Bronx Zoo works to rehabilitate hundreds of turtles rescued from illegal trade

The Bronx Zoo is serving as a sanctuary for approximately 800 turtles rescued from illegal trade. In partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society, the zoo rehabilitates these animals until they are healthy enough to be transferred to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for release back into their natural habitats.
