Eileen and I are thankful for friends and family all over the world who have been concerned about our well being amidst the Corona Virus outbreak; first, our hearts go out to the people impacted by this horrible virus and situation which we have learned from friends on the ground in Wuhan has spun out of control due to face-saving delays by the Chinese government. Here is our report/personal update from Koh Lipe and Koh Adang Island Thailand while on a sea kayak mini-adventure. Enjoy and thanks for watching! Please subscribe, like and share.
NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia.
So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too!
As a viewer, we consider you to be part of our family and look forward to getting to know you. Don't hesitate to comment on our videos and ask questions. We will do our best to answer every correspondence! All we ask is that you have patience with us as we work really hard to improve our camera/video techniques and ability to tell a story. Hopefully, you will be as BLOWN AWAY from watching, as we are in experiencing and producing our adventures!

Welcome to Brown and Eileen's Blown Away Coronavirus Update. But first, where are we
and how did we get here? This New Year vacation journey began in our home city of Qingdao, China
where we flew to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and then took a short flight to Langkawi. Next,
we took a short ferry to Koh Lipe, Thailand which is so small that it doesn't even show up on our
map. In this small episode, we are taking a sea kayak from our hotel on Koh Adong
to explore its national park campground. Hey sweetie. Hello. Look out there. There's where
we're staying, Koh Adong Island and there's Kalit. How are you doing babe? Good. Where are we? We are
on Koh Adong at the national park. Cool. There are campgrounds over there and campers, boats.
What did we just find out via WeChat today? Well, they're delaying the start of our school term.
We were supposed to return on the 3rd and now it's the 10th aligning with the public schools
and that is not definitive because we just don't know how serious the outbreak is. So when you say
not definitive, that is definite for that long but it may extend. Is that what you mean? Yes,
because I don't think our school will make a decision that's different than the government
decision for all public schools in Shandong province. So if the government schools don't
open our school, I don't think we'll open as well because there would be a reason for not opening.
Well, we feel real sorry for all the people that are in China, people that have this coronavirus.
It's not pleasant. Friends and a lot of friends who are stuck in their homes, not able to leave
their homes and afraid to leave their homes for coming into contact with people that might have
the virus. It's very serious. Yeah, and it's a tricky virus from what we hear. We'll find out more
as this evolves but from what we understand, some people can have it and not even realize
they have it. Some people can just have mild symptoms and then some people can die from it.
So that just makes it a lot more unpredictable. And you know, bad thing is people are suffering
right now. But the good thing is we have one more week of spring break, one last week.
Two more weeks left. All right, two more weeks left and one last week for sure of winter,
cold winter in China. So that's a good thing. We thank you for that and we'll just see how this
thing plays out and we'll update you guys with more information. But in the meantime,
we found a beautiful place here at this national park on the Dang Island and this just gives you
a view. And wow, just, I don't really want to leave. What about becoming Thai? Do you think
we ought to go from here? Well, I think we first need to contact the airlines and see
what options we have there. But our outbound flight is out of Kuala Lumpur. So maybe from
here we could go back to Langkawi, enjoy Langkawi for a couple of days, maybe a few extra days than
we thought, and then head south by train or bus to Penang. Ooh, I've heard good things about
Penang. Penang's a great place and amazing food and culture. So that's a possibility. And if you
like Penang, have been there, know some things to do and places to eat, please make some comments
down there. Help us out because we're just now learning. We didn't expect to go there.
So we have a few, we could have a few extra days there and then head back to KL and hopefully by
then we'll know. Are we starting on the 10th or has that been delayed again? We're not sure at
this point. So we're going to be real hesitant about booking that return outbound flight
because it may get pushed out. In the meantime, guys, we're going to go ahead and get this video
out. Yeah, we thank you for your emails and all of your prayers and all of the texts and WeChat
that we've received just for all of you thinking about us. And we're fine. Thank you. We're fine.
We're in an area that hasn't had any outbreaks or reported cases, even though there are a lot
of Chinese that are here. But we're hopeful that we won't encounter it. And yeah, please pray for
the people in China. Pray for all those who are afflicted to this. And all those that are taking
care of the people who are afflicted. They're also contracting the virus, which is very, very
deadly, especially on second contraction. So as it's being passed along. You guys get you
some surgical masks and some rubber gloves and be safe now. Okay. We love you all. Love you. Oh,
and in the meantime, if you love this video and other if you love us, you love us and please
