Who has the best Italian Beef in Chicago? #Chicago #ChicagoFood #ChicagoFoodie #WhereToEat #Italian #ChiTown
Come with me as we check out Mr. Beef on Chicago's River North Side,
a famous local hole-in-the-wall that is now a TV series. I just got my sandwich. I did not wait in
there very long. It is three o'clock. Mr. Beef closes at four. I got my Italian beef dips,
or you can say juicy, with hot peppers, Giadara. I spent $9.32. If you pay cash, it's just $9.
If you use a card, they're going to go ahead and charge you that little extra, so it's 32 cents.
This is how it comes. I ordered the juicy. Basically, what they do is they take your
sandwich and they dip it in the ajou. As I'm unraveling it, I can smell it right now.
Oh my goodness. This is juicy. Here is the sandwich. It's huge.
I like to take a bite of the meat first. It's very, very, very tender.
Nicely seasoned. It's juicy. Let's see. This is delicious. I've had so many Italian beef dip
where my bread just falls apart. This is wonderful because the bread is so sturdy.
The bread is so sturdy. It soaks up all the juice, but it don't fall apart.
Then you have the Giadara on there to give it the crunch. I'll take another bite. I would definitely
say of all the Italian beefs that I have eaten and getting it dipped, the bread is what does
it for me. Look at this. It's still holding. My sandwich is not falling apart. That's exactly
what you want. You want it juicy without your sandwich falling apart.
Different Giadara mixes have different vegetables. You might see some with carrots.
You might see some with cauliflower. It's all pickled. Their Giadara has celery. That celery
gives you that crunch that you need. This sandwich is delicious. The customer service,
they're very friendly. The food is delicious. They're quick. I ate out of 10. Mr. Beefs.
Look at that. That sandwich is loaded. Loaded. Ate out of 10.
