This video is a must watch for anyone who has jaw clicking or popping, you're grinding your teeth
at night, or you have tension near the ears or headaches that start at the temples. And if you
are experiencing these signs or symptoms, most importantly, you want to change that naturally
and without having to do any cosmetic procedures or invasive procedures. Today I'm going to talk
to you about TMJ or chronic jaw tension and what it means and how it affects your face and aging
processes. I'm going to share with you several non-obvious reasons why you have tightness in
your jaw and why it reshapes your lower face. I'll also show you three exercises that you
can begin today and it will help you correct this pattern. So make sure to watch this video
till the end. And before we begin, if you really value this educational content, please make sure
to subscribe to my channel and like this video. So let's talk about TMJ and what does TMJ mean
from a structural perspective. TMJ is not only about joint issue, it's also about a tension
pattern. When our masseter muscles, which are our chewing muscles, and surrounding structures
become tight, they accumulate tension, they start to cause all the symptoms that I mentioned in the
beginning of this video. So if you're the type of person that wakes up with tightness in your jaw,
or you have headaches because of the tightness in your jaw, or you tend to clench or tighten your
jaw when you're stressed or anxious, even when you're sleeping at night, this indicates to us
that your jaw muscles are tight and they need relaxation. Everyone with chronic jaw tension
actually has a shortened or compressed neck. If you're not sure if that's you, look at yourself
in the mirror or just observe people when they're walking. You will notice that a lot of people are
slouching their backs, their necks move towards the front, or sometimes their shoulders move towards
the top and you experience short neck and tightness in the neck area. When this happens, our neck is
connected to our jaw. Everything in our body is interconnected. So if you tend to have neck
tightness, most likely it also contributes to tightness in your jaw area. So before we do any
exercises for the jaw area today, make sure that you're also focusing on your posture and when
you're looking at your phone, make sure to bring your phone towards your eye level when you are
searching the internet. The second non-obvious cause of tightness in your jaw is nervous system
overload. When you are tensing or clenching your jaw, often it's a subconscious protection. When
the nervous system is overstimulated, when we experience a lot of stress or multitasking, or we
emotionally suppress ourselves, the jaw becomes a brace. But here's what people don't realize. Chronic
bracing decreases circulation, it also decreases lymphatic movement, and it increases density in
the lower part of our face. So for people who have tension in their jaw because of stressful situations,
they notice that their face looks heavier, they have a lot of tightness in their jaw, and maybe
sometimes even clicking when they're opening and closing their mouth. And very few people talk
about the fact that it's actually our nervous system that becomes overloaded. So when you will
do a couple of face fitness routines today, you will notice how not only your jaw becomes more relaxed,
but also your brain will feel much lighter and less stressed. So a lot of people ask me if it's
to change or improve our aging signs at the age of 50 or 40 or 60. My answer is yes. And by the way,
let me know in the comments how old are you, and what issues you would like me to help you with,
because I have so many videos planned for you, and I want to make sure that they're helpful for you,
and the techniques that I'm preparing will help you transform your face naturally. For today's
exercise that is going to focus on releasing tension in our jaw, we're going to release it by
using our knuckles. We're going to place them under our cheekbones, our mouth will be slightly open,
and we're going to move our knuckles from side to side under our cheekbones, staying close to our
ears, because this is where our chewing muscles are located. If you don't know where your chewing
muscles are located, you can place your hands on both sides of your ears, and clench and relax
your teeth couple of times. You'll feel the bulging sensation, this is where your chewing muscles are.
So you're going to keep your mouth open, and vibrate like this from side to side,
releasing tension in chewing muscles. Then you're going to move slightly more downwards, and repeat
while breathing, inhaling through your nose, exhaling through your mouth, and the same at the
bottom of your face. Once you finish, use your knuckles and glide straight down towards your
jawline like this. If it's too painful, you can use the backs of your fingers to glide downwards.
Once you finish, notice how your face is responding, and how your mind is responding as well. This is
one exercise, let's keep going. The second exercise, we're going to use our index finger, we're going to
place it under our cheekbone, our head is going to lean slightly towards the front, and with our mouth
open, we're going to glide our index finger down towards our thumb, on top of our chewing muscle.
And as you're doing this, make sure that all the other facial muscles are relaxed,
you're not moving your shoulders up, your feet are on the floor, you are breathing. This is the second
exercise, you can do both sides at the same time, and notice how maybe one side is tighter than the
other, and you can stay a bit longer on that particular side that is tighter for you. And the
last exercise for jaw tension, we're going to do it by placing our hands on our cheeks like this,
with our mouth slightly open, we're going to dive into our cheeks, and then lower our hands slightly
towards our jawline, and hold this position. Letting the muscles stretch, and let go of the tension.
Keep your eyes closed, and you might notice that your hands start to glide downwards, because your
muscles become more and more relaxed, and at the end you're going to press into your chewing muscles,
and glide your fingertips until your jawline. And that's all for these three exercises, I recommend
you to practice them daily for at least 30 seconds each, and let me know about your results afterwards.
Thank you so much for watching this video, and stay until the end, and I can't wait for you to
experience this transformation naturally. Bye!
