AI GeneratedJenna shares her strategy for sourcing budget-friendly, timeless fall decor from Michaels and At Home. By selecting high-end \"dupes\" and neutral, heirloom-style pieces, she demonstrates how to build a curated seasonal collection that blends seamlessly with rustic antiques to create a cozy, elevated atmosphere without a complete home overhaul.
Hey there everyone, my name is Jenna. Welcome or welcome back to the channel.
In today's video, we are going to go shopping for some fall decor because once a year during the
fall season, I like to go peruse through some of the stores and see if there's any pieces that I
can add to my fall decor collection. I personally really like to slowly source over time versus
buying a whole haul of trendy decor. I like to just acquire a couple of items every single year
to help build on my collection. Things that feel very timeless, really elevated and of course are
budget friendly. So we're going to go through some budget friendly stores today and I'm going to
point out some pieces that have a much more high end elevated feel to them and I'll give you styling
tips and decorating ideas with what we see in the store and then we'll come back home and I'll show
you guys a little haul of the pieces that I found and how I'm planning to style them. So I hope you
all enjoy and without further ado, let's go sourcing. Okay so first off is Michaels and there's
actually something that I want to see if they have in here so let's go ahead and see if they
got it. Okay so look at this. This is a little acorn cloche candle. So this top part is actually
a cloche and I've told you guys in so many videos how I love these figural candles. They're just
perfect to pop next to the decor that you already have so they give things a festive feel while not
having to like redo everything or like buy a ton of decor and I love pieces like this that are just
very simple. I love amber glass so this is a really really beautiful one. Okay they also have
a cloche pumpkin as well and I'm having a hard time deciding. Oh I like them both and then also
these little candle lamps are precious with the etched glass detail on there. I like how you have
both the cream and then more of like the deeper amber color. This to me just screams fall. Like
this on a little side table in a living room or something. That is adorable. They also just have
the little regular ceramic candles and these are so cute to reuse the canister when you're done.
Oh and these actually smell pretty good too. I love how it's like kind of more of a cream color
versus a white. Just adds more of that warmth in there for fall and they also come with these cute
little gold leaf charms which I like. Also too I love that they have these little wick trimmers.
I actually found one of these a while back on Magee and Co and I bought it and I use it every
single time I burn a candle. I just use it to trim off the excess wick and then it's nice because then
the soot doesn't like shoot everywhere and I love this kind of like aged brassy look and they look
really pretty just styled in like a tray or whatever. Just kind of a fun little elevated
accessory to have on a coffee table. They have these fall scented pine cones for four dollars
and this is exactly what I love to just use as bowl filler you know on a dining table just pop
it in a bowl and the smell is so nice and it just makes things feel very autumnal and cozy
but still relating everything back to nature and feeling really natural. I love these little woven
tabletop decor pieces. They do have a hole in the bottom so you could put like a little candle in
here and I bet it would just kind of give it this beautiful cozy glow. I like that they have two
different shapes so you could kind of style these together on like a shelf or something. You could
even get two of these squash ones and then have like three of these along a tablescape that would
be really beautiful especially with the candles inside. They feel festive but still feel very
elevated and natural just something you find at like a designer shop. I also found that they do
have like this little shorter one too like how cute is that just styled on a table or like a
I love that and I love that you have the ability to put the candles inside too. If you have a plate
wall and you like to swap things out for the seasons this could be kind of a fun one for
fall to incorporate those brown tones in there definitely gives off more of a vintagey feel. Okay
so I love that they have a lot of these like fairy tale faux pumpkins and I mean not every one of
these looks very realistic but there's a couple of them that I would personally source and these
would be great to use outside like you know on a little doorstep you could layer these. This is a
really good one this just looks very authentic to me here let me show you. Okay like these three
mixed together I love the look of this with the color combo and the shapes and also Pottery Barn
sells like a pack of like faux gourds and I've seen them in person and I actually feel like these
look a little better like I think that these look a little bit more realistic with the coloring and
everything. They also have some smaller ones on this side and I love this like little green and
creamy peach colored one. This one is cute too and then also they have like a smaller cream too.
It's nice to have size variation when you're doing like a collection. Okay I just came over here and
grabbed one of these large scallop baskets and I just put these three in there and like this was
like some moss or some candles around it. They don't fit in here perfect I kind of had to finagle
them but I think it looks kind of pretty when you have these like heirloom pumpkins and more of
like the neutral colors and then you can add some little fairy lights or some moss like some Spanish
moss in here. Oh my gosh these little pine cone string lights are adorable this would be gorgeous
just strung along the center of a dining table for like a tablescape for the holidays or even
like woven throughout a wreath or something. Oh I just love that they're little pine cones and they
light up that is adorable. They have so much stuff if you're into decorating for like Halloween
and spooky season. Every year I tell myself I'm gonna do it and the season just comes at me so
quickly and it's all I can do just to get fall out in time so it ends up usually passing me by
but every year I tell myself I'm gonna do it and then I don't have enough time or I don't have
enough planning really and I don't really have much Halloween decor but I would like to start
maybe next year will be my year. I think that they have so much fun stuff here just if you're
into doing that. At a different Michael's a couple weeks ago I did find these really pretty kind of
like woven look hats like they were like witch's hats and I thought that they were so cute I almost
got one and I was hoping that they'd have them here today so I could show you but I don't see
them but those would be really cute just as a little styling piece for Halloween. Okay this is
actually adorable. So this is modeled after an old brick mold so if you go to antique stores a
lot of them will have these like vintage wooden brick molds and it's actually what they used
to make bricks back in the day so this looks exactly like that but it's a little box which
is so sweet and actually I think they did a really good job at making this look vintage
because the iron on this looks to be like rusted and old but clearly it is manufactured to be a
new piece but they did a really good job at giving it a vintagey look and this just styled on a shelf
or even to use to hold some craft or art supplies would be so chic and so elevated. I feel like I
might need to get this because I really love the look of it. Okay so I did not know that they had
this Wizarding World cookbook. This is so fun especially for like a gift or something for
somebody who loves Harry Potter. This would be so fun for like a party or something or like if you
do like a cookbook club. Oh my gosh how fun. Next we're gonna check out at home because I usually
find some cute stuff here so I wanted to pop in and see if there's anything good decor wise. I
know I showed you guys some nice faux florals that gave off a very realistic look so I want to see
if we can find any good decor in here because usually you can find some gems that are very
budget-friendly that look more expensive like they look like the Pottery Barn Crate and Barrel stuff
but it's just for way better prices here. So these pillows are great for the fall season and just
really all season long honestly. I love this kind of like four corner stitch and they actually sell
a very similar pillow on Pottery Barn but this one is only $24.99 and it has kind of like a faux
linany backing. I believe this is removable here with this zipper so this could be a great option
if you have pets or you just aren't willing to invest in an expensive leather pillow but you
still want the same look. I feel like it actually does look and feel pretty nice and this color is
beautiful for fall as well. So look at this little marble box. I love this color marble. It has some
of like those reddish burgundy tones in there and this would be really pretty just to kind of hold
trinkets or something in a bathroom especially for the fall season with those really pretty like
warm fall colors and it's only $20. I also love these little pomegranate like faux brass
trinket dishes. This to me looks very expensive. I will say it does say on here it's not food safe
so I wouldn't put anything like earrings or food in here or like nuts but it could be cute for like
keys by a door or you know some little matches or something to light candles and it's only $7.99.
Okay this chocolate brown leaf garland is kind of intriguing. I don't know how I feel about it if
this texture doesn't make it look lifelike but it is only eight dollars which is pretty good.
If you're just looking for like a cheap fall garland that has some realistic color to it
I don't know. It's kind of pretty in here. You should go take it and put it on a table and see
what we think. Okay so let's try putting it on this oval table just to kind of see. Like obviously
you'd need several if you had a table this big but if you're just like putting it around something
like a vase or whatever I don't know like that's kind of cute. Obviously this is not a vase but you
have to use your imagination. I do think that the color is really beautiful like this is a really
nice kind of like rusty colored leaf. Those chocolate browns in there I mean for eight bucks
it's pretty good actually. You put some little fairy lights in here it's kind of pretty. They
also have these and I can't decide if I feel like they're too pigmented or not but if you like a
little punch of color these are actually kind of fun. I love the color variation in them that's for
sure. They look very natural in how they fade and like the different colors on the leaf with all the
rusts and the greens. Sometimes with stuff like this if I'm unsure I'll take it over to the vase
section and then I'll put it in a vase that looks like something that I already have at home and
I'll see if it kind of goes with the vibe or not. Okay so I'm on my way to go grab a vase but I'm
passing like the furniture section and look at the combo of these next to like this green that's
actually really pretty. Okay so I went and grabbed kind of just this like rustic terracotta look
handled vase which is similar to a lot of vases that I have and I don't know I actually really
kind of like this. I feel like it is a fun punch of color but again still looks very natural with
color variations within the leaves. Also to really cover our bases I put it in this woven
vase because I have a woven vase from here that I really love as well and this looks really pretty
too you guys. I like how the stems are designed like I like how the stems and the leaves lay within
the stems and to have it styled like this I have one bent so like one is just like its full extended
stem and then one I like bent a little bit so I like bent it like this so you have like a taller
one that kind of like sticks up and then you have a lower one that goes off to the side. So that's
another little trick that I use when I am styling my stems is I make them a little bit asymmetrical
so it gives them some shape and structure. Okay these brown napkins are actually really beautiful
for fall just very simple but I love a chocolate brown detail and you can use these for the
holidays as well like the Christmas season $12.99 for a set of four. Are you kidding me look at this
pumpkin strawberry planter that is adorable it's made out of like a terracotta and it looks very
lifelike but imagine planting your strawberries in this for the fall that is so cute. These always
sell out so fast but these are great dupes for the anthropology icon glasses lots of places sell
these I have this candy corn one and I love it these are really fun for parties and stuff you
can put out the glasses and then everybody knows what shape is their glass and I think they're just
really fun to collect. I also wanted to show you guys this little leaf tray I know that Pottery Barn
sells some terracotta leaf trays that are so beautiful but this one is a little bit more
budget-friendly at $16.99 and I do kind of like the combination of the ceramic glaze with like this
brass detail or this faux brass detail on the stem. Okay so we're back home from the stores I'm
going to show you guys a little haul and styling session of everything that I picked up and the
first thing that I got was the stunning brick mold box. Now I could not pass this one up it was on
sale for $17 and I picture this with a little stack of books as a base and then this can be
stacked on top of that it's the perfect size for holding little card games or art supplies things
you kind of want to have on hand in a living room but you want them kind of tucked away because
they're not super aesthetic this is a great way to store it and then also it'd be great on a coffee
table to hold remotes because it's like the perfect size for that and the iron details on this piece
just look to be really authentically aged and I love how it does have that old world feel to it
like this looks like something that you would pick up at the antique store but in fact it was very
affordable and I can totally use this year-round which I love because I get more bang for my buck
that way it just adds that rustic warmth to a space that I love so much and the fact that this
was only $17 was such a great deal. Okay so unexpectedly probably one of my favorite things
of this entire haul ended up being these really beautiful fall leaf stems. Now I showed you guys
in the store how I was a little unsure because a lot of times I go for things that are a little
bit more muted in color and these felt a little bit more pigmented but actually once I got them
into my space I really thought that they looked very lifelike. Again what drew me to these was
the color variation on the leaves themselves. I think that it does look very lifelike and realistic
and it's fun to add a little pop of like rusty orangey color during the fall season so I ended
up getting three stems. I totally could have gotten away with two but with things like this
when I know that I really like them I just want to get one extra in case I want to put it in a larger
floor base down the line or something like that but the fact that this whole bundle of all three
of these stems came out to like 26 bucks was such a great deal. These to me remind me of something
that you would find at a floral or in the pottery barn displays. They really do just have such a
rustic kind of lifelike look to them which I am all about so definitely a great one to use as a
statement piece on maybe a dining table or some statement stems on like a console table so really
really good find especially for the price. Okay so another thing that I just could not pass up
was this gorgeous cream and kind of like deep green color heirloom pumpkin. I love the colors
and the pattern and I thought that this would just be a great styling piece to pop next to
decor that I already have. You all know that is like one of my favorite formulas for decorating
for the holidays or anything seasonal is where I can keep my decor that I love my rustic antiques
things like that and then just popping a simple festive piece next to it that feels natural and
elevated but still gives me a little punch of the season so this will be perfect to like pop on a
bench next to a vase or a shelf or a coffee table console table wherever it's just one of those
pieces that can work with the decor that I already have to make it feel a little bit more fall like.
Okay so again I love picking up those little affordable pieces that you can just mix in with
decor that you already have so I did end up getting the little acorn cloche candle so now that I have
it out of the packaging I can show you there's a little cloche lid which is the acorn and then
the candle is inside so once you burn through this this would actually be a really cute piece
of decor to store matches in or just use it as a little figural container in the bathroom for
something like q-tips or cotton swabs. I did end up going for the acorn over the pumpkin just
because I liked the richer brown I felt like that kind of went with my space better. We have a lot
of those deeper browns throughout our home so I felt like this fit in really well with that.
I love the texture of the acorn top and again I'm just gonna pop this next to decor that I already
have with little vignettes that I already have going around the house it will just give it that
festive fall feeling for like very very minimal money and effort which I'm all about but it still
really makes it feel cozy and elevated. Okay so with the changing of the seasons here in Phoenix
that means getting back out into the garden and getting outside a lot more. We ironically have
kind of like a hibernation season during the summer because it is just truly so hot with our
triple digit temperatures so we kind of like hibernate during the summer and then once fall
and winter come those are like our seasons to be outside. So with that being said I saw this
really beautiful sun hat and I actually loved the like woven pattern on it and kind of like the knot
detail around the rim and I thought that this would actually look really cute just styled on
our little wall hooks and it's perfect because then I can just grab it when I want to have
something to go outside it's right near our door so it looks really chic with the beautiful woven
material and the knot detail just hanging effortlessly on the wall but then I can actually
use it when I'm going out into the garden or it would even be a great hat to take on vacation if
we're like popping over to California to the beach or just want to have something to like elevate a
dress or an outfit or keep the sun off my face during a day of walking around a city and you
know when you can incorporate fashion into your decor and have it be a practical and aesthetic
combo I am all about it. Alright everyone that about wraps up this video. I hope that you guys
