Finding Time to Paint Again | Testing New Soft Pastels on a Portrait

Hi friends! What began as a simple pastel test from Jackson's Art slowly became something more personal, as I found a little of my own feelings reflected in her melancholic expression. I started this Queen portrait back in spring, but a change in my daily routine left me with much less time to paint. During my summer vacation, I finally found the time to come back and finish it, and by then, it had come to mean much more to me than I expected.
