In Episode 96 of Going Rogue with Lara Logan, Bre Pirch reveals what has been happening inside the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) as the historic women’s organization faces a battle over its membership policies and the inclusion of transgender women.

Bre has spoken out about the policy, the treatment of members who oppose it and the potential safety concerns for young women involved with the organization. As a result, she says she has faced hate mail, public attacks and threats of legal action intended to make her surrender and remain silent.

Lara tells Bre that being attacked is never easy. When you are standing in the eye of the storm, the pressure can feel like a tsunami coming from every direction. That is exactly the point. They want you emotional, overwhelmed and off balance.

Her advice is simple: when the wave of surrender comes, call someone who will remind you why you started and tell you to keep going. Just do not call Lara expecting soft love. Expect a tough pep talk about 1776.
