CBS news reporter,
and I was doing research for him. Look, it was obviously a very interesting experience.
And ultimately, he was acquitted.
Do you think the jury got it right?
Look at all the evidence that was presented in that trial in 2005.
They came to a unanimous verdict on all the cases.
So he went on to say that when Janet Arvizo, the boy's mother, testified,
she had talked about a wild story about Michael wanting to kidnap the family.
Right.
And Randy, under his breath, said, yeah, right, lady. And the judge heard it and threw him out
the courtroom.
And Randy got thrown out. Wow.
No, no. Mike got thrown out.
Oh, Mike said, yeah, right.
Mike said, yeah, right, lady.
Oh, at least. Okay.
And he got thrown out of the courtroom. But that was, I got to say, that was,
I don't know if you remember Tom Mesereau, who was the lawyer in that case.
Oh, yeah.
Really accomplished lawyer. That was a huge win for Michael Jackson. And it divided people.
It really divided people.
It really did. And, you know, and it's funny because even though he was acquitted,
it never-
It never stopped.
Right. Ever since then, there's, oh, anytime you bring up Michael, and to this day,
there are still people, it never reached a level of canceling Michael Jackson. I think people tried.
That didn't happen. But there are still people who will say, like, oh, I don't,
I don't want to listen to that because of-
But also before-
And then after this, then you had the allegations that
were still haunting him with other people.
But before Arvizo, there was Jordan Chandler. And that was in the 90s. And Michael Jackson
settled that case for around $20 million. The amount kind of varies depending on who you're
listening to. But a lot of people felt, well, that's proof of guilt. And the Jackson position
was, no, this is a settlement because we don't want to go to trial.
It's going to be really interesting. You know, they're doing the second
part two of Michael.
They said they're going to bring it up.
They said that it's going to be brought up. So that is going to be really interesting.
But you know how it's going to be brought up. I mean-
But if you bring it up and then you very obviously sort of whitewash it.
I'm not even saying whitewash. I think they're going to paint the Arvizo family a certain way.
It's going to be interesting to see what they do with Jordan Chandler.
Well, they can't. Remember, that's why they can't mention him at all. That's
why they had to reshoot the first one.
Because there was a confidentiality in the settlement.
It's probably only going to be Arvizo.
Unless they make up a phantom.
Sort of an amalgam character.
Hi, my name is Kim Gonzalez. I'm in Ontario, California. It's nice to see these
political influencers, I mean representatives, get some pop culture issues right. I mean,
it's cute. I agree with him with respect to the Michael Jackson 2005 verdict.
He was correctly and unanimously acquitted on all 14 counts, 10 felonies, 4 misdemeanors.
It's funny to hear someone refer to a congress member as a political influencer.
I think by definition, they kind of already are that.
Coming up.
Ariana Grande about to go on her big break. And the final night happened last night in London.
The other thing we've been seeing from Ariana is her spending a lot of time with Ricky.
And he got a shout out during the concert last night that...
I will say it's alarming.
It hints at what she might be doing on her break.
Be right back.
Ariana Grande about to go on her big break. She said she'd be taking a break from music
after her tour. And the final night happened last night in London.
Now, the other thing we've been seeing from Ariana in recent weeks is her spending
a lot of time with Ricky.
Ricky Alvarez.
Yes, her ex and now current boyfriend. And he got a shout out during the concert last night that...
I will say it's alarming.
It hints at what she might be doing on her break.
Songs about Ricky trying to make him my last.
Which is totally different from the original lyric, which is,
wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh.
So she was just with SpongeBob.
No, I wasn't ready to be mean to him.
But this was supposedly going to be the love of her life.
She was engaged to Pete Davidson.
She is the young version of Jennifer Lopez.
Married to Dalton.
She falls in love too fast.
And she doesn't understand still that you've got to let it ruminate for a while.
You say that and I just understand.
Mike, why?
If she's a lover girl and she loves being in relationships.
So, okay.
What's the big deal?
Go ahead and get divorced.
Break the engagement.
Wouldn't you want a different result eventually?
Yeah.
Like I get your point that she's a lover girl.
And she's hoping that...
And she's hoping.
I said earlier when her and Ricky were together before, they were young.
They were younger.
They were, you know, look how young.
They were kids.
They are now grown.
They've gone through relationships.
They've gone through engagements.
They've...
You ever heard the saying?
I know you don't believe it.
Diana Ross wrote a song.
And one of the lyrics was...
Did she actually write it?
Or did she perform a song?
Oh, well, she performed a song.
All right.
It was something like, you roll the dice, 7-Eleven.
You'll either break my heart or take me to heaven.
That's exactly the way she's looking at this.
Like, I'm just going to roll the dice.
And it doesn't work.
I feel like I'm at a teenage girl sleepover.
What was that?
Yeah, roll the dice.
But Harvey, you also...
You've told me many of times, if you don't take the risk, you don't get the reward.
Maybe Ariana's rolling the dice on these relationships in hopes that it's her last one.
Does she do it the same way every time?
She did it.
And you get the same results.
When did it work right?
Yeah.
When she was married.
She got divorced.
Yeah, got divorced very quickly.
After years.
Not years.
No, no.
As soon as COVID was over, they were done.
It was like that.
Well, and also, let's just also...
You guys are very sounding like Ariana's the problem.
We got it, we got it.
The men are the problem.
We won.
The men are the problem.
We won this, yes.
We won this.
Case has been settled.
We won this.
Hey, you guys.
How you doing?
My name is Theo.
I'm from Philly.
First of all, SpongeBob really took me out.
That was so funny.
But also, at the same time, I really want Ariana to kind of just take her time.
I feel like she's just jumping and jumping.
And I know you guys say she's like a lover girl, which I'm totally happy for her.
But at the same time, there has to be some stability.
She has to find out what she likes, what she doesn't like.
It probably is with Ricky, but I would love for her to kind of take her time.
We'll see.
Okay.
Coming up...
Everybody says that athletes can't hang it up.
That they retire and they got to get back into it.
They can't just be at home.
I think Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook, they seem to be relaxing very...
They're doing okay.
Yeah.
Be right back.
Everybody says that athletes can't hang it up.
That they retire and they got to get back into it.
They can't just be at home.
I think Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook, a couple of NBA legends and potential Hall of Famers,
they seem to be relaxing very...
They're doing okay.
Yeah.
They're enjoying retirement a lot.
They're on a yacht.
We don't know where that is, but they're on a yacht.
And they are playing basketball.
I love that they specifically got a yacht that had hard court so they could actually do something.
I mean, have you ever seen that?
I've never seen that.
That's crazy.
So they are having...
Got a lot of room there, man.
But they are still playing basketball.
Yeah.
I mean, they're still doing some drills, having some fun.
But if you can do that on a yacht, more power to you, man.
If you do it on a yacht, you might as well stay retired.
Nice what I say.
Life if you can get it.
Good for them.
See you tomorrow.
