Maya, a nutritionist and model, shares four easy and nutritious dessert recipes designed to satisfy sweet cravings without sacrificing health. By swapping traditional ingredients for nutrient-dense alternatives like oats, cottage cheese, and chia seeds, she demonstrates how to create treats that can serve as snacks, breakfasts, or desserts while maintaining a balanced diet.
Hi and welcome to my channel. I'm Maya and I'm a full-time model and a nutritionist and on this
channel I love sharing simple and healthy recipes that are actually delicious. And since you guys
really loved the previous healthy desserts video, it's time for part two. I have a pretty big sweet
tooth so I love finding the ways to make my desserts a little bit more nutritious without
taking away the fun. So today I'm making a few of my favorite healthier desserts that are perfect
when you're craving something sweet. Some of them can even work as a pre-workout snack or even a
little breakfast. Let's get into it. So we're starting strong with my favorite no-bake chocolate
brownie. Super easy, tastes like a real chocolate treat that will actually satisfy your sweet craving
and keep you fuller for longer. We're starting with one of my favorite ingredients for healthy
desserts, oats. They're cheap, versatile, filling and you can turn them into almost anything. I'm
also adding chia seeds for some extra fiber and healthy fats. Once we blend everything together
you won't even know they are there. Greek yogurt makes these brownies extra soft and creamy while
adding a little boost of protein. A little honey for sweetness but feel free to use any sweetener
you like. And cocoa powder for that rich chocolate flavor and a little antioxidant boost. And finally
vanilla protein powder for some extra protein. You can totally skip it and just use more oat flour
instead. And that's our brownie mixture done. Super simple. And of course on top we need some dark
melted chocolate. Now I will let it set in the fridge for around one hour and yeah our chocolate
brownie is almost ready. So good. Next we're making something very simple, apple cookies. These are
perfect when you have a few apples sitting around and you want to turn them into something sweet
without making a complicated dessert. I swear apples might be one of the most underrated
ingredients for healthy desserts. They're naturally sweet, full of fiber and they add so much moisture
and volume so you don't need tons of added sugar. I also like keeping the skin on because that's
where you will find a good amount of the fiber and antioxidants. I'm adding cinnamon, a pinch of salt
and walnuts because apples and cinnamon are obviously a match made in heaven. And the walnuts
give these cookies the best little crunch plus some healthy fats of course. I shaped them into
little cookies and I'm going to bake them until they're slightly golden. I really love this kind
of homemade simple desserts with the ingredients you can actually recognize. And of course homemade
doesn't automatically mean healthy but it means you have a control over what goes into it.
It turned out so nice. Cheers! So good.
Next we're going to be making I think my favorite dessert of today's video. A lemon cheesecake with
a crunchy oat base. It's refreshing, high in protein, tastes like a dessert that you can get
in a cafe so I'm excited. Molly's helping in the kitchen as always, right Molly?
So we got some complex carbohydrates and fiber from the oats, healthy fats from peanut butter
and some extra protein from the protein powder. And for the nice cream cheese taste we're going
to be using cottage cheese. If you're not a fan you can switch it up for greek yogurt for example.
I love a proper rich cheesecake but this version is lighter, incredibly creamy and still so
delicious. The secret ingredient cottage cheese. Once blended it becomes super smooth and creamy.
I'm adding just a little cream cheese to make the filling even richer. Then some fresh lemon
for that perfect cheesecake flavor. Creamy filling, crunchy oat base. Honestly what more do we need?
So all we have to do now is blend it till smooth. It looks so creamy. That one spoon of cream cheese
really does the job. And if you're not a fan of lemon you can use any of your favorite fruits.
And there we have it, a healthier lemon cheesecake. This is something I really love doing,
taking a classic dessert and simply changing the ingredients and proportions into something that
actually tastes so good and is a little better for you. Let's give it a try.
Trying to get all the layers. You still get that cheesecake experience, that creamy filling,
crunchy base. And adding a fresh fruit on top makes it even better. It tastes best when it
chills in the fridge for around one to two hours. But who has time for it? I just couldn't wait.
This one is going to be probably the easiest recipe in the entire video. We're going to be
making chocolate blueberry chia pudding. And all you have to do is put everything to a blender.
It's full of antioxidants, polyphenols. It's naturally sweet, dairy-free, gluten-free,
and it tastes so good. Banana, blueberries, cocoa powder, and chia seeds. That's literally it.
Blend everything together, let the chia seeds work their magic, and you have a rich,
chocolatey pudding in minutes. Healthy desserts really don't have to be complicated.
They can be easy, delicious, and actually packed with nutrients.
So we can eat it straight away, but personally, I like to chill it in the fridge for around
one, two hours because the consistency gets thicker and it's more pudding-like. And this
recipe is perfect if you're craving something chocolatey and you don't want to spend too much
time in the kitchen. So today we made four different healthier desserts. Now my fridge
is basically full, so I guess I'll be eating dessert for the next few days. I hope this
video reminded you that eating healthy doesn't have to be restrictive or boring. It's all about
finding that balance that actually works for you and that you can enjoy long-term. Let me know which
dessert you would try first, and if you want part three, because I already have a list full of ideas.
Thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you very soon in the next one.
