It is moving day here.
Round number four here at the 2026 PDGA Professional Disc Golf
World Championships, presented by First Form.
We are going back to the toboggan.
And we saw fireworks from two players
that are right there at the top, and one player
extremely at the top.
Evelina Salonen, 11 under par, her first time
seeing that course in competition.
And here she is, eight shots up, going back to that course.
Three of the four players did not get it inbounds.
It's kind of an opening.
Forsh.
Yes.
That's her par.
A big day for the field.
Chasing down Salonen.
Here they go.
Missy.
Wouldn't that have been exciting?
What a drive by.
And I would have argued, if that went in,
way better ace than the forehand we saw from Gannon Burr.
The backhand turnover, that's going
to be your Barbasol close shave replay.
Oh my gosh.
Oh, so close.
And she's played this hole so well.
And same game plan.
You're never going to see a forehand from Missy here.
It's always going to be this technical elevation shot.
And that is Evelina's flippiest destroyer in her lineup.
And that is way up the hill, still flipping.
Biggest shot that we've seen on hole two.
Just the cherry on the sundae right there.
Putting the pressure right back on Missy.
And it is going to find the out of bounds.
Just trickling right.
Now for her second.
And a circle one look for the Swede.
8.92.
Silva now finally to her lie.
And she gets the flare.
And she's going to have a chance to go four down through three.
And now Missy.
Evelina under the basket.
Got it.
Two down.
Yeah.
Exciting.
What an exciting start.
Evelina found the hazard.
Missy a little bit obstructed on the top of this ridge.
But she's safe.
She actually has decent footing at the top of this little ridge.
But she's not going to attack the pin.
She's playing this for a long look.
Maybe 60, 70 feet short left.
Yeah, just a one, two.
Oh, but she's gliding this out a bit.
It's running.
She's going to have a look.
Aggression from the chaser.
A chance for Eagle.
And she can also get to the four down through three mark
with Evelina in the hazard.
And just so much power built into her form.
Don.
Oh, yeah.
That is well earned right there from the Canadian.
Yulia on five.
463 downhill.
Oh, what a delight.
What a throw.
With her being so young, the sky is the limit out there.
Handley chopping one up the hill.
Missy slowing down here.
The luxury of throwing the shot she did off the tee.
Missy is dialed in, doing exactly what she needed to do.
Come out hot, put some pressure on Evelina.
Evelina for par.
Missy even closer.
A drop in to get her to five down through four holes.
Going into the fifth.
Bounce off that white oak down there by the green.
Evelina can get one back here.
And that's going to do it.
Little helicopter next to the pin.
Great adjustment.
This was Evelina's only bogey in round two at the toboggan.
Hey, Yulia.
What a shot.
OK, Rebecca's been going flippy wraith.
Great wraith shot on three, and then again on five.
Also a lot of angle.
Getting back on hyzer.
It's tracking the pin.
This is a beauty.
It's got to get that skip.
It will.
Wow, I bet that looked close from the tee pad.
Just a few feet short of finding metal.
Tricky wind on the tee of nine.
But Rebecca Dahn, absolute perfection.
What a play.
Great adjustment off of the other two competitors
that came before her.
Missy, got to get this one.
A bogey.
Back to back on nine and 10.
And Salonen now looking to hit a birdie from here.
What is going to be a pressure putt
if Missy could have just landed that approach?
And she got it.
Two shot swing on 10.
That's three in the last two.
They are guarded up on the tee.
But as soon as they get around the corner,
that disc is going to hit that head right to left.
This is inside, and it punches through.
It's fortunate to get through, and it's tracking.
Look at the ride out the wind.
It is 20 feet away.
11 meters.
To grab one back.
Put it in.
Big time right there.
Giving up three strokes in the last two holes to get one back.
Game is still on.
That was a solve.
Holland, a former power lifter, a former college volleyball
player.
Actually, a player that still lifts heavy while on tour.
She definitely has every bit of power to do that here.
Here it is.
Tracking.
Caught up on the right side, but should be a relatively simple
up and down.
Missy under the basket.
Very simple three on a hole that feels like anything
other than a birdie.
It's not acceptable.
Missy, got to put some pressure on.
That looks really good inside the circle.
Don will hop, skip, and a jump over the barricade.
Chance for birdie for her as well.
Let's take a look.
She should have to try to do that again for $1 million.
Where's Powerball at?
Holland still trying to battle for position on the lead card.
She's now in sixth.
This is for birdie.
Got it.
That's a big putt right there.
Sardin.
Death putt.
She's still at seven.
And you know she wants to put on a show on Sunday.
She has a chance to make the lead card.
Here we go, the home stretch.
And it's officially crunch time brought to you
by our friends at 1010 Discs.
Commercial free the rest of the show.
I mean, at this point, you could put a blindfold on her, Des.
This is why she's in the lead right now.
Her ability just to step up and continually power rope shots.
Sardin gets the birdie.
That's going to be eight down in the day for your world number
one, trying to make her way to the lead card.
Currently, with that birdie, she's in that spot.
And here she goes.
There's the flippy destroyer.
You know she's going for it.
And she's up there.
She does it again.
Beckett's got about 162 towards the pin.
Does have to throw it about 200.
Just like that.
Missy grabs the par.
That was big.
It really was.
What a hillside to have to putt on.
Great job using the straddle.
We talk about it a lot on the hillside,
using a straddle to keep your balance.
Take a look at this again.
Left it short.
Knew she had to get that one.
Evelina inside the circle, putting for eagle.
And it will just be a birdie.
Her lead will go back to eight.
The same number she started the round with.
And there is a little bit of a roll away
that just happened from that miss, though.
We will see.
Yes.
She takes her time.
She resets.
And a really confident stroke of the basket.
Silva.
A birdie gets her a spot in the lead card.
And that's going to do it right there.
We will see tomorrow.
Solid and final tee shot.
She's just in the pocket.
And it's just fabulous to watch when an athlete can just
excel and hit right at the right time.
I'm going to let Evelina toss.
And then I got Nate Heinold here with me.
She's going forehand.
It's high again.
Oh, it's going to go over the oak branch.
Track in the bucket.
Just passed it.
Another short one for Evelina.
1,000 tickets between yesterday and today.
And so it is happening.
How do you feel like your infrastructure is really
holding up?
No one's fell off of it, at least.
No one's gotten hurt.
But no, we're hearing nothing but amazing things.
Salonen at 21.
Now Holland, her third shot to the pin.
A birdie here from Salonen will stretch the lead to nine.
Rebecca Don, a chance to tie Gannon in second place.
And she does it.
What a day for the young Canadian.
Eight down.
Yeah, so smooth.
Just eight down.
Really smooth effort.
Her previous best major finish was eighth place.
And a birdie for the leader after all that back and forth
stretches the lead by one.
Whew.
Let me do that one, too.
I didn't think we would come to that
where Elie was going to have one stroke after that hot start
by Missy.
But man, she just really clutched up when it mattered.
