Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe creator plays a Ranked Seasons game in MLB The Show to earn points for packs while pursuing the completion of the MLB collections. After a dominant pitching performance by Jacob deGrom that nearly resulted in a no-hitter before the opponent rage-quit, the creator uses earned points to pull key cards, successfully completing the Texas Rangers collection and moving closer to unlocking Albert Pujols.
We have Field of Dreams content in MLB The Show, and we're just a couple days away from
a mega drop in this game.
We're getting new everything on the 21st.
Today's lineup is going to be Pete Crow Armstrong, Sean Figgins, Kattel Martey, Andrew Jones,
Shohei Otani, Rock Kalowski, Mike Wazowski, Matt Olsen, Jose Ramirez, and Jorge Posada.
He got win in this NL MVP race between Shohei Otani and Pete Crow Armstrong.
Can't stop talking about it at work.
I'm curious.
Let me know down below.
Subscribe if you're new.
If you're new to PAX Wilds, rules are in the description box down below, and boy, do you
have a fun playlist to watch through.
We're going to take our Ranked Seasons team into a game, try and score as many points
as we can.
Then we'll take those points, transfer them into packs on the store.
How do we get points for everything we do, like fantasy baseball?
We're also really close to getting Parallel 5 status on a couple of cards, so everything
we do is working us in multiple areas right now.
Again, as you guys know, we're down to just three cards to completing the entire MLB collections.
All we need is the Minnesota Twins, the Texas Rangers, and the Los Angeles Dodgers, but
we do have Shohei Otani.
We need Tarek Scouble to finish Shohei.
If only we got Blake Snell a week sooner, we would have Albert Pujols already.
Byron Buxton is the twin that we need, and then Jacob DeGrom is the Ranger that we need.
85 and 90 overalls.
Let's spin the wheel and see what our challenge is for today.
We complete this challenge, we can unlock a program or a collection reward.
We have to get a strikeout with four or more pitchers.
Okay, we got to get at least 1K with everyone who comes in the game.
All right, let's do it.
Let's play ranked, try and get another win, and get back up in the World Series before
what could potentially be the last weekend classic of the year.
Once we get too low, it's probably going to go into the final season of the year.
Make sure you're using that SeatGeek code, Shelfie.

the season.
You can also use that code on NBA, NHL, NFL, and concerts.
Take your 20 bucks.
Here we go.
We're going to be the home.
We've been so many home games this year.
I love it.
We got to hit Dustin May's New Threads card with the Brewers.
Uh-oh.
One pitch, one out.
Andrew Jones.
Did we get Andrew Jones in right field?
Absurd.
Nasty sinker.
Got in on the hands.
That'll be a routine play at second.
Two quick outs for the group.
Oh.
Ooh.
Okay.
We got to be careful with the fastball up.
He might be camping.
He almost got to us there, but it's three up, three down for Jacob.
Oh, my.
Pete Crow Armstrong start the ball game hot.
Exactly what he did last night.
A leadoff home run for Pete.
I got to see if that ... I think it was a little wide of the porch.
Too much of a line drive.
It's at least five points.
Did we get five more?
It was just underneath Penick's porch.
Ah.
Bad read.
In my head, I wanted the sinker in.
Oh, two on your daddy to start the second.
There's a big strikeout.
There's a nice point.
We at least got our one strikeout with the ground, but we had a good start to that first
inning and then went nose diving.
We got to have a clean inning here and then go score next.
That's a really good take, man.
Chase way up out of the zone.
Thank you.
Now, we've gotten them to expand the zone big time here.
See if we can either swing over or chop a change up.
Good take.
Now, I'm just going to try and paint a fastball in the corner.
Pure gas.
Dot the corner again.
Good change up from DeGrom.
I'm going to bear down on a heater and try and clip the corner again.
What are you looking at, man?
I missed my spot, thankfully.
I think he swung off the plate a few too many times.
He got mad at himself and then hurt himself by being too patient.
Rock.
Good swing inside cutter.
Nice play at third, though.
Oh, no.
Snuck one up there on us.
The old up and away sinker right on the corner.
Good pitch.
That was okay.
Every at bat since the homer has been brutal.
Good slider.
Yes, sir.
Ring him.
Oh, you're telling me that didn't clip the corner?
We'll go away.
Beautiful spot.
He fights it off.
Way to battle C.J. Abrams.
We'll do 3-2 again.
This time, I'm going to go change up in.
Throw me a good pitch here.
Throw me a good pitch.
Oh, that was not a good pitch, but it's not what he was looking for.
Ground ball to first base.
That'll be the second out of the inning.
Not quite.
I'm going to bear down on a heater down and away here.
Good spot.
Oh, he fought it off again.
He's been battling in these full counts.
Let's go to the change up away.
Put it on the corner.
Good spot.
Good pitch.
And it gets through the inning.
Got a little bunt dance in action.
Oh, that was a hanging slider.
That's one you should have been swinging at, my man.
Again, he's gotten overly patient in this game.
Not sure what's going on with that.
Ground ball to first base.
One down.
I'm going to throw a sinker down and in, trying a little back front door run back clip corner
on him.
Jacob, please.
One time.
Good spot.
Got him.
We're going to go slurve down.
Oh, something different.
We got some waste pitches, and we get him way out in front.
He hasn't seen that one in a while.
Three up, three down on the fourth inning, yet again.
We haven't had a base runner since the homer, though.
We haven't had a base runner the whole game.
And that's a great, great swing from Sean Figgins.
Only 88 eggs to velo.
That one should have been off the batter's eye.
That ball should have been cranked.
We were all over that.
And now Quetel Marte all over a sweeper.
The barrels are here.
Andrew Jones.
Again, I've got to stop chasing up out of the zone, because we saw with Figgins, even when
we get it, it doesn't go anywhere.
Three up, three down on my end again.
Yikes.
The swings are much better now, though.
We're going to get one to go again.
Let's keep pitching.
0-2 on Adley Rutschman.
We're double dotting.
He's not happy with how well we're pitching right now.
Line drive to left.
That's his best swing of the game, but we got a man there.
Line drive to first.
Two quick outs here in the fifth.
The Grom continues to deal.
It's a perfect pitch.
We're starting every at bat with a mega dot right now.
Let's go to the changeup down and away off the plate.
Good pitch.
It's 0-2 on Kyle Schwab.
Good hold.
Fastball up out of the zone.
Gas him up, Jacob!
The question is, do we keep going for what we got right now, or do we try and get those
four pitcher strikeouts?
I need more runs.
Or do I?
He might quit if we score more runs.
Shohei, hard ground ball right side, but again, we chased way off the plate.
Pop up from Cholowski.
Ball four.
Matt Olsen's going to walk.
There's our first base runner in four innings.
Disgusting.
Brings up J-Ram.
And then J-Ram.
Oh, a sinker right down the middle.
But I was way out in front.
And then he dots a heater away.
I thought it was going to sink and drop.
It did not.
And we can't hold up on the check swing.
What are we doing, man?
Pink!
It's a big out.
We needed that.
There's eight for DeGrom.
3-1 fastball right on the corner.
It's 3-2.
One out.
And I'm going to bear down on another fastball and get right at him.
Perfect release.
Oh, we did it again!
Fastball down and away.
Perfect pitch.
It's 0-2 on Singleton.
I'm going to try and save that bear down pitch for next inning.
Go slider.
And we got a ground ball to second base.
A big out.
We're through six with DeGrom.
Jorge?
Posada?
The other way into the water.
Make it 10!
A 10-point swing from Jorge Posada.
Oh, no!
I knew that was going to happen!
He rage quits.
We were six innings into a no-hitter.
Oh, we were so close!
We're six innings in!
We're never going to throw a no-hitter in this game, man.
It's just never going to happen.
We had two solo home runs.
One of them landed in the water.
That's 15 points.
We also had one walk puts us at 16, and we had nine strikeouts with DeGrom putting us
at 25.
We get a 25-point bonus for the rage quit puts us at 50, but, man, that's disappointing.
We were one strikeout from the strikeout bonus.
If he gives up a hit, we go into the bullpen.
I'm confident that we get our program collection reward, but even if we don't, we're pushing
for a no-hitter.
A win is a win at the end of the day.
That puts us at 48 and 14 on the year.
We have 50 points to spend and a choice pack to open.
Let's get into that and see if we can get a Scooble, a Buxton, or a DeGrom.
Any 91 overall pull gets us Albert Pujols.
Okay, here's what we're going to do.
We're going to spend all 50 points on just straight standard packs, and our choice pack
is going to go to this 85-plus live series diamond pack.
I think this is from the Field of Dreams Conquest map.
Reminder, right now in those live series collections, we need 85 live series Jacob DeGrom to complete
the Rangers, so any 85 overall, we're going to be able to trade in for DeGrom and finish
the Rangers, so I'm going to do the standard packs first because if we're lucky enough
to pull Buxton or another 90 that we can trade for Buxton, then we will definitely do the
trade in on DeGrom, even if it's a little bit more, so we're going to try and play this
strategically if we happen to get lucky.
Again, we need 190 and 185, and that will unlock Sean Figgins, Anibal Sanchez, and Felix
Hernandez in the American League.
If we pull Tarek Scooble or any 91 overall, that will finish the Dodgers collection.
It will get us Roy Campanella.
It will finish the entire National League for Albert Pujols.
We are just three cards from Troy Tolowitzky.
Four months into this game, we're three cards away, and we're guaranteed one of them right
now through the live series pack, so let's see if the standard packs can give us some
any luck.
If we get a 90 plus from the standards before that live series diamond, I'm going to lose
my mind.
All right?
11 packs in, nothing.
I'll be completely honest.
I'll even take the 85 diamond right now, and then we can hit on the live.
That live series pack can be a 90 plus.
It's just guaranteed an 85.
Imagine we get Otani out of that thing.
We trade it in for Scooble, and we get a half a million stubs.
25 packs in, halfway through the standards.
No bueno.
Jesus Lizardo in that last one.
He could be a diamond by the end of the year.
40 packs in, still no diamonds.
I'm not surprised.
Creator packs juiced.
Gold Joe Ryan, another guy.
Probably fringe diamond.
It could probably bump him up to diamond at any update.
Five to go.
Just let me get an 85 at least.
Supposed to get one per 50 SDS, and I'm on YouTube.
My packs are supposed to be juiced.
Oh, at the buzzer, like I said.
Like I said.
Please be blue.
Ah, it's purple.
It's an 85, though.
So there's our, and you know what?
It's a ranger, which makes it even cooler.
So we can trade him in for Jacob deGrom.
Hopefully now the live series pack is at least a 90.
So then we could at least do the American League.
If it's a 91, we'll do the Dodgers.
If it's a 90, we'll do Bucks,
and we'll finish the American League.
We have one more standard pack.
At least one trade in.
Oh, this live series pack would do so much right now.
If this is a 90 plus diamond,
we are going to finish a league.
We're gonna finish a league if it's a 90 plus diamond.
And it is!
It's purple!
Of course it's purple.
Two 85s.
We'll trade in Corey, that Corey Seeger.
We will collect Jacob deGrom.
That finishes the Rangers collection now.
40 out of 40.
This collection was a little bit more difficult
earlier in the year.
I think Seeger was up.
They had a couple other diamonds,
but the Rangers have just had a weird season.
89 Pudge Rodriguez.
All-star card is the reward.
We also complete the American League West.
That gives us the entire division collection reward.
Guerrero, Keith Falk, Berkman, Pudge.
That gives us 2,000 stubs.
And, oh yeah, Dust, Sean Figgins.
I'm like, who is the collection reward?
We already have a Figgins in our lineup,
but that one we can add to our inventory.
So now we're just 190 plus diamond away in each league.
We need 90 overall.
Byron Buxton to finish the Twins for Anibal Sanchez.
That'll get us 99 Felix Hernandez.
And then Tarek Scouble.
I can't believe this happened, man.
We were Blake Snell away from unlocking Albert Pujols.
The trade deadline happens.
Scouble gets swapped over to the Dodgers.
We immediately get Blake Snell right after.
So now we're still one card away.
Albert Pujols has been one card away
for like seven straight episodes.
It's gotta be the next one.
