We have this update in terms of a trade package It's been talked about rumored from the New York Knicks So essentially the value that's being gathered out there for Kevin Durant is, you know OG and OE Mitchell Robinson in 2027 first you might look at that especially without the Suns were this season be like Oh, that's a lot of value the Raptors to match that type of deal in terms of getting Kevin Durant But you look at how good KD has been the season I mean, it doesn't look that absurd in terms of value if you just look at the stats because 27 points per game six rebounds four assists 43% from the three-point line and 50% Yes 50% out there on corner threes. Yes He is 36 years old gonna be 37 next season He is an older player who's dealt with some injuries and didn't make the playoffs last year so I get why a lot of people are gonna be frustrated by the packages that are gonna be the ones that Are the only ones are able to get this deal done for KD out there in this scenario, but KD is still really really good He's still a phenomenal basketball player and a guy that really just you know You insert him in the team and it's depending on what you value what you're looking for and all that type of stuff But you have Ingram you have Scotty you have KD on your team. That is an absolutely ferocious offensive lineup So you have those reports and then on top of it, you know, we take a look at this this report here Essentially the Phoenix Suns are prioritizing acquiring a center in Kevin Durant trade talks The Suns have indicated teams that a center is at a premium for them in any KD trade discussions he might stick around but the biggest interest in solving the center position which has been a Disaster for Phoenix since they moved away from DeAndre Ayton So the Suns are looking for a center a previous report indicate they're looking to recover some draft packet capital That's why the Rockets were always linked because they have a bunch of the Phoenix Suns picks So these are all things that are kind of being discussed being talked about in terms of Kevin Durant trade discussions And now you can insert the Raptors into this discourse So what would the Toronto Raptors have to give up and this might be? Sickening to people and it's gonna be frustrating to me because these are two of my favorite guys But in terms of trade package, you won't having to include Scotty. So what are we looking at for a realistic Kevin Durant trade? Well, it's going to be RJ Barrett Yakup hurdle and a first-round pick you can get weird with multi-team deals you can get weird with different stuff so we get more value back because that feels like a very lopsided trade in terms of Ages of players and in terms of you know What the upside is because Katie has dealt with some injuries and stuff But it is still Kevin Durant and the first pick which is the number nine overall selection So this is a tough pill to swallow if you're making this deal because we look at this and you see first Yakup hurdle The Suns are interested in getting a center and Yakup hurdle as a centerpiece in this deal would definitely be What they are looking for in terms of a piece coming back So 15 points per game 10 rebounds 3 assists Yakup hurdle has been an absolute monster been one of the most underrated centers in the entire NBA Yakup hurdle would be an absolute gem for the Phoenix Suns to pick up So you have Yakup hurdle, of course RJ Barrett. I've been screaming from the mountaintops Don't trade him all offseason unless it's from a superstar Katie gets on that line in terms of where you have to think really hard about dealing away RJ Barrett But 21 points per game 6 rebounds 5 assists. I'd still be very frustrated This is the whole package that's going to be going out for the Toronto Raptors And of course at number 9 overall pick which again the Suns want that draft capital So that's that's something that you have to deal with there in terms of getting out if you're going to go after Kevin Durant and the Thing about it is usually Ideally be like one of these good players one of these traffics and then a bad contract the Raptors don't really have any bad Contracts to fire into the Sun out there and to fire in the Sun to fire into the Phoenix Suns as you know You have Brendon Ingram. You have maybe Emmanuel quickly if you prefer to trade him over RJ That's a piece that could be going out that you know Might be a better that an easier pill to swallow for Toronto Raptors fans You have Scotty Barnes Grady Dick Ochai Abadji like the role players you'd insert into this deal in terms of Ochai Abadji Jacoby Walter Jonathan Mobo Jamal shed James about they're not matching a ton of salary So it's not a lot of value there and then your big contracts like PJ Tucker Which is still randomly on this team and Chris Boucher. They are expiring contracts It's a tough position for the Toronto Raptors being because dealing away Yaka pearl if we don't get a center back Then that gets a messy messy situation at our center spot now if you can go out this offseason and Masai Ujiri can do some finessing and acquire a Nas read to play the center position for this team That's a whole nother story for the Toronto Raptors Then you're more willing to deal away Yaka pearl if you're more Believing in you know an older Shamsha to come up and be in the mix that that could be good or I mean if you Can keep that number nine overall selection give a future draft pick up away and then have a common malwatch on your team Then things can get there's a lot of options there for the Toronto Raptors to fool around with and figure this out for the future So again, we're in the very early stages of this this news just broke it I was on a hike and I said, you know what?
